  1. Unfortunately private, but quite reliable. I'm the first to get hung up on people who say they heard something, but can't identify source for reliability. Take this as rumor and nothing more. Those that know me well know what my connections are to Wonderland, and will have an idea of my sources, and will probably vouch for me on this. Unfortunately I can't divulge any more than that.
  2. Doing your own thing, instead of copying what everyone else has already done is probably a good start.
  3. Yep - Universal still has the Marvel rights (i believe into perpetuity) on the east coast. I'm certain though that WDW will find a different theme to repurpose the ToT there. Right now I think Disney is trying to make the most of Marvel where it can, to put pressure on Universal to relinquish the rights. It'll require a big payout but usually Disney gets what it wants. I agree this hot mess is going to ruin the skyline of DCA and the surrounds. As for the differences between WDW and DCA, DCA goes straight up and down. WDW has horizontal movement as the car moves from the rear lift through the floor to the drop lift at the front.
  4. Latest news on the grapevine is that the funding previously announced might not be available anymore.
  5. So you're closing a page that already had followers, i assume because of lack of interest or something like that, and instead you're going to start again from scratch?
  6. this is only a matter of time though - and these are adults \ teens... how easily do you think kids are going to fall for this?
  7. Well there you go. I agree - it is cheating. If it doesn't make it to RCDB, then it doesn't count. This is why we can't have nice things. (Not directing this at you @Wyncenuros) Thankfully, the park has thumbed its nose to that risk. and rightly so. If a kid trips on a skipping rope for example, let's pick them up, dust them off, put a bandaid on it and buy them an ice cream. If a parent's next step is to call a lawyer, instead of letting Johnny run back off to play, then they shouldn't be parenting. TBH - same for a kid that trips over a gutter or a crack in the footpath. They should watch where they're going. The litigious society we've seen grow needs to be given a back seat... before the fun police ruin everything enjoyable. (thankfully I believe the fun police are busy running the NSW state government at the moment).
  8. ^My grandfather always said never show a fool an incomplete job.
  9. Can you show me one that does? I think the definitive answer to the question - why a Disk'O Coaster isn't classed as a roller coaster is because Duane said so http://rcdb.com/os.htm?ot=2&nm=na&co=6892
  10. Good point Ash. The hilarity of this hype is that many businesses are cashing in on this fad without commercial agreement with the publishers of the game. $25 per person, food available for an hour. Two hours in the park with no rides, no food, no beverage - makes for a very boring night for chaperones or anyone who can't get network service for whatever reason. if the game does crash, it will be interesting to see what Dreamworld does.
  11. Spraying is also very messy. Pretty sure this is the same method they used for Lethal's repaint a decade ago.
  12. Ride vehicle is self powered. It doesn't 'coast' - its not a roller coaster.
  13. it's not really simulating motion - you are actually moving. Simulators don't move from their base...
  14. How many Parkz Crew members are going, and how many of you got the t-shirt. I'm thinking an awesome parkz crew photo at the top of AA would look awesome!
  15. So they're going to fit the headsets before boarding, and then have to remove them again to see where they're going?
  16. More appropriately, thats how many projects Village Roadshow are doing, as 3 of those aren't within the park.
  17. I thought this when I first saw the new suit, but someone else recently posted the comic version, and the comic character has very pronounced kneecaps. I think in some way this might be seeking to emulate this, whilst also providing the actor with something suitably comfortable to kneel on whilst posing for photos with small children.
  18. It wouldn't be the first time groundwork and other prep is started before the park makes the announcement - GL was a perfect example of that.
  19. ^Absolutely. With what sounds like a limit of 8 people - for a saturday nobody is going to notice an extra 8 people with fast track
  20. You think they've been working on that for the last 10 years?
  21. i'm assuming you aren't travelling by car... how are you travelling? Knowing this would help because if its bus or train, there are sometimes luggage arrangements through both services where they can store baggage. About 12 years ago I travelled from BNE to surfers on Air Train, and they did our luggage handling - even putting us in a limo from (i think) helensvale to our hotel. more info needed to offer help - but I don't believe MW will have places suitable for storage of travelling type suitcases, unless small. You will fit several regular size backpacks into the large size lockers, but no hope of fitting travelling style suitcases.
  22. Actually i'm pretty certain Eureka went down for maintenance and never came back.
  23. for $299, i wouldn't complain if it were a standard fast track. its already awesome value.
