  1. Westical thats what i thought, reanimated35 care to explain what your pass was like.
  2. Bmull19 just a quick question, how does any of what you just said fit in with this thread? Or am i just reading it all wrong.
  3. What do you mean by that, Because i told my family to purchase them in which they did a few weeks ago and went that next day and i looked at there passes. There a actual card (Plastic card) like staff cards and Annual pass holder cards.
  4. So from what iv heard down the grape vine is that TOT II will be open by or before 10th of September. Despite the fact the maintenance page says it is closed till the 15th.
  5. jakeman398. To answer you question at Movie World each day a time table is created for the shows and entertainment staff so we know who is doing what and at what time. Shows, appearances, parades ect. This time table is then also sent to guest services in which you would be surprised as to how many people each day enquire about character appearances.
  6. Well to answer your Questions ash, At this current time there is no need for a day time parade not to mention today would have been a huge crowd control head ache if a day parade was showing. Huge numbers at the park today. The Extra (one) show starts at about 2:50 at end of main street with the best dressed comp and the new live action show ties in straight as that finishes. You can see all the different DC comic heros and villains throughout the day and often, I think on average today, there was about 8 in total out. Plus your usual characters. All stores are still open till guests are gone, and come 5:40 as i was leaving the park there were still runs of superman and batwing going. I ended up spending the whole day at the park today, HUGE crowd numbers it was crazy, But also good to see that it was so active and most things were in full swing. All shops open by midday (Retail, F/B and mobiles Plus more) Really great attitude by staff also trying there best to keep operations as smooth as possible. But like AlexB said hugeeeeee wait times on all attrations, Shrek 4d Was running Pre show and Main show at same time 20min intervals all day. Hollywood stunt driver started at 2 shows but as discussed early this morning we all knew a 3rd show was in need, a fourth was on the cards come lunch time but didn't happen. But to think 3 weeks ago i was getting real disappointed in village with all the bad news but after the past 2 weeks i have been very pleased. Not to mention this new parade and how well things are doing is really creating a very positive attitude through out the parks management team. I see really good things to come. Looking forward to whats in stall for halloween as its the next event on the drawing board, Followed by the 20th anniversary next years. Whats new? Whats next!
  7. Well i would have loved to have seen it tonight would have been great. Except i spent the whole time of the show on the phone to my supervisor. As he watched the opening, He walked me through it all. Now that the first show has been i can say what i know i'v been busting all week to say cause im very excited. This is the first time in a LONG time that any real big effort and funding has been put into the parks parade and about time. There are BRAND SPANKING new floats that look absolutely incredible, my favourite being the jokers. Mind blowing lighting, Music is great. Position wise i have been told if your sitting based around the ice cream parlour you will be in the middle of it all. Mickey D the park was packed so they must have done something right. Overall from what iv heard and seen so far impressive stuff and i think i seen Djrappa post this on another site, that its not very often these days you can say that about our parks very impressive. But in saying that well done to all those involved in the project the time hours spent, and the hard work, but it goes to show if the parks put in the money to do these sort of things the effort needed will be put in, and will exceed. Putting money back into the business, instead of cutting here there and everywhere. I have to work all morning tomorrow but will be sure to check it out in the evening im very excited and its been a while since iv been excited for anything that has happened at our parks as of late. Id say check it out well worth it and im sure Djrappa would agree with me and all those who have seen the show these evening.
  8. God there good at what they do!!! As far as i had been told nothing was to be said until a official launch was made. "The new AquaLoop is expected to open mid-September; just in time for the September / October school holidays! So, be sure to purchase your VIP Pass now so that you can enjoy the new AquaLoop and all the other exciting new attractions opening soon at Wet’n’Wild Water World - still the Biggest’n’Best!" Interesting to see how much more competitive the Village pass will be compared to Dreamworlds.
  9. Im very excited about this the team has been working very hard on the celebration. Plus we get to say hello to some of the old costumes that used to feature in the park. Brings back fond memories having seen them, reminds me of the good old days on main street and the plaza before it got killed by the roof.
