  1. This has been in motion for a while, long before this incident occurred. So in this case, you are 100% incorrect in stating that this change has occurred because of this incident.
  2. Gazza is unique. I'll put my 2 bob in, because everyone else has. Personally, I really don't give squat if we never see a B&M branded coaster in Australia. Shouldn't our priority (especially in this hostile environment) to get rides which are great, regardless of who designed or constructed it? Seriously, stop the wishing, we aren't going to see one on Australian Shores for a very long time, let's just enjoy the fact that we are still getting some very awesome installations, and at a frequent enough pace to keep us interested.
  3. I see we finally have that Like Button! I'd suggest people who are a bit lazy to be cautious of hitting the "login with Facebook" button, as unless your account is already linked with your Facebook, a new account based on your Facebook will be created. Whoops!
  4. John Longhurst rang, he said he wants his park back.... Joz hit the nail on the head though, Noel was good, and the park is looking it's best it has in quite some time, now hopefully the replacement is able to continue fixing the broken, and not do a Stephen Gregg's and break what's not broken, and milk the parks assets dry. Only time will tell.
  5. When I was there, I also found Scream to be a rather rough and "Meh" ride, despite everyone else giving it rave reviews. My views however may have been compounded due to the concussion X2 and Revolution gave me in the morning. The Ninja staff member you mention is a resident if I recall, with his "Hi-Ya" being something he chooses to do, not instructed.
  6. It's a shame we don't have a Dippin' Dots in the parks, the Dippin Dots guy at Santa Cruz Boardwalk told me that 2015 is when Disney hits Australia.
  7. Happy to be corrected as Necessary. Regardless if it started it's life in 1982, or earlier, it was old and past it's usable service life.
  8. I was under the impression it was added when Magic Mountain sold all their assets either prior or post their 1991 closure. The Paratower was also sold to Wonderland.
  9. Got to remember that Dora was from Magic Mountain, so it was quite an old Machine, and a time will eventually come where the cost to repair/ refurbish just isn't worth it.
  10. Time for Kennyland to return perhaps if this is indeed true?
  11. It's funny though, some of us are getting upset that we may be getting the non extended version, but looking at some clips on YouTube of already operating basic versions of the ride, it's ride time is actually longer than the Extended version of the ride, simply because it is running 2 circuits of the track, not just the 1. Personally though, I don't think any accusations or name calling should be made until such time as it is more clear of what we are receiving. Ever heard of "Not judging a book by it's cover"?
  12. Am I the only one concerned that these rides haven't got more than one train? Extended or not, if the X-Car does end up coming to Dreamworld, it is still a very good and worthy attraction.
  13. Port-a-loo the ride perhaps? Tied in with the film Kenny?
  14. Sad, but just goes to show even the tamest, trained animals can get angry or annoyed at any time. Hopefully a full recovery is made.
  15. Yes Keadz, but how many of them actually offer reliable, first hand content? That is the question.
  16. Where is the Like button? Richard, we need Like Buttons!
  17. Because Consturction updates are far superior to Construction updates
  18. It's part of that new Mega Coaster they are getting this year isn't it Joz?
  19. Sense Randy, Sense. No, no one forced me to watch it, but perhaps a video straight to the point next time or just posting the pictures would be better?
  20. Can someone tell me where I can get the 3 minutes I gave to watching that video back?
  21. I am sorry, but I really don't get how the boats being removed from the attraction building = boats being sold and need to be re-purchased if they suddenly decide they want to build a new boat attraction. Am I blind or something?
  22. I was always under the impression that some of the trams were kept (now for paradise country use) whilst the remainder were sold to Australia Zoo, someone correct me if I'm wrong.
  23. If the park has sold the boats, that usually means they will not repurchase them a few months later, if they were to just re-theme and keep the ride system largely unchanged, why would they sell the boats? Where is this information from? You have to realise a decision such as closing a ride isn't taken lightly, it's not like they just flicked the closed flag on the computer, they would have some sort of plans for the area, even if not finalised, same goes for other closed attractions (Bermuda, Eureka, the Peoplemover) they have all closed for a reason, not just because someone can't be bothered opening the attraction anymore.
  24. Whilst sad that the ride appears to be dead, as westical pointed out the ride is taking a very long time to die, so even though it's doubtful, the ride could come back in a refurbished form. Personally, if the ride isn't coming back or something similar in terms of quality, i'd actually be in favor ripping the complex out and expanding the land. I suppose time will tell, aslong as the building doesn't turn into park theming like Eureka or the Peoplemover.
  25. It appears so Linus, but who knows for sure at this stage. The Disko on the other hand is looking to be a rather large model of the ride.
