I know it was a joke. I hope. Unless we want a roller coaster going through an enclosure with some wild animals. That will get the media's attention! -

@reanimated35 they are talking about MW's new roller coaster. Which if I remember correctly is what this thread was made for. -

They always make core samples of concrete when they pour something. Sometimes they crush them under pressure to make sure the concrete is strong enough for the force it needs to withstand. I know they do this on large buildings not sure about roller coasters but they keep core samples so they can use them if there is ever an investigation and they can make sure it meets the standards. -

I have ridden BSG and its launched lift hill is awesome. You start of slow and it builds speed very quickly. Something like a larger version of BSG would be good for MW. -

Yup. Its is defiantly un recognisable from 2009. Cant wait for MI3. AW was closed down early today due to serve weather warnings today in Perth. -

I wonder if it has anything to do with why the CEO of DW was at AW a few days ago. Maybe they are getting a Eurofighter as an Eureka replacement. -

Regarding all the talk about MW marketing this. In Perth I have seen at least 4 adds this week on TV for Dreamworlds new Tiger Island. Nothing for MW. I think MW missed the mark with their advertising. Look how much AW has done for Kraken and Abyss by doing big revels on TV reports and they marketed the hell out of it. MW never mentioned it until it was opening no mention while it was under construction to build hype with the GP. This is something they need to work on with the new "World best" coaster and how they market the park for the CWG in 2018. Considering this area is so good I am surprised they haven't advertised saying "the best themed area in Australia" or made up some fancy line. -
Just thought I would upload a few photos from the IGA Perth Royal Show 2016. These were taken on an iPhone at night but I think they look pretty good. I will try and get better photos tomorrow during my lunch break (if the crowds are not to busy so I can have one) If not I will be working there all week so I can try later. XXXL all shining in her glory. Cliff Hanger giving riders a fun time. Speed 2 and the Zipper ready to make for some fun times/spewing. From the side of sideshow alley. The refurbished Gee Whiz. The Super Bowl.

I was watching this documentary about Arrow's history. It is a long but great documentary and shows just how much Arrow contributed to theme parks today. (tubular steel tracks, disney attractions, looping upside and more) It also mentions how much work the arrow workers did to bring RMC into the market.

In no way trying to hate on JAP but I do find it strange to build 2 tornados unless they only changed their minds because it cost them 5 million to build the perfect storm.

Goliath - Adventure World’s new Intamin Gyro Swing

Mark confirmed they had to chase Huss for shock absorbers all last season and the ones they received did not work resulting in the ride not being ready until the season finished. Free Fall was a travelling ride from Germany. Hence you can actual see the trailer under neath it if you look closely. But at least if they ever decide to move it to somewhere else in the park they can without much trouble. Also I wonder when the park map will be updated on the website as it still includes BR. -

I think that would suit another waterside pro-slides next to the Kraken. But I still think MI3 is a flat ride and a flat ride most likely won't suit a hill that steep. -

Family would want to see a family ride. However with Gatekeeper, Fury and also Valravn these were done as a way to incorporate building a new pair entrance into the ride to say they are the king of roller coasters. There is a great documentary on youtube called Dreams to Scream which go talk about building both Fury325 and Gatekeeper regarding the whole design, construction and idea process. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4p3uwUpZlo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z155vq38Vcg -
From your great news comes bad news in the Perth Royal Show. A large amount of rides were missing this year with one new attraction and some smaller rides replacing missing attractions. There were gaps between every rides with just construction fence separating them. It was a sad year as last year attendance was down by 50,000 from the original 400,000 people. As I was working their my boss had to pay $8,000 to rent a pavilion and the price is going up every year and that is why at least 60 tenants did not return this year and a why the East coast rides did not head over. So we had the Extreme Thriller and Lukes electric speedway come over as new rides and the Zipper and Super Sizzler return this year. However we lost the Space Roller, Mega Drop, Thunder Bolt, Python Loop, Avenger and Ranger. So that was disappointing however the fireworks were great and they did not disappoint as always. Cradile do an amazing job and their work is just beautiful. I did find out from some mates that the Python Loop and Bumper Cars took on 40,000 riders each at last years show. Thats an impressive amount from one week a year.

Well every year they do theming so it could be MT3. MT1 being dragons kingdom and MT2 being rampage and black widow. -

Today would not have been a great start for AW. The weather was horrible. Hopefully a good summer coming ahead in terms of weather. Just one thing @Mark Shaw are you able to say what the attendants figures are for AW for last season or is this confidential information? -

@AlexB Regarding me proof reading my post i make sure I proof read my post multiple times before I post. However I have dyslexia and can't recognise these mistakes. So if I make some I am sorry for that and I don't mind if anyone corrects me. Regarding what you said about theming at a water park I do completely agree. However as AW originally was just of the shelf rides and limited theming instead was about it landscaping and lawn areas for family to have picnics. But now with the theming it has made the park a much much better environment and atmosphere. But I completely agree with what you have said. -
