  1. @Santa07 Never @Theme Park Girl Why did you not do the TVC if you were at the park? If I was had the day off I would have popped my cherry.
  2. The connection isn’t going to tell you if it’s hyper or mega. Half of the ride might have 6 rods tying the ride down and the other half might have 4 anchor rods. Just like the track it changes depending on what is required for that section. Superman has at least 3 different track configurations shown in this picture.
  3. Yay. Take the kids to the Broadwater and look at that the whole time. It's not a river. One option was to connect the spit to South Straddie and over to Brisbane Road
  4. What's your idea? A big ass bridge would look shit and be higher than the gold coast highway bridge to let the sail boats out.
  5. This might help you to work out what is going on. Look at the base of the Mack Mega Coaster. Do you see something the same shape? I don't know but would assume the plates are to set out the rods then discarded. Anybody agree?
  6. I like the idea of a tunnel. How high would it have to be to let the sail boats pass.
  7. @AlexB Maybe they didn't want some tool jumping the fence thinking they would end up with a new-
  8. Documents seen by the Bulletin reveal Village Roadshow employed traffic consultants to prepare a submission to the council as councillors prepare to vote on Sunland’s twin 44-level tower development. http://www.goldcoastbulletin.com.au/news/gold-coast/theme-park-launches-shock-protest-against-sunlands-planned-twin-towers/news-story/1e574fb412310e439c3232b64c49dba5 SW was opposed to the twin towers. I think SW will build into the existing car park and the casino will provide the parking for SW. All the land on this map is crown land. Car park already goes outside SW boundaries. If I recall correctly, the original Sunland development was going to reclaim some of the Broadwater. SAVE OUR SPIT statement- SOSA has been in direct contact with officials from the state government yesterday. To clarify the mixed news reports - • No, there has been no signing off on anything other than the initial request (process deed) to see preliminary details of a proposed development. This happened over a year ago so it is not news • No, the state government has not approved anything or signed off on any approval of anything. As far as a proposal or any detail - nothing has been tabled by ASF • The state government is cautious and skeptical at this stage, but is engaging with ASF nonetheless to at least see what they propose • There are strong indications suggesting that the state government inherited this mess from the LNP and is looking to see the process through to cover its liabilities and obligations - to be proactive in its approach to development and investment - but also heavily scrutinise any proposals and if need be, reject them. The Sunday Mail report yesterday, contains many false/unattributed/unsupported statements and remarks. We suspect the story has been manufactured to put downward pressure on local councillors to create confusion, fear and ultimately force support for items such as Sunland's proposal and this yet-to-exist proposal. No, SOSA has NOT given ASF our blessing, and it is a lie that has been printed by the Sunday Mail without any attributed source or evidence. SOSA is strongly opposed to megadevelopments and towers on The Spit, and we are strongly opposed to any private/commercial/large developments north of where there currently is, this includes any notion of a fanciful yet completely unusable cruise terminal. SOSA supports the view that the city plan, including height limits, must remain enforced and respected.
  9. I've seen loads of photos of Mack Rides tracks sitting outside. Good luck with working out what is for MW.
  10. When I learnt Suspended Twin Hammer was the next addition and I looked up this- I was disappointed. What MW has accomplished with this ugly ride is remarkable. The detail MW have put into the ride is impressive. @reanimated35 Time to rock the Parkz shirt @Richard should make @Theme Park Girl a official Parkz photographer. Thank you @Theme Park Girl For all the photos you have posted. You have made this build very enjoyable to watch.
  11. ^ In short, who cares what they do for the foundations, I'm going to be riding this beast above ground.
  12. @AlexB I would wait also. If you have dates flashing around for DD opening it could confuse some people that the coaster is opening too. For example, was the news article yesterday about Wanda it said a theme park the “size“ of Disney. Tom Tate response in a second article was it will be great to get Disney on the coast. Tate was very excited about Disney coming to the Gold Coast.
  13. A NEW coastal city, with scope for a Disney-sized theme park, education, housing, retail and commercial space has been proposed between Brisbane and the Gold Coast under a historic deal between the owners of 248 properties. A parcel of sugarcane land more than 10 times the size of Surfers Paradise, bordered by the M1, Moreton Bay and two rivers, is on the market A statement released by Canford Property, which is running the sales campaign, said agents had already spoken to “some of China’s largest developers and theme park operators who want to unseat Disney and develop one of world’s largest theme parks on the Gold Coast”. One of China’s richest people Wang Jianlin has made no secret of his ambitions to take Disney’s worldwide theme park crown through his Wanda Group In the Bulletin. They are looking at 10 years before the planning will be approved. Another 5 years for civil works. This could end up being 20 years away. If the Wanda group wanted to build a theme park here, would they wait 20 years?
  14. So sad but happy at the same time, that looks like a great climbing tree.
  15. @AlexB They are not the pegs I was looking for. I also stole the photo.
  16. Just remember @AlexB The building code doesn't care if you burn down your Neighbour’s house. The building code just makes sure you neighbour has enough time to get out of the house before it burns to the ground. I went to MW world early to try and sketch up the peg layout but somebody is having a laugh.
