I've posted a concept plan in Parkz somewhere before, of the track been turned into a walkway. -

If SW are removing the monorail, why wouldn’t SW just take an oxy torch to it like MW did to AA? Carefully removing some parts doesn’t sound like demolition unless SW are hard up on cash and want to sell the copper. -
The Flash: Speed Force coming to Movie World

My gut is telling me 2 things. 1. I'm hungry. 2. If there isn't an unforeseen problem with the car, MW will unofficially open Flash early with no theming and close it again after Christmas to theme the ride. -

If we learnt anything from the inquiry into the DW is the people caring out the maintenance aren't engineers. Yes, Village have a couple of engineers, but I doubt they do the day-to-day task. Village current job opportunity - Rides Mechanical Tradesperson Your role Your day to day: • Undertake park pre-opening safety checks • Respond to breakdowns on various equipment and partaking in various rebuilds and repairs of property within set timeframes • Stock control and deliveries • Ensure the safety of yourself and others by adhering to OHS procedures • Obtain equipment licenses and undertaking training as required • Complete daily tasks as instructed by the engineering supervisor • Suggest improvements in work procedures in order to increase efficiency within the department Experience • A minimum Engineering Cert III Mechanical Trade - level certificate. • Post trade experience 2 years+ highly desirable • Experience in breakdown maintenance and diagnostics • Ability to read hydraulic and pneumatic schematics • Welding and fabrication skills would be highly regarded • Forklift license and EWP ticket beneficial • Physical fitness to enable the climbing of ladders and stairs and be comfortable working at heights up to 60m • Ability to work autonomously without constant supervision • Experience with Maintenance systems such as SAP or Maximo would be highly regarded A bit over the top here don't you think, when even Qantas outsource. Maintenace on a ride is no different to any other piece of mechanical equipment that has to be maintained. -
I read it as he was calling the people that died, meat. But when I think about it, don't think it was intentional.

Shouldn't we be asking Intamin why their ride sucks in every department? Why the ride is always broken? Defiantly a shit ride to select in the first place as an experience but even an unenjoyable ride, should be running. -
I love how people put it on the guest to solve the parks problems.

I agree, they would know how many people use their passes. I have no gripe with prices going up, that is a part of life. The way village handle situations always comes of as a lack of courtesy towards Village guests. Village management really need to get a good public relations department that handles this stuff.

I pay for a pass for my wife who hasn't been in years, just incase she wants to go. I also know a few people who pay for the pass and never go. All village are doing is forcing these types of people to cancel their passes for good.

Where else can Village save money? You want Village to start sacking people or pull a DW and not maintain their rides? //s Tom Cruise is a dick.

You're in too deep if you are judging everything based on a uniform. The first expense any family will drop is a trip to a theme park if the budget is super tight. I'm fine with a theme park making a few changes to keep them operating or helping with the bottom line in tough times. I 100% know what the issues are and why it had to shut down. Speculating is for the ducks. Even if you want to be a duck and speculate you have been around long enough to know MW isn't shutting down Scooby without major problems.

You think the ride running at half capacity was fine?

7NEWS Report: Leviathan Safety Checks
New display name replied to TBoy's topic in Theme Park Discussion
You don't even always have to pay. Last year when I sold my home, the news did a feature on my house because my real-estate agent knows somebody who works for the news, and they are always looking for fill content. -
Except for the part they are spending millions on re-theming Scooby when they could have just fixed the problems with the ride or the part where MW could have just installed kids' coasters without theming up a whole new precinct. Village tightening their belt during a cost-of-living crisis, isn't a bad thing.
