Just a quick question here guys.... When Wonderland got Involved with the Super Hero characters from Marvel. Did they sign a contract agreement with Marvel, or Universal?? Or is Marvel part of Universal and when a signed the contract they got the whole package deal with it?

Yeah I remember that CokeCool Fella. Some great times there..... Back to topic. Thanks for that Ride Accident link Goboi. Provided quite the interesting read. After reading that you can see that most ride accidents happen due to the rider being at own fault. Either standing up or not securing the restraints properly. But sometimes rides do malfunction. When I was at Dreamworld we were stuck semi upsidedown on WipeOut for about 20 min. It was the first ride of the day and it happened around Sep last year. Screammachine (the original one thankyou! )

Dreamworld's new attraction - December 2004
screammachine replied to kennykoala's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Thanks guys for the response on my question. It looks like a awesome ride to go on!! Looks very intense, but thats not a problem for me. -
Its very hard to say which Luna Park is the better one. If you were to ask the same queation when Big Dipper was around I'd say Luna Park Sydney.... I have been to both Melb and Syd Luna park. Its hard to say which one is better due to the fact that each park had its own unique rides to it. At Sydney we have a few thrill rides which in my opinion arnt to bad. Its hard to compare the two parks. But in all my vote goes to Sydney.

Dreamworld's new attraction - December 2004

Just a quick question guys... (and girls ) Concerning the Huss Delerium Ride. I have seen pics of this ride where its basically upside down. Now my question is.... Does this ride do a full 360' degree swing or just slope to a very steep angle??? Well thats my 2c YAy! Screammachine -
It almost sounds like a description of Wizards fury.... Its a similar ride except the cars hang in the air like the tazzi devil. Concerning Wizards Fury. I'v only been on the ride 2 times. Its a good ride but not really scary, but for the younger kids would be a great Thrill. The top speed of the ride was pretty good though. The only objection I have to the ride is being spat on by my friend some years back. He was on the front seet and I was in the very back row. But lets say I got him back on the Bush Beast 8) ....

On the same note as the Tazzi Devil. At last years eastershow I went on a ride similar to it(Not the snow ski one!). It had a space theming to it. And the speeds it travelled at was "scary" to a point. And it went backwards aswell. I'm also sure it went faster than the tazzi devil. A good proposal would be to add a tunnel to the tazzi devil. I think it would make the ride allot more interesting.

Thanks for informing us of the site Shaun..... Its a site well worth checkin out. Some of the rides on there look like they can pack a mean punch (especially on your stomach!! ). One ride that caught my attention was the Capriola ride. Just from looking at the ride made my stomach jump. Its like a huge swinging arm with a carage at the end.....But check out the height of this ride!!! Cheers Screammachine

 I have been on The Claw at the Sydney Royal Easter Show. Its AWESOME!!! I love every second of it. I went on it about 5 times. (scabbed the extra change of my mates  hehehe ) The G-Force on the ride is really intence and a great expierence. Another good thing is because the seets face inwards. You can look at the other rider having a great/spewing time! Screammachine

Thunder I could see that being a really good proposal to replace Thunderbolt. If a ride similar to V2 would be placed there not taking up to much space, leaving some space for flat rides aswell as some shops in there somewhere. Or as in Wonderlands unfortunate case, Dreamworld would be game enough to put in a nice Show Arena there for all of us to enjoy to extreme excitement . OH JOY!!!

