  1. I don't want 'splash out' to go. I hope this isn't true. Splash out is the only single person body slides in jamberoo, (excluding surf hill and slides from the child's area) I honestly think they should add a few more single body slides
  2. The expansion is happening every 2 years untill the expansion is complete. There will be another 2 rides being made this year. After this year the next stage of the expansion is going to be in 2016.
  3. It will start April when jamberoo closes for winter.
  4. I live in wollongong and I go to jamberoo often. I'm glad to see they are putting a spider into the funnel, wish they put it in for the opening of the ride though. Can't wait for the rest of the expansion. I love jamberoo so much.
  5. These look like posters. What exactly are they?
  6. Oh ok. Sorry. I mustn't of looked properly.
  7. Yeh I get that. But DW s prices were for 21 days. Compared to a year. The prices are close 109-99. A $10 difference. But yeh I understand they are there for the tourists. Like, I'd rather buy one of those passes than buy a single admission ticket for $80
  8. I was looking at the VIP pass for MW,SW, and WnW and found them to be $109.99 which I presume them to be an annual pass. But I looked at DW and found their 21 day pass to DW, and WWW to be $99.99 which I find to be a bit unfair. $99 for 21 days compared to $109 for a year.
  9. Yeh the Vekoma giant inverted boomerang looks amazing. I've always wanted to ride Deja'vu. Plus Australia needs a Boomerang coaster. I think it would suit the park nicely.
  10. Don't rides have boxes or shelves to put valuables in while riding the ride? I know TOT has shelves near the exit to put bags in to collect after the ride has finnished. What ever happened to that, do the parks want extra money?
  11. What rides/coasters do u think dreamworld should bring to their park to 'improve' it? I think a Vekoma Boomerang, Vekoma suspended boomerang, or a Vekoma Giant suspended Boomerang. What's your thoughts on this?
  12. I loved reef diver. One of my favourites. This ride is special to me because I rode it at a very young age (7-8) and it was my very first inversion flat ride. I hate to see it go
  13. Seriously!! A petition to close seaworld. WTF is wrong with people today. Freaking hippies!! Seaworld is not just a theme park, it is a marine hospital too. Looking after aquatic animals. You don't see people complaining about Australia Zoo or Taronga Zoo, they have animal shows, and they also take in sick and injured animals. Seaworld is no different. If the dolphins don't want to jump they won't jump, they won't force them, they won't hurt them if they disobey their trainers, they only do shows around the animals natural behaviors, dolphins jump, fish swim. I don't see a problem. Just imagine if they shut down seaworld, all the injured sealife they bring into seaworld, they won't survive. All those f*****g hippies and animal protection people out there, SHUTTING DOWN SEAWORLD WILL DO MORE DAMAGE TO THE AQUATIC ECOSYSTEM IN QUEENSLAND THAN 'aparently' (to the hippies) KEEPING IT OPEN. think things through before making a petition.
  14. Well I was about 9 or 10. Last time I went to dreamworld. (I'm 16 now). I was told by my mum "if you two go back on that ride again (runaway Reptar) you have to go on that!" And she pointed to TOT. So well... Me and my sister when on RR again and then lined up on TOT. (This was before TOT2). I was so scared. Especially hearing the noise of the car rumbling rumbling down the tracks, and your standing behind a large door which you can't see through or over, then it opens and you see an empty car. The spikes on the front of the car looked intimidating. But after the ride I wanted to go again. It was so fun. I loved it. I'd recommend riding it. You will love it! I haven't tried the new version of TOT yet but I honestly don't see too much of a difference except for the car facing the opposite direction. Is there a difference? I will be going back to the GC soon, just as soon as by little brother gets older to enjoy some rides. He is 1. So give it about 2-3 years. And hopefully there will be some new rides to enjoy. Next ride is the giant drop.
  15. I think re paint it to silver and call it the UFO it is would be a perfect replacement for the Flying Saucer that is leaving Luna Park Sydney
  16. Vaero. In other words, Dreamworld has used 'turbines' as a theming for more than one ride. So people in this forum are expecting 'turbines' as a theming for more rides in the future. And WELCOME aboard!!!!
  17. Are they fixing the wipeout? Are they replacing it? Or are they moving it? If they're moving it what will they put in its place?
  18. Back seat of Wild West Falls. You get soaked on your back when you go through the mine backwards at the start of the ride. And you also get the spray at the final splashdown. Fun ride. Loved it.
  19. Hope you have fun on that day Monkeypie, but just to warn you there will be LOADS of people taking advantage of this offer. I know, companies like Hungry Jacks, Woolworths, Big W and many other SDA union members would be going, and also the general public too. I hope you get all the rides down but expect lots of people to be there.
  20. I remember riding when I was I think 6 I'm not sure. I couldn't remember much but the flames shooting out of the volcano was awesome. I don't think the end drop was intencely large but as all kids it scared me. I also remember watching my mum and aunty ride the Corkscrew (back when it was called that, and when the track was painted white and the train red). So it was a while ago.
