Ok so I'm back from my trip (which is great). Now I have one question (or maybe more) about the tower of terror in California Adventure and Hollywood Studios. So how does how does it work? Going up and down. At first I though cable... but how does it work when the elevators move back and forth (mainly at Hollywood studios).. At hollywood studios there are 3 lifts but only 2 shafts. See its all a great mystery to me (and a great ride). I would be so thankful if someone could tell me how it works. And the special effects... Thanks

There was a sweet documentary on discovery sometime last year that showed you how it all worked. Hey gazza when you went to florida did you ride it? I noticed when I rode it how you get very light headed when going backwards and you hit the banked turn, I wasn't the only one to experience this however, I overheard other riders saying the same thing when they got off the ride. Did you experience this at all?

I sent an email like last week asking if they could confirm the closing of the ride... and all they said back was the ride was going to be closed for a while and were unsure it would re-open. Not there exact words but its what they said.

Like I did, buy one from ebay, you pay maximum of 600 for limited edition (only in japan) ceramic white 80 gig with built in NTSC/PAL converter + SIXAXIS controller + game of your choice (from the list). Actually I just checked ebay, there going for a larger price atm due to high demand for christmas. Oh Aidan what are you on about when you say there is no dual shock controller!? The dual shock came out when PS3 came out and at EB it was an extra 20 to upgrade to dual shock. Also the PS3 controller does not use sensors like the Wii as you said... when they were first released they did but now they use accelerometers like in the iPod touch (i have one YAY). All the dual shocks use accelerometers although SIXAXIS is still using sensors like you said. People do buy new consoles for graphics however... but not just that... for quicker game play with state of the art processors, better game atmosphere, many more players in one game (great when you have heaps of buddies over). I think the whole XBOX 360 and PS3 battle is stupid. They both have there pros and cons. PS3 has better graphics while xbox has more game variety, ps3 has a more comfortable controller (voted on PCGamer) while the xbox controller actually lasts longer in game play. I prefer playstation simply because its what I owned most of my life and I love the shapes, easy to remember. I do own an xbox and xbox 360 but I find myself playing either games on the computer or ps2 more than the other two platforms. I do own a Wii however and I'm still not to keen on the console, most like because I don't have enough games yet. Thats my 2 cents

I know what your saying about the blue ray Aidan but the thing is.. not everyone is going to use the consol for gaming. PS3 is and will be popular just the ps1 and ps2 was so they are always going to be making blue ray ps3 games. I don't own a PS3 yet (although I do Xbox 360) but I have played the PS3 numerous times. Like I said, I find the PS3 IMO the better gaming console and a more comfortable controller to grip. I also think the buttons are most accessible. I do currently have a ceramic white ps3 coming for my birthday... and only bought it cheap. I must admit you WOULD have to be stupid to pay 700 for only a 40 gig black when I payed only 450 (570 with postage) for a an 80 gig white (only out in japan atm) PS3 with bonus controller and game. I know when I get all this stuff for my room (the tv, ceiling speakers and all that) that I won't be using the PS3 as a DVD plater but just for gaming, serving the net and using ORB. I will just be using a normal DIVX dvd player/recorder until I know for sure if Blue Ray or HDDVD will be used. HDDDVD or BlueRay is different throughout the globe. The UK sells more BlueRay discs at roughly 71% more than HDDVD.

Aww your forgetting the best one. PS3... blue ray standard... higher and more advanced processors which people are using for hacking, has a more modern and chic looking case, controllers are lighter than xbox 360 controllers, better graphics than the 360 (imo that is)... and that playstation has always kicked xbox butt lol.

DeJa Vu is crap and has to much downtime. Last time I was at SFMG the ride broke down numerous time throughout the day, that was back in 05.. only two years ago.. and talk is the DeJa Vu is still being a well I can't use that word on these forums. I just personally think DW needs to tidy up there act. No point in saying my ideas here as everyone has already said them in numerous (what is next or how could dreamworld be better) forums. Just the fact they class the Mick Doohan a thrill annoys me. But I don't think DW will be like it use to be.

Sounds like a fun day. I always love WnW... its a fun park... when its not packed off course. Shame you didn't get on the tornado. I love the mach 5... although I must admit the 3 middle slides do give you massive welts on your shoulder blades. I only got to ride the black hole once... but it was great!

Any one play MySims yet? I played a demo at ebay to... its a bit weird. Again crap too cartoonish graphics.

Well... when I went there last year we did the H20 zone first and did tornado... But since the surfrider is there I would expect that what would be your best shot. If you have the chance go to WnW when the dive in movies are on. Not to watch the movie of course but to simply jump on rides and re ride all of them. My sisters and I did the tornado about 11 times that night, 7 times for black hole, too many times on the MACH 5 and all the other night constantly as well. It was a good night, we went 3 days later in the park and ended up staying 45 minutes... it was simply just to busy.

Yeah don't buy The Simpson's game... worse released game ever. Too easy and too quick... I owned it for a week... traded it in for Stuntman.

As I said a few posts ago... What is with Wii games? lol This seems like another attempt to make another game that will turn out to be a hit. They do that to much now... Nothing will beat Mariokart or Marioworld or what ever they were called.

When my uncle and cousins went to SFMM last year they took a camera on the Goliath, X, De Ja Vu and Riddler's Revenge... ride ops. told them it was fine to do so... so.. what the? lol