Man killed in roller coaster accident at Disneyland
screammachine replied to Jaggie's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Thats really bad news for Disney I supose. Since they have such a good reputation comparing them to other parks. I agree there would most probably be lawsuits flying from every direction. But from what I can remember visiting Disneyland ( Paris ). From being there the whole and looking at Big Thunder Mountain the ride had a big down time at some stage. But at least I got to have my turn on the ride. -
OK this is not making any freakin sence to me at all. And i'm sure allot of people would agree with me on this one. Why on earth would the park tell one person something about whats happening, but to another a complete different story on whats happening. Why would it tell one person their getting new slides and the other their not????? Any sence to that?
-
Hey all!! Well frankly I think that if the park has told the amount of people that it has it would be a true statement that the park is getting a new slides. Thanks for the information guys. And all we have to do now is wait and see what the new slides will be in the future. Thanks Screammachine

Hello ALL Firstly, Johno thanks for that exciting piece of news you gave us. Nightshifter I wouldnt jump to conslusions that quickly. I mean he technicaly "heard it from the horses mouth". But we just have to wait till the end of the month. But it does make allot of sence in getting new slides considering what they are doing to the tower. Cheers

Has anyone been to the park lately? Is there any more news on the Super Hero Headquaters thats opening next month? Thanks Screammachine

I can't believe that TBB is still down! I thought that it would have been operating by now. Maybe they are "fixing" up the ride a bit. We wont be able to see till it opens again. Here's to hoping......

Thoughts on new ride for WS
screammachine replied to FormerWonderEmp's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Well I could honestly say that I wouldnt mind it if Thunderbolt came to Wonderland. Its a new ride! I think that if Wonderland was to get Thunderbolt they would surely add or improve something from the ride. Example when Dreamworld got The Cyclone ( known as Big Dipper from Luna Park.) They changed the painting structure and the car color (there is probably more changes I dont know of so just correct me if I'm wrong ). screammachine -

Agreed on the Floorless. Ahhh I could only imagen!   -
I know exactly what you mean with the square metal boxes. I'v banged my knees on those aswell. Unlucky for me I was wearing shorts and to my surpise it bled a fair bit. But there hasnt been once where I have not been on the ride and some how manage to hurt myself.

Yeah at the Eastershow I went on one of the many Ghost trains they have there. Why? I dont know. But I ended up getting grabbed in the neck by some random guy in the ghost house. That scared the crap out of me. But as far as the special effect go.....Pretty Crap. How funny is that monkey thing climbing up and down the rope outside one of the Ghost Train Rides???

Those Beastie photo's brings back some pretty good memories. The Beastie was the first ever ride i'v been on at Wonderland. The cars on the Beastie are really compact when it comes to leg room though because when I went on it last time the train was just starting to go up the lift hill and my leg went into spasm! It hurt so much!! I was annoyed the whole day, because I couldnt walk properly. But sadly it was my last ever ride on the Beastie.

I remember that ride. I really liked that one. The que could get horibly long for it though as it is a one person ride. Especially in the summer, with the sun eating away on your back. The good thing about the ride was the slow build up of speed towards the end and the impact you have in hitting the water. I found the impact allot of fun. You would smack into the water trying not to flip over, but the whole little dingy thing flips you upside down. Allot of fun

Well I'v been fairly unlucky when it comes to being stuck on a rides. At Wonderland me and my mate were on BB busy goin up, and it stalled for about 5 min. Dont know why! Then on Demon, there was a delay cause my restrain didnt' wanna let go, so I got another turn! Hooray for that. But Dreamworld is another story. Ok in one day I was stuck twice upside down on Wipeout. NOT happy JAN! ( those overheads, really kill!!! ) And for about 30min with Cyclone up the lift hill. The log ride got halfway up the Hill, and the belt stopped working. And with TOT, we were launched and came back to the station, but to everyones surprise we just took off again traveling halfway on the horizontal track, and just stopping. After a short period the car went backwards back into the station again. Note this all happened within the first two hours of the park operating that day. This happened around September last year. Sorry if the Dreamworld thing is a bit off topic.

Digging!!! Now everyone get excited!

I think that it would make sence for a entrance at the Waterpark if Wonderland was to increase the waterpark to a fairly bigger size. With an entrance at the Waterpark they could charge an additional fee to enter, or even just for geusts who want to visit the park on a hot summers day and not the themepark. But i would think it only worth it if they increase the water park and put in more water rides or a wavepool.
