  1. @Rydah Hi nice, I didn’t even notice that at first
  2. Certainly did. Around a dozen which were all breaching
  3. Went on the Sea World Whale Watching this morning, awesome experience. Amazing crew and boat. On the way back we could see into the park and how the Vortex construction was coming along Also, more concrete was being poured for the Leviathan slab this morning too
  4. If this is all real and not an accident on their part, I think we may see some an announcement this week, possibly even tomorrow. Also based off Bikash has been posting teasers on his Instagram too
  5. It definitely is. It’s the only Universal park where you need to get a return time to enter the area, you can only get this once in the day and there is a queue system setup before entering the area too
  6. @Smol bean I think it was always intended to be shown on commercial television
  7. Bikash on Instagram: “So close I can feel it, look out for our announcement folks”
  8. Or I could just do the math... (Keep in mind this is very rough. I just used Nearmap and roughly drew an area line around the outdoor spaces. Attraction footprints and buildings aren't included) Sea World - 8,000 Movie World - 6,000 Wet n Wild - 6,000 Paradise Country - 2,500 Dreamworld - 9,000 WhiteWater World - 3,500
  9. It is great to get an updated POV. But if you're going to realise another one, why not announce the rides name and/or logo too? A cool moment that I didn't notice before was the track goes over the train tracks. I'd love to be on the train as its launching We only see two trains in this footage, so as we had already assumed, they will probably just be the two Nice open viewing area and walkway through the track I do hope we see this much rock work across the site to add to the landscaping Back row going up that spire will be awesome (Especially with the spinning seat) As I suspected, the train looks very similar to the ones for DC Rivals
  10. Qld borders will reopen July 10. The 100 people max capacity for stage 3 has been scrapped and instead it will be the 4 square metre rule. Stadiums will be allowed to have 10,000 people from stage 3 too. Hopefully this is a positive step for the parks reopening
  11. I'll most likely be straight in there, I miss the enjoyment of just strolling around the parks in my free time. And if Vortex is opening with the park, I'll definitely be wanting to check that out Its been over 3 years since I visited Dreamworld too, so I look forward to getting a pass and heading back their too
  12. A couple years ago I heard a rumour that there were plans to demolish it and a new attraction would use that land. Whether those plans have now changed because they went down Atlantis path, I don’t know, but I definitely think they should do something. When it was Planet SOS I remember the attraction always being popular and that might have been because there was a clear entrance along the parks main path. I don’t think anyone goes up towards the entrance of Spongebob anymore because the Skyway was removed I wish they’ve fix up the bottleneck access to Jet Rescue. I was hoping with Atlantis they were going to remove that bridge, as it seemed like Leviathan was going to reach that area, but those plans found proved that thought wrong.
  13. Because the park is closed this might not mean anything, but Spongebob 3D has shown up on the maintenance page with no dates. In the past, no dates means closing for good
  14. Bikash has posted on Instagram “Coming soon opening of our parks watch this space”
  15. Work pretty much stopped as soon as the park closed, so these are the most recent photos
  16. Based off some of the photos, here are the possibilities
  17. Cheers @Bikash Randhawa Glad to hear WnW its on the to do list and I look forward to seeing what in the works
  18. Hey @Bikash Randhawa. For the last few years there has been plenty of discussion on here about Wet n Wild and how it comes across as the forgotten park for VRTP. I'm sure this isn't necessarily the case, but since 2011/12 there hasn't been that great of investment in the park. Bringing back Dive n Movies was a fantastic decision and seemed to be very popular. But having visited the park a few times over the summer, there are some areas that seemed to be overlooked/lacking. For example, the Zipline tower was installed and has remained unused since 2012 and for such a prime location for the park, I would have thought this would have been a priority to remove (particularly during the time when the shelters were installed around the wave pool). Obviously getting new attractions takes time, but it's been a few years since Mach 5 closed and to my knowledge has remained untouched. Some of the attractions also need some attention, as their colouration has weathered well (Eg. Constrictor, Aqualoop and Tornado). And the waterfall at Calypso Beach was also removed a few years ago, but hasn't yet been replaced, despite the structural elements remaining. It was great to see the entire Aqua Racer replaced a couple years ago and that definitely brought a new life to the attraction. With such major investments in Movie World and Sea World over recent years, new attractions every year aren't expected, but it seems like it has been 8 years since any major investments into the park. Basically, I would just like to hear your thoughts on the park, some of the items I've touched on and the comments about it being the 'forgotten' park. Cheers.
