The connection isn’t going to tell you if it’s hyper or mega. Half of the ride might have 6 rods tying the ride down and the other half might have 4 anchor rods. Just like the track it changes depending on what is required for that section. Superman has at least 3 different track configurations shown in this picture.

This might help you to work out what is going on. Look at the base of the Mack Mega Coaster. Do you see something the same shape? I don't know but would assume the plates are to set out the rods then discarded. Anybody agree?

I like the idea of a tunnel. How high would it have to be to let the sail boats pass.

When I learnt Suspended Twin Hammer was the next addition and I looked up this- I was disappointed. What MW has accomplished with this ugly ride is remarkable. @AlexB I would wait also. If you have dates flashing around for DD opening it could confuse some people that the coaster is opening too. Just remember @AlexB The building code doesn't care if you burn down your Neighbour’s house. The building code just makes sure you neighbour has enough time to get out of the house before it burns to the ground. I went to MW world early to try and sketch up the peg layout but somebody is having a laugh.
