  1. I got a chance to see stunt driver yesterday for the first time. While the storyline wasn't exactly riveting, the stunts and driving skill on display were all very impressive. The cars looked and sounded fantastic and the sets were great! The final stunt is undoubtedly the highlight of the show, and definitely got a big response from the crowd. The areas they could improve on: - Storyline (is pretty solid but needs more humour, and needs to be more quirky) - Characters (about the only character i really cared about or felt like i got to know at all was the goofy extra guy who kept doing things he shouldn't... this needs work, most of the characters were pretty uninteresting) - Pre-show (camera looking at the crowd is awesome, but having a character out talking to the crowd and keeping them amused would really help get people in the right mood for the show!)
  2. It's now up on myfun.com.au and the theme park sites!
  3. Yeh, it's still not on their sites... i'll give them a call... I just called, it is real. They are selling them now via phone, but apparently the web site may not be updated for some time. He said that already they've sold HEAPS of these passes. Hope the parks don't get too crowded. I just bought one.
  4. No sign of it yet, let's hope they add it today.
  5. I see, and when did you go Don? I'm considering the 2 day 3 night package which will be 400 Euros ($800 Australian). Not cheap by any means, you have to add food on top of that. I'm not sure if it's worth it to be honest, i've already been to Disney in Anaheim and my fiance (we will be on our honeymoon) has been to the Disney parks in Florida AND Anaheim.
  6. hey Mattcrombie i'm curious how you found out about this deal?
  7. This new offer launching tomorrow will probably be of interest: http://www.parkz.com.au/forums/index.php?showtopic=4602 70 bucks for unlimited entry to MW, WnW and SW til middle of the year.
  8. Great value, i will get one for sure, even though i already have a movieworld annual pass. I want to try the jet ski coaster and Kamikaze.
  9. Hi all, I am visiting Disneyland Paris for 2 nights and 3 days (2 park pass) mid-October this year and was wondering if anyone here has been there and could offer some tips, or advice. I'm not sure what to expect in terms of visitor numbers... will it be fairly quiet this time of year? I'm looking at booking a 'package' deal including accomodation and tickets on the Disneyland Paris web site. Cost is around $780 for two people for two nights three days.
  10. I agree with most of what you are saying Gazza, the parks are doing a pretty poor job of promoting themselves these days. Sure they spend the money but it is poorly executed for the most part, in terms of promoting new attractions well in advance. Official blogs and online social media can be a powerful tool, yet none of the parks seem to utilise them and instead rely on traditional advertising media.
  11. I went last saturday in the pouring rain and it was great fun! Especially lethal weapon, which was running on that day also. Since everyone seemed scared to get wet, there was no line up at all, i got straight on. I rode the kids coaster five times in a row without even getting off, and on the last few runs i was the only one on it. Scooby Doo was the opposite, since it's indoors it seemed EVERYONE in the entire park was lining up for it, so i avoided it on this occasion (although i did do it once when i first arrived at the park and there was only a 10 minute wait). Another downside was that stunt driver was cancelled for the 11:00 show and i left by 12 so i missed it. Going down again this saturday with a couple friends of mine, will be interesting to see how busy it is and to check out stunt driver for the first time!
  12. Really? Wow.. we didn't even get time to ride every slide once. If wait times were any longer it wouldn't have been worth going in my opinion. They had serious issues with the lockers throughout the night also. Everyone got let in around 6:30pm, but they couldn't get the lockers to 'reset' until about 45 minutes later. Then when we finally got a locker, ride a few slides and went back to get our wallets to buy some food the lockers weren't opening for anyone. Yet again they were on the phone to someone to try to sort it out... another 20 minute wait and we were able to open our locker. Still had a fun night though... but i felt they should know how to reset the lockers by now, they've been doing these night time events for a while.
  13. Here they are, taken around new year's day 2009:
  14. I went also. It was quite busy, probably worse than the first time i went a few months ago. Wait time for most rides was around 20 mins or so. Still had a fun night!
  15. A have a bunch of construction photos from my trip to singapore two weeks ago... i'll upload them on the weekend for you guys.
  16. I voted Movieworld of course. Easily the best rides and overall experience in my opinion. However, i'd place Wet n Wild second, and then Seaworld, and then Whitewater World, then Dreamworld.
  17. Another night whitewater world this friday, wonder if it will be packed out due to the holidays..
  18. So what's the verdict on kamikaze? Haven't seen any reviews yet.
  19. Looks good, can't wait to try it out, hopefully the lines aren't too big!
  20. Looking fwd to hearing all about the show this morning... i was unable to attend unfortunately due to work!
