Well i went to hobby co yesterday (while in sydney seeing the archibald prize) and had a look at some of the faller models and had a heart attach at some of the prices. There a bit dear the faller free fall model was $240. Anyway i'm off cya's

Hey all. Well this is what’s happing and I need some help. I am making a working model like the Giant Drop but it is a stand up. I have already made the tower and the track it welded to the tower. I have a motor at the top of the tower with a real for the cable togo around when the gondola is winched to the top. Every thing is ok but I need help with Magnetics. The winch come down like the GD but instead of the way it works I want to use magnetcis to grab it and winch to the top. and the brakes are magnetic as well. Here’s my problem. I need to be able to control the magnetics with battery power, I want to be able to cut the power then the magnetic release at the top and the Gondola will freefall to the bottom and the mag brake will kind of work the same way. Does anyone know anything about magnetics? Thanks simon

I am voting for the cyclone (big dipper). I have been on both rides and by far the cyclone was the better one FOR ME. I dont really care what the ride looks like or the theming becasue a coaster is still the same coaster with or without the theming/ trees/ landscape or what ever. the demon was really rough when going into the loops. It was like the track was made up of small straight section the form the curves. The cyclone was way smoother when i rode it this year. So That just my say if it makes sence. Anyway Cya

Since where on the GD topic does anyone know how far the tower moves in high winds? I dont some work on the center point tower in Sydney and it moves like 5m sometime so i was just wonder about the GD/ TOT.

The wheel arnt the ones that are on the trains. They are just spares that they had. I was told by email that they were then when i rang i was told that they are the "spares" and come with a certificate of authenticity. Anyway i hope you actually get a "real one" that wason the train

i was just saying that he shouldnt have said that until it was true it is. I said that because i read ages ago in a news article that some one posted something like that and they got in **** from it cause the guy got sacked.
