  1. It's not really based specifically on them though. You could argue you've still got Joker without a ride then as AA isn't specifically based on him, it's based on the asylum.
  2. So yes, this is probably a bunch of photos all seen already, but eh, have some full res shots. Most of these are 5760x3840 if you open them full size. Here is the (at the time) latest piece of the puzzle. Part #18 I imagine we're going to see a substantial amount of photos of the coaster train travelling along this section of track. Some more twisty goodness (please excuse the shadow of the fence). Another shot of the connection points for the track segments And while I still prefer the look of a B&M style track, there's no denying this is one sleek looking coaster. Just look at that incomplete section there and the angle and twist it's going to take to throw you back the other way. And finally, you'll have to excuse the editing on this one. It's a GoPro shot that I was attempting to fix the fisheye distortion on as I didn't have my wide lens with me. Just gives a bit of an indication of the whole thing as it stands currently.
  3. Physics and video editing for dramatic effect.
  4. Ah yep, that makes sense, thanks. At the moment it just looks like those traffic lights that are designed to snap at the bolts when they get hit. (Or so I've been told that's what they're designed for.)
  5. Ok, so this is a deliberately terribly over exposed photo to make the supports clearer. Can someone in construction explain why the supports don't connect to the concrete? I know there's a valid reason, it just looks odd.
  6. Yes, but the post I was referring to was implying that was the interest from the general public which enthusiasts are, but in this case it wasn't a random occurrence.
  7. That crowd of people is a group of enthusiasts there specifically to look at the construction progress.
  8. Quick! Someone start a thread claiming it's never going to open again!
  9. Yeah, I mean having a ride themed with a known celebrity worked with an Australian sports star, right Dreamworld?
  10. Is this really all because we've come to demand too much from our parks though? I mean we're paying bugger all for annual passes as it is, and on top of these stupidly cheap prices we then want in park discounts and yet still want to "enable the parks to be profitable as well as to invest in good levels of maintenance, staffing, new attractions etc." Do you want cheap food or cheap passes? You really shouldn't be expecting both. I'm all for upping the pass price and dropping the food price.
  11. So were you behind the stupid track photo too or just thought you were funny?
  12. I'd guess more likely they're removing some or all of it to clear up the image of that area and make room for the memorial and replacement. Probably a good time for it if they're removing the rapids anyway.
  13. It's 2017, aren't we supposed to be passed assigning gender to things based off colour?
  14. FWIW the times I've visited DW after the incident none of the staff seemed as overly friendly as what everyone else has been describing. (That is to say they've been customer service friendly but it hasn't felt like it was above and beyond). I've been to MW and PC more recently and remember them being as friendly as you'd expect anyone who works in customer service to be. Didn't bother me in the slightest though. Not saying this is bad for either/any park, I've worked in customer facing roles for 12+ years, and I know it's not possible to be friendly 100% of the time without some serious drugs.
  15. Wait. THAT'S your definition of "rude"??!! Oh princess, who hurt you?
  16. You thought someone who makes posts like that and piggybacks off a similar name to two other sites/pages was really going to be a credible source of information?
  17. Sounds more like some people here would be expecting them to drop.
