  1. Kind of non news until mid next year, but this seems pretty cool none the less. http://bmag.com.au/your-brisbane/brisbane-extra/2016/12/06/brisbane-is-getting-the-southern-hemispheres-first-flying-theatre/ Brogent Technologies, a Taiwan-headquartered company that specialises in simulation technology, has announced its intention to bring its innovative i-Ride Flying Theatre to Brisbane. Brogent’s decision to bring its flying theatre to Brisbane follows their success with Fly Over Canada, which has become a popular tourist attraction in Vancouver. Brogent is in the process of identifying the ideal Brisbane location for its i-Ride Flying Theatre. Work on the project is expected to start in mid-2017. -------+ For reference: https://www.flyovercanada.com
  2. You'll find them here Damn it @Richard you're killing me with this neg vote cap...
  3. Does it really matter in the end? Yes, sure it could/should be worded better, but at the end of the day, instead of debating the semantics of the announcement, shouldn't a bunch of theme park enthusiasts just be happy the park is finally open again and make the effort to visit on opening weekend to show their support for all the workers, animals and the park overall?
  4. You really think after removing the helicopters, they're really going to bring out joy flights in these things?
  5. No you're not. I'm the resident asshole, you'll get used to it.
  6. 2011 - Green Lantern 2012 - JL3D 2012 - Constrictor 2013 - Storm 2014 - Junior Driving School 2014 - WnW Junior 2016 - Doomsday Destroyer 2017 - Coaster You're right, pull your damn finger out Village, it's time to spend some money....
  7. I guess it depends on your definition of thrilling.
  8. Buying 15-30 new fibreglass logs/boats would be extremely expensive on what's already a very old ride. Is it worth the potentially multi-million dollar upkeep? Or would SW be better of scrapping it and spending the money on some new attractions?
  9. Village has already shown a completely different path to Ardent with it comes to capex spending. It hardly seems like anything to worry about.
  10. I'm not really sure what we're supposed to post in reply to this, so, um...... yes it's a decent time?
  11. One that frequently derails at every corner?
  12. Supposedly they'll be announcing the reopening very soon. I'd hazard a guess at the park being open again either the third or the tenth.
  13. Given where they're working, I'd guess maybe a new queue since the current exit area is more themed than the entry.
  14. The more I look at it, the more I think I wish to change my previous statement for this ride to "goodbye, you will be missed....kind of".
  15. Are they only sold at the gates or something? The WWW website takes me here to buy tickets.
  16. Do you think we could be seeing a reverse of the Sea World gate situation soon with the gate between WWW and DW being removed and the park becoming one? The entry ticket gets you into both parks already, why not remove the fence and just have it as one giant park?
  17. Probably just doing it while DD is closed to give some reason to go to the area.
  18. Sorry, looks like you're the only disgusting one here.
  19. My friends killed my other friend in a dream recently, so I can't see this working out for everyone.
  20. Should have done it as "Celebrating over 35 years" Even 35 years and 1 day is "over 35 years"
  21. Well there you go, you learn something new every day. Always considered minigolf grass to be a form of astro turf. Didn't know about the stuff on boats being considered carpet.

  23. Assuming you mean the yellow thing. I believe it's a mesh kind of barrier filter to stop certain things from entering the waterways.
