Sea World lighthouse - Star Flyer replacement

@Jamberoo Fannote before I continue. I'm not a town planner and I'm not going to spend hours digging out the information but I could be "correct in what I say below": The codes for Sea World if you're that interested @Jamberoo Fan. https://cityplan.goldcoast.qld.gov.au/Pages/Plan/Book.aspx?exhibit=GCCC_CityPlan&hid=40376 https://cityplan.goldcoast.qld.gov.au/Pages/Plan/Book.aspx?exhibit=GCCC_CityPlan&hid=40228https://cityplan.goldcoast.qld.gov.au/Pages/Plan/Book.aspx?exhibit=GCCC_CityPlan&hid=40229 https://cityplan.goldcoast.qld.gov.au/Pages/Plan/Book.aspx?exhibit=GCCC_CityPlan&hid=40378&s=Sea world precinct https://cityplan.goldcoast.qld.gov.au/Pages/Plan/Book.aspx?exhibit=GCCC_CityPlan&hid=40378&s=Sea world precinct https://cityplan.goldcoast.qld.gov.au/Pages/Plan/Book.aspx?exhibit=GCCC_CityPlan&hid=40268 https://cityplan.goldcoast.qld.gov.au/Pages/Plan/Book.aspx?exhibit=GCCC_CityPlan&hid=40270 https://cityplan.goldcoast.qld.gov.au/Pages/Plan/Book.aspx?exhibit=GCCC_CityPlan&hid=40272 https://cityplan.goldcoast.qld.gov.au/Pages/Plan/Book.aspx?exhibit=GCCC_CityPlan&hid=40443 https://cityplan.goldcoast.qld.gov.au/Pages/Plan/Book.aspx?exhibit=GCCC_CityPlan&hid=40280 https://cityplan.goldcoast.qld.gov.au/Pages/Plan/Book.aspx?exhibit=GCCC_CityPlan&hid=40449 https://cityplan.goldcoast.qld.gov.au/Pages/Plan/Book.aspx?exhibit=GCCC_CityPlan&hid=40462 https://cityplan.goldcoast.qld.gov.au/Pages/Plan/Book.aspx?exhibit=GCCC_CityPlan&hid=40474 https://cityplan.goldcoast.qld.gov.au/Pages/Plan/Book.aspx?exhibit=GCCC_CityPlan&hid=40288 https://cityplan.goldcoast.qld.gov.au/Pages/Plan/Book.aspx?exhibit=GCCC_CityPlan&hid=40486 HAD strict height restrictions. From the not so new town plan. The purpose of the Sea world precinct will be achieved through the following additional overall outcome: To maintain low rise development (excluding theme park rides) to retain the natural open space character of the Spit area. Required outcomes Height RO4 Building does not exceed that shown on the Building height overlay map. OR Structures relating to theme park rides do not have a prescribed height limit. -
@AlexBstop using common sense. What money has DW sunk into the water park? The last I heard was the "planning" of the water park expansion & dark ride was progressing. I haven't seen any funds allocated to the expansion or dark ride. The previous stage 3 WWW expansion required a development approval due to the increase size to the original approval. (a development approval would take around 12 weeks to get) There is no current development approval which leads to a few ideas. DW haven’t finished planning the expansion. The plans aren’t ready to be lodged for a development approval. The extension isn’t as extensive as the killed off stage 3. Parkz members expectations with the size of the expansion won’t be met.

What did SW expect? The shop entrance says, come inside. SeaJellies entrance says, come inside for a mugging. If you’re going to put 2 front doors on your house expect to confuse your visitors unless you clearly indicate which door to knock on. -

Did you know diarrhea is hereditary? It runs in your jeans! You never really appreciate what you've got until it's gone. Toilet paper is a good example A better option would be the raft not to capsize but would I know. -

True but you wouldn't ask the tyre shop to rebuild your motor. The recurring problem I see is DW tasked companies to perform specific jobs. If I go to a tyre shop and get fitted some brand spanker new tyres and I drive 12 feet down the road and the motor goes bang, do I still have to pay the tyre shop? The inspector’s job was to sign off what was working in front of him. The e-stop button worked. No automated PLC to test. Tick, tick, tick. -

True words spoken. What I really want to know is why are so many rides down. I have a few theories. The rides are rooted. DW don’t want to spend money to fix the rides. DW don’t have any money to fix the rides. DW maintenance guy poked himself in the eye while combing his hair. Ardent is selling the park and want to keep the kms down. DW don’t know what they are doing. DW are having troubles finding new fall out guys to operate the rides. DW have closed the rides to save money. DW didn’t pay the power bill. DW are at the post office to see if I they are still wanted. DW maintenance guy put his uniform in the microwave to dry it and it caught on fire. DW maintenance staff are all at an inquest. DW are stupid. The rides are open, but nobody is riding them. DW maintenance staff are lost.

It's not unnatural for a drowning man to pull people under with him but this dude needs to pick up the mirror and stop playing the blame game. -
Red opening is smaller than Green opening. Blue = possible location for a connection to a hanging beam.
-
I believe you're right Richard. I had that as the front but it's clearly the side now.
-
I have no clue on how this goes together or even if we’re looking at the same connection, but I was thinking the plates I have marked is where the gondola comes out of the module. Now I'm back at my desk and can see the image I can see a space beside the structure marked X. They added new foundations where the I-Ride sits.
-
The approval is on the superseded planning scheme, but I've enjoyed to many drinks between then and now to recall if it was rushed due the planning scheme changes.
-
@joelI'm leaning towards @Richard's theory of DW continuing the practise of Pandamonium soft and hard mode.
-
If 1 standard modular hold 10 riders. If 1 stack of 3 modules holds 30 riders. If DW are aiming for 60 riders. Does this lean towards 2 theatres?

You will be towed because the council has cracked down on freeloader campers at the spit.
