    Regulations are more of a guide for the smokers and small businesses. I recently worked on a nightclub refurb in surfers and the drawings and reports had to be submitted to QLD health for approval, it wouldn't surprise me if the theme parks had to do something similar.

    It's clearly a cost cutting exercise. DW reduce hours during the week to save money, village extends ride downtimes to save money. It really isn't a big deal.

    @JobeI didn't say you're wrong, I said you were getting over excited with this. You said they can't alter it and you have now cleared up what they can alter. What will happen one day when no company is willing to build a new car for it? A whole lot of legislation was written for Luna Park and not just the heritage stuff and if we have learnt anything from SW building heights, governments change this stuff all the time. The ride is protected for now. @Dean Barnettthere is no need to add to what @Jobesaid, he did a good job all by himself.

    Maintaining the heritage and amenity of the area and keeping everything exactly the same are two very different things. Who hasn't seen a heritage house with a box extension on the back?

    I thought so too. I wasn't going to go this year because it looked the same as every other year but ended up going just to experience the New Atlantis at night. The show on the water was my least favourite of all shows I've seen and if felt like a bit a mess to be honest. I ended up grabbing some food on the way home as the food was 👎 Carnival felt like SW gave it a free pass this year because of New Atlantis. SW did great with the New Atlantis at night, it's just a shame you can only experience it once a year.
