  1. It's the type of attraction you give your guest when...........................
  2. Probably lies, it's the animals fault. MW blamed the guest for DD changed cycle, now Sea World all of a sudden cares about how noise affects fish. SW housing a Polar Bear on the GC, tells me all I need to know.
  3. I haven't seen that marketing. Can you point me in the direction of the marketing where you will get a different ride experience every time you ride @Narra
  4. Why not shut down the backwards queue? Not like it doesn't go backwards anyway.
  5. I've lost all hope for that area because I get the feeling, if the nighwatchman can't put an IP to it, they are not interested in it. Not willing to step outside of the triangle.
  6. All parks on the GC are having issues that need to resolved. You already mentioned MW so no need to repeat it. DW still has the issue of not enough people to keep it open all day, during the week. They both really have the same issues but are dealing with it differently.
  7. Sad day, not because of the ride going but that area is the best themed area within the park. Hopefully it's only a temporary removal.
  8. Hopefully more people don't go and the nightwatchman of the park wake up to it and make positive changes to get people back.
  9. I wouldn't try to you know it's fixed. I've heard some people claimed their ticket and the ticket wasn't emailed to them.
  10. DD should have been a big Gyro Swing from the start. Got caught up with, we don't install rides that are similar to other parks. GL & DD turned out well.
  11. Whats the chance MW replacement for DD will also be called DD? @Levi
  12. Thank you @Ash F$%k, the theming looks better without the ride.
  13. This Gyro Swing is more suited for Luna park. If LP sells Pharaoh's Cure to MW to replace DD, the Claw might fit in PC's location. 🙄
  14. I don't know if DW were making record profits 🤷‍♀️ but from the outside, it looked like DW's profits were being spent, on growing Main Event.
  15. You would fill in the hole with fill and add a topping slab. There would be no reason to remove the footings of the ride. The Wipeout footings and Wipeout pool still remain underground. The rapid ride remains underground, below ST.
  16. @Guest 239or too expensive to maintain, is another reason why they get taken away. The slow death of an attraction theming, because the park stops spending on the upkeep. As soon as a park goes into a period where guest numbers dry up and clash flow slows, it's the first item the parks stop spending money on. It's a dead give away of a parks financial state of play, when you see failing theming.

  18. This is the inaugural, maybe/probably last, Australian 2024 Theme Park Enthusiasts Awards. Let’s keep it simple. Copy & paste nominated categories. Nominate one choice for each category. Nominations outside of Australia will not be counted. After 2 weeks, all nominations will be counted and the top 3 of each category will be voted on. Don't forget people, Australia wide, not just the Gold Coast. The award for each category winner, is knowing you won. Best Food Best Guest Experience Best Park operations Best Coaster Best Family Coaster Best Flat Ride Best Themed area Best Show Best Kids’ Area Best new attraction for 2024 Best Amusement Park
