  2. Re the photos - Did you remember to hit "attach this file" after choosing it? As for the topic- it's normal for trip reports to pop up as a topic. I would suggest making the ride titles bold though so it's easier to read Can't say I've been or have any intention of going, but it does sound like from the reports I've seen that they've done a reasonable good job with the park.
  3. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRGd0gD0QNE Nope, wouldn't criticise them for being too efficient, would somewhat criticise some parks for having a somewhat free-for-all in the station (SFMM comes to mind) - here we have orderly lines to the gates, they have a big open station which sorts itself out so I guess it's not too bad, just different. Nice Alex makes very long posts. Nice Alex also illustrates very good points. Pissed off Alex is more fun though
  4. How many ops did they have then to now? Assuming a 2 train operation then, would we have had 1 grouper, 2 loaders and 1 supervisor? Or was it 1 grouper, 2 loaders, 2 supervisors (one in each booth)? Or something completely different? Now it's 1 loader who also does the loading, 1 extra loader and 1 supervisor isn't it? And how popular is AA these days? I haven't been to the park in quite a while. (Heading there tonight for FN though) - what's the average wait for AA now?
  5. And me not riding it is relevant because.....? That wasn't ever in question. What was in question was your comment on how by watching the POV you could tell how comfy a ride was. Then you've admitted you're just going by other peoples reactions in youtube comments. Not entirely sure what you're meaning with a ride ops union? The only thing I remember from GL is in the last brake run, sometimes it's an abrupt stop. Nothing that hurts. No coaster is perfectly smooth anyway. Sure some will be smoother than others, but you're always going to be bumped around a bit. Anyone who thinks otherwise should probably stay within their bubble wrapped house.
  6. Do you know if there was a specific reason for that? Wasn't the ride still pretty popular then?
  7. I thought we were still taking the piss out of the other guy?
  8. In a perfect world, it's not. But spend a day at a park on the coast and you'll see what we mean.
  9. But how long can that entertainment value last? Surely it could only be a few minutes. Again?
  10. And there you go. "You can actually tell" .... no, what you mean to say is "you can blindly follow what people say in youtube comments"
  11. You can just tell ok. Just let him have this one. It's best not to trouble the institutionalised.
  12. Please tell me more about how you can judge comfort of something by watching a video of it.
  13. Well I could either move to Sydney or Tassie if I wanted to stay in the same role. On the plus side, I applied for a job around 3:30pm yesterday and got a call back for the first stages of interviews at 9:30 this morning. Interview is next week.
  14. I think we'd all be happy if we could get 3 minute cycles on Cyclone...
  15. And I'd personally prefer my legs and junk region to be left alone and have sore ears for 2 or 3 minutes. After all, it's just cartilage that's getting bumped around.
  16. That's because you're expecting everything to be on par with large American parks. Everyone else here is smart enough to realise that isn't the case here and never will be.
  17. http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/digital-life/games/movie-world-halloween-maze-blurs-the-line-between-games-and-reality-20141001-10om7y.html Work at the park for 18 years Yeah could you ask them if they can take some photos and upload them directly to Parkz instead of 3rd party sites?
  18. As far as coasters go, that's probably the fastest to load and dispatch (apart from Scooby) on the coast.
  19. Tell me about it. I just clocked up 4 years at work only to be told we're closing down and our jobs are redundant unless we want to move interstate.
  20. That's what I thought. Wasn't car 1 scrapped for parts?
