I think at some point in one of the other thousand threads on this someone with connections at the park said the current crop of staff don't even know the reason for the closure either.

My understanding of it (and I honestly can't remember where I heard this) was that the lift chain (or something to do with the lift hill system) was needing parts that could no longer be sourced and that replacing them was too greater cost than what the park was willing to accept at the time. I have no idea if that's true or not, but it seems feasible.

Slight little update in less than a year. Way too many games to list, but: PC (primary gaming done here) Laptop - bought a new high end gaming laptop Wii (softmodded to play any game I download buy) Wii U Xbox360 PS4 Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 2014 Edition (casual gaming) Samsung Galaxy S5 phone (casual gaming) Nintendo 3DS (because I forgot to mention it before)

It should bother the park that it looks overgrown and unkempt. Not to mention it should bother them that there's rubbish floating in the water. No one ever said it was more important that a toilet. I would say that basic cleaning so the river doesn't look like a dump would be more important than a new paint job for anything though.

Try sharing the pics on DW's facebook page and maybe they'll do something about it
