  1. If this is real, (and I think unfourtunately it is), this is possibly the worst decision to make, they need another top quality thrill ride, and we haven't seen one of those since 2004. Dreamworld need a better ride to take the attention away from their pathetic 6th thrill ride. Having a cheap piece of garbage like this is only going to tarnish their reputation further.
  2. Is it he who shall not be named- D*C B*o*n
  3. Is there a confirmed opening date? Based on the fact this is opening in december, would they be aiming for boxing day?
  4. This system has also been used on the world's 3rd fastest (finished) coaster the Dodonpa. But it does not look like it will be tall, rather something like rita queen of speed.
  5. As I said on the first post, I think White water world has better quality of rides which incorporate the latest technology. But there just is just not enough to do. I hope this can be turned around with stage two.
  6. I would hope not! (in case you can't tell I'm being sarcastic)
  7. The water is what makes this ride unique, look at this. Without the water it's just another half pipe.
  8. Thanks for the help guys.
  9. OOhhh, I'm getting too excited thinking about this thing. While I love a good launched coaster as much as the next person, I hope the next Australian one is gravity powered.
  10. I'm liking the sound of theming on this baby. Fingers crossed the ride experience will be better than motocoaster.
  11. Your best bet with predicting movieworld's next coaster would be looking at what they're going to theme it around. The possibility of a flying coaster coming next to movieworld isn't likely, namely because they would be sure to them it around superman if they were to build one. And we're not going to have another superman themed ride for at least another ten years, due largely to the existence of superman escape. It is unlikely to be another batman ride because of the spaceshot. However the wild west area, hasn't gotten a new attraction for almost ten years, (only a about a month from 10 years), so my best bet would be some kind of attraction to the wild west area. I have gut feeling something could be happening there. sonic123488 P.S- Sorry to make two posts in a row.
  12. Here's another one, some work needs to be done to the last loop and corkscrew, but other than that is there any area that needs improving. lightjump.zip
  13. Seems that idea has gone bust. Doc brown thinks movie worlds not due for another coaster, I agree they're probably not due for one for at least 18 months, but please I'm tired of you calling everyone cowboys.
  14. I'm sorry, but last time I checked you weren't quite the nicest person on the forums. Sorry to burst your bubble.
  15. Movieworld will almost definitely cheap out, until they gain more stability on the market, and can grow to a size like Knotts. Knotts isn't the biggest theme park in america, but it's certainly something for MW to aim for.
  16. Depends on where you place it, looking from the highway you can barely see lethal weapon (but you can), if this was placed behind lethal then you would certainly not be able to see much of it.
  17. Sorry, I was referring to the live performance on main street
  18. Here's one of mine, as I said this I'm not great at this program. But I'll take constructive criticism if neccersary Steel_force.zip
  19. Sorry to breath new life into this topic, but I'm suprised no one truly elaborated on Mega-lite coasters. While I did vote for floorless, that was before I had a look at these babies- These coasters are intamin so they're guarenteed to be a smooth ride, while australia seems to be hooked on intamins at the moment, I would not be disapointed to see one of these babys go up at movieworld. They reach speeds of 90kph and are a similar height to LW. (about 32m)
  20. Suprised no one has posted anything in the international parks section about this. This piece from the magic mountain site- Take a deep breath and climb aboard Terminator®: The Coaster — a journey that begins at Six Flags Magic Mountain and transports you into a desolate future to battle alongside John Connor and his post-apocalyptic legion of Tech-Com soldiers. With five belly-flopping hills and six high speed banked turns, Terminator®: The Coaster is a state-of-the-art ride that combines the acrobatic thrills of a modern roller coaster while retaining the nostalgic look and feel of a classic "woodie." The unparalleled sights and sounds will drop and turn you straight into the confines of Skynet’s artificially intelligent network of lethal machines, in one final attempt to save human kind. Join the resistance spring 2009. Terminator®: The Coaster By The Numbers Height Restrictions min. 48" Ride Category Thrill Flash Pass No Length 2,850 feet Unique Features Loading station "fly-thru" and on-board entertainment elements Introduction Coming in spring 2009 Manufacturer Great Coasters International Inc. (GCII) What perplexes me is that they're making terminator the ride a woodie, in a series based on metal and technology.
  21. How would they expect to compete with the Village roadshow parks with this rise in cost ? In fact this has already put me off a trip to Dreamworld this summer. You can expect a rise of a couple of dollars every few years, but a jump such as this could seriously hinder attendence. Particuarly in a time when people are tending to spend less.
  22. I reckon that was because it was a live peformance.
