  1. I second this. Here's your chance to come back better than ever before Dreamworld. A dark ride would be great too - provided Dreamworld execute it correctly. I'd expect something on the level of JL at the very minimum.
  2. I would think they'd have to announce the coaster before any track arrives. Would be silly not to because by then some crazed theme park enthusiast would probably try to piece the track together themselves and work out the layout and recreate it in NoLimits (ok that's probably going a little too far - but once the track arrives we'd be able to make a pretty solid guess on the theming and some of the elements).
  3. People have asked when there will be an announcement and the answers are usually pretty generic
  4. Nope because Mack already confirmed it'll be similar to Flash. Unless you count that as innovative.
  5. Mack and the old Intamin track type are very similar, quite hard to distinguish between the two. @Smeg your track was very obvious Premier-style track, not fooling anyone here.
  6. I'd be quite excited for a loop - although for me there are two types of loops. The first is one that gives you a ton of hang-time going around the top, and the second is one that sustains positive G-forces throughout. I guess you've also got a third which is in the middle of the two. I think an intense loop could be a bit boring since they are quite overused, but I've heard great things about Full Throttle's loop, and something with that level of hang-time could be amazing. Plus, a loop can always be seen as an "icon" of the ride - try making an icon out of a 0g roll or airtime hill - it just doesn't work as well - but a loop could potentially make the ride look even cooler for bystanders. I would love a 0g roll as well, or some other cool inversion.
  7. Having the loop out the front is a great idea, loops always look fantastic and if it's going to be huge like Flash's (obviously it won't be as big if it's further out) it'll certainly be an icon for the park.
  8. When I was at the park this morning there were a couple of maintenance guys underneath the ride, however they just seemed to be inspecting it and not doing anything major.
  9. ^pretty much this, they're just not popular any more. Reduced opening hours and being closed for a lot of the year has been going on for the past couple of years, probably partly because of their out-of-the-way location and their decreasing popularity. I doubt they'd be around for too much longer honestly, despite being a Dreamworld classic.
  10. I think they're usually closed in off-peak @bammrwolfe - might see them reopening at the start of the next school holidays
  11. My review on the lego store: It's a great store that will certainly boost DW's popularity (it was probably the busiest place in the park this morning), but as you can expect with lego, it's a very expensive place. Would have loved to come here when I was younger and more of a lego fan. Plus, I don't know if it's just me, but the place smelled. Sorta chemical-y. Not super strong, but enough to be noticeable throughout the store.
  12. dear god what a necrobump check the date of the last post before posting please...
  13. Both Ever tried taking the stairs back down? Quick trip if you know they're there.
  14. Cyclone was awful for me when I was younger... the ear-banging really hurt. HWSW I find to be an enjoyable ride, just a little jarring in parts. Nothing to cause a headache though. It's not even a rough ride as such - for me rough means something that vibrates significantly and has a rattle to it - Arkham fits 'rough' for me more than HWSW (although it's definitely not too bad) - HWSW just has some bad transitions. And what can you expect - it's an older Arrow coaster.
  15. I agree, for me a serious injury is something that lands you in hospital. Good article.
  16. Lech/Mystic Timbers/Star Trek definitely don't look nearly as good as Flash. And I think most enthusiasts would prefer a hyper over a wing, and probably over a S&S launch too. RMC Mean Streak is most likely to be 2018. I do feel that this could easily be the best coaster of 2017, although it won't appear in the Golden Ticket awards since I think they occur before the ride will even open, plus the bias it has towards North America basically rules out any chance we have of winning anything. It probably doesn't have much of a hope for 2018 either, with Energylandia's hyper up against it.
  17. It's time for you to take a lesson in "Becoming a Theme Park Enthusiast 101"
  18. Yeah, ToT needs aircon in the final flight of stars.
  19. Is it better to stay in Paris or onsite at Disney? The rooms look quite small with limited facilities... but so do everything in Paris it seems. Prices are expensive but specials seem to pull them down to the same price range as other Paris hotels.
  20. To anyone who never holds on for MDMC or Jet Rescue, I feel sorry for your back.
  21. And the store only opens at 9? Sounds like it's going to be very popular! Live opening
  22. Don't say that too loud or it might end up in the newspapers Terrified Dreamworld guests forced to jump from several kilometres in the air when dilapidated theme park ride breaks down
  23. Agreed @Intimidator305. - Along with Intamin, I see Mack to be one of the most innovative companies. B&M are a fantastic company, but their rides often keep to a fairly specific list of models. Intamin and Mack on the other hand seem to be constantly growing and changing - a few years back Mack only made family rides - spinning coasters, wild mice, water coasters, etc - but since then they've added much larger coasters to their lineup - mega coasters, launch coasters, and now hyper coasters. I mean - look at Pulsar at Walibi Belguim and tell me that's not innovative.
  24. You saw what happened when DW tried to do something new and innovative with MDMC...