  10. I seen Illuminate this evening and now that i have had time to think about it i also was rather disappointed. The show lacked any real excitement and was kinda half ass. The spongebob show was dreadful boring and had no point to it. The sections with squid ward projected onto the corner of the emporium Wouldn't have even been seen by half the audience. I wouldn't have called it a light show (in full) because there was to much other stuff going on, Dance warm ups, beach ball tossing ( if i wanted to do that i would go watch the cricket at the gabba) Im sorry but for the amount of money spent it was a complete waste. A whole hour and 15mins of nothing but 2 rides open one being a kids ride again im sorry very very boring time spent waiting. At least keep the attractions open till 6 leaving 15mins to get to the show. Audio volume was up and down. No consistency at all. Water screen was very small and the picture was not clear at all my backyard hose would have done a better job. Poorly organised, Waste of money, A complete "Flop" And they offered to show the finally again. No point Dreamworld everyone is making there way out the gate. Tough critic yes, but after seeing the commercial and the well presented logo it creates a lot of hype over nothing. Just to finish up Illuminate to me and the way the logo is presented gave me a feel of something magical, with heart felt music something you were hear in a disney fireworks show except we get some up beat on the verge of tech-no if they were to take it any further, were parents and kids were blocking there ears because the base was to high.
  11. Actually themeparkgc and cerberus584 your both incorrect the camera was relocated sometime ago. Its now were Randy said attached to the tall building (theming) that is attached to the loading and show building. its just before the barrel roll section towards the end of the ride. Reason why you can still see it on google maps is because the holding box's were the cameras used to be are still there but are empty.
  12. Ill wait for Dj to comment here before i say anything though i heard rumours earlier this morning. Nothing to exciting though.

  16. This is what dreamworld has to say about The Mine Ride: The closure of these attractions basically came down to new ride technology, upgraded safety regulations and responding to what the public wanted. Like the old Thunderbolt Rollercoaster, the mine ride served us well for 25 years and was “retired...” to make way for newer computerised attractions like The Claw, The Motorcoaster and AVPX. In Summary - rides have a life span - like a car - it comes to a time when you need to spend a lot of $$ to fix it up so when it is no longer a very popular attraction sometimes it is better to invest in something newer...... deff different
  17. I was wondering how long until someone caught onto this or heard something, All im going to say is, Isn't it funny how Sea World and Wet'n'wild have said there getting new attractions this year (Sea Worlds being unannounced) And the fact Movie World is well due for a major new attraction and the fact that all they have mention this year is a white Christmas and a box of fairy lights to cover the park, What arn't you telling us WVTP???
  18. I would have to agree that the S&E department and Parades is no were near as good as it once was i remember back in the day when scooby doo came out and they had the ghost flying over main street with Daphne those parade for 2004/2005 back were deff the best. As for the riddles scene was part of the old studio tour back in the day when the trams were operational.
  19. You beat me to it alex i was going to make a very similar joke but had a feeling someone would do the honours well done As for the survey you have hit the nail on the head. The point of it i find stupid as the park is going to have a pretty good idea of which one of the attractions they are after. Plus how the themeing, marketing ect can be tied into the park. As for the target audience the surveyors are only targeting "families" and the attractions are all based at ages i would say 8-17. Though all are very wise choices by the company. One of the 2 in which i didn't mention is a copy of a attraction in a park in the California region. I havnt had a chance to try it out but will do so this year on my annual USA trip in mid july.
  20. I went for 3 months as i had a major illness in my family which ment i had to move back to lismore for the duration of time yet im back in action, that was also one reason why i havnt posted over the past few months if anyone didnt realise.
  21. No im not aloud to take the survey. As a employee of the company.
  22. Mickey D your on the mark yet again as of Dec 20th Sea World has several employees who freely roam the park doing surveys with family groups. They will ask a series of questions based on the park in general then will bring out 4 cards from there bag. Which are 4 picked attractions in concept design for the park on the card and they are asking which one of these 4 attractions would you like to see in the park in the very near future, you must rate them 1-4, 1 being best. I can say what 2 of the attractions are, one being a twist 'n' splash unit, very well themed may i add and the other i will say is a large flying fox attraction. As for now thats all i can say but it shall get the speculation rolling.
  23. Anyways back on topic. The temp studio tour showcasing all the stuff from Narnia begins of today. A shuttle bus will pick you up at the studio entrance by superman escape/lethal weapon show building. The tour will be only operational for a short time and this will be a short term trial to see how popular it actually is as to wether a permanent studio tour will arrive as of late next year. Those who really want a new permanent studio tour try this one out and send all your feedback through to guest services via email. All feedback will be much appreciated.
  24. As much as many of us would love this to be the case i really doubt it is. The studio tour at the park was a major in its time and im sure if this were the case rumours would have surfaced by now inside the park for sure. Also the job description is after shuttle bus drivers not Motorised trams as listed many times before for staff at paradise country. Thats just how see it, If we were to ever get the Studio Tour in the park i think it would be the start of a up look for the parks beginning purpose to maybe be restored.
