  1. The Bushranger Train Hold Up Shown got a good reception.
  2. It will be a better show than HWSD2. Then again, watching the cat sleep is more interesting than watching HWSD2. Do these shows drive attendance or give the person already going something else to do?
  3. @The Original Belinda Brown was given the opportunity/ a way to continue without paying and she made her decision not to engage any further.
  4. @The Original Belinda Brown wanted a free ride. Even @AlexBdoesn't mind putting money in the hat.
  5. Parkz forums members are DW guest. Parkz forums members are the ones who buy the cream at Fright Nights. Parkz forum members are the ones who book out Star Tour Access for months at MW. Parkz forum members are the first ones to shell out money to ride rivals backward. I don't know if it's true or not but DW has shown little care for Parkz forum members in the past.
  6. The new GCCC pdonline system sux. If you found this within the building applications tab, it is approved. Applications are no longer loaded into this area until the plans are approved. It will now only show approved once construction is completed and the work has been signed off.
  7. Magicians shows have been at DW before the I remember one that was a good show but if SV was going the extra entertainment it wouldn't be required right now. Not only is SV sitting empty but DW is having to try and fill the gap.
  8. 100% correct. 100% incorrect DW has been building singles & double for the last 15 years and it's turned DW into what we have today. Claw = 2 - 3 points. DW Corroboree = 1.5 points. ABC area = 3 points. Ginger Glider = 1 point. Tail Spin = 2 points. Pandamonium = 2 points. Buzzsaw = 3 points. Shockwave = 1 point. Hot Wheels Sidewinder = 2 points. Mick Doohan Motocoaster = 1.5 points. Nick Central / Dreamworks = 5 points. Tiger Island = 5 points. WWW = 4 points. Zombie Evilution = gone. Brock's Garage = gone. AVPX = gone. Let's now see what draws people to DW. Tiger Island WWW Dreamworks. All home runs.
  9. They need to try something because nothing else has worked. OR Dreamworld could try listening to the non 0.00000000000001% of people who love paying for shaded seating.
  10. That was not a logical review. This is a huge disappointment and the added effect make it feel cheap. My first thoughts were, MW went to Aldi on a Wednesday super special day. If MW did a line up with opening day Version 1 ride and version 2.0 nobody would give 2.0 a look in.
  11. Sounds like DW going with their standard construction methods for Sky Voyager here. Hit it with a hammer. A bit of magic. Pray a bit. Fuck it.
  12. @Jdude95 Last week I was robbed by a China man and I knew this because when I got home my homework was done, my computer was upgraded, but 2 hours latter the f**ker was still trying to reverse out of my driveway. I would like a Wacky Worm Coaster for adults only.
  13. Two years ago, DW had a different CEO with a different plan. The new CEO's plan was to remove it by the end of the year. The sudden announcement indicates to me, during maintenance DW thought it wasn't worth spending the money that was required to keep it going for another 6 months. With DW knowing the Wipeout was "not long for this world" the structured replacement and lifecycle program is the shaded seating. ( @AlexBmissing 3 days on Parkz is like missing a lifetime of information)
  14. Watching some news and eating my chicken wings on Saturday night and who do you think jumped on my T.V. to torment me? The one and only @Jdude95 I do have to say; all my training has paid off and @Jdude95 carried himself very well. Now all we need is a cure for his post-nasal drip.😊
  15. A new entry to the theme park is positioned to be in close proximity to The Broadwater pathway, ferry terminal and new resort. A plaza between the theme park entry and resort provides a comfortable environment for visitors to gather while waiting to enter the theme park, taking in views across The Broadwater. A publicly accessible boardwalk extends along The Broadwater edge providing access to and views of the water, and pedestrian and cycle connections between the Village Centre and the Top of The Spit. Glimpses of the activities in Sea World can be obtained from the boardwalk. A node of activity is located at the intersection of The Broadwater pathway and the east-west pathway, accommodating a cafe offering views of the water and providing a rest stop along The Broadwater pathway.
  16. "Chris, where are you going with that grease gun" "I'm going to grease up the Wipeout's nipples Ben" "Stop right there, I'm not having that going on in my park. Close it down"
  17. I blame @Jdude95 John Osborn is no CEO. John Osborn has been promoted to the spin doctor.
  18. What were you doing in 1993? It was a big year for Dreamworld as it was the year that one of our much-loved thrill rides WipeOut opened. WipeOut is the oldest of Dreamworld’s collection of thrill rides and after a little over 25 years of service it is time for WipeOut to retire. Although WipeOut will be going into retirement, Dreamworld still has more than 40 rides, slides and attractions including thrill rides Hot Wheels Sidewinder, Tower of Terror II, Giant Drop, Buzzsaw, The Claw, Pandamonium and Tailspin. There are also many new and old family-friendly rides, a water park, LEGO store, one of Australia’s largest collections of native animals, a world-class tiger conservation precinct and a celebration of Indigenous culture and history, making Dreamworld Australia’s largest and most diverse theme park. Following a significant amount of feedback from loyal guests, Dreamworld has decided to convert the area currently occupied by WipeOut into a ‘chill space’ featuring shading and seating. Dreamworld CEO, John Osborne said, “during the long hot summer we received regular feedback from our guests that they would like more shaded areas and comfortable seating in close proximity to our dining areas and major rides. “The retirement of WipeOut presents a great opportunity to provide such an area in a very convenient and central location,” he added. “We continue to look at opportunities for further investment into the park, and have some exciting news to announce next week, as well as the opening of our world-class flying theatre Sky Voyager coming soon.” Thank you to our millions of guests who have taken on the challenge of flipping, spinning, twisting and tumbling on WipeOut since it opened in December 1993. Share your WipeOut memories on Instagram using #wipeoutmemories to farewell this old favourite. Vintage cars is now shit. Log Ride is now shit. Train is now shit. Replacing Wipeout with shaded seating is another slap in the face for DW guest.
