  1. I have seen a commercial saying about the new thrill ride, water slide and food outlets, but I haven't seen this one.
  2. Has anyone been to WnW recently and got any photos of the work happening? I think they are still doing ground work but has piping and slide parts arrived at the park yet?
  3. I just drove past MW and the carpark was overflowing and people were still queuing outside. I would say that the event is a sell out. MW has put this on FB: Hi everyone, if the nights sell out there may be additional nights added in July. We will keep you updated as soon as we know!
  4. Yes I agree the building could have been used better, but I don't see how the driving school would fit outside of the building. The land used for speedys taxis wouldn't be big enough for what they have done. Maybe if they used the back section (where marvin rocket used to be). But we will have to accept what they have done, even if it isn't want we wanted.
  5. In the photos it shows major/large underwater scenes being filmed at sea world and the scene that looks like in some sort of cave at the movie world studios.
  6. I would say that a news reporter was at sea world today and when they saw it had broken down they thought; Yes a story. And then of course the media make it out to be something bigger than it actually is. But a lot of people don't realise that it keeps on happening.
  7. Oh my mistake. I thought that there were dolphins and fish in the show. I was told it was at SW, but obviously they were wrong. I never watched the show (obviously), but my sister did when she was younger. EDIT: I just googled the show and it says it was filmed at Sea World and Movie World on the Gold Coast.
  8. I think that the back wall looks good. I would say that the corner cut out will be the entrance and exit to the ride. And I agree on what you say about the shows. But I am not overly hopeful about it at the moment and would say the other half will just be used for storage.
  9. All of those food stands look really good
  10. It wasn't actually filmed at WWW, it was filmed in Brisbane. It was just a partnership with Dreamworld and WWW.
  11. I used to watch that show. It was actually filmed in Brisbane, but the opening scene to the show made it seem like it was at Sea World and WWW. The building at WWW was were the frozen coke is now. They hosts used to be painted on it. The show really just had a partnership with the parks and would film some things there. Another show was Toasted TV. That used to be filmed at Sea World (this one was actually filmed at SW). It was usually filmed on the orange deck, where the nickelodeon characters are now. Then the show moved to Dreamworld. H2O (I think it was called) (some girl mermaid thing) - that filmed its underwater scenes at Sea World I know a couple of episodes of Talent Time were filmed at Dreamworld as well. And now Camp Orange films there due to the partnership with Nickelodeon And then there are the breakfast news shows which now and then film from the parks as well.
  12. I do hope so. Despite the wild idea not entirely fitting into the theme of Sea World, it will be a great addition to the park. As far as I am aware there aren't any hippos or gorillas in captivity in Queensland. Something definitely will be happening on the reclaimed land, as SW continued to do so and it is now finished. I do think they announced it too early (2012). They said it would be coming in Summer 2014, then 2015 and now we don't know. Either the reclaiming has taken longer than expected and now it has to sit there for a certain amount of time, to ensure that it is stable enough for construction to begin on it; or the zoo they were going to get the animals from has decided to keep them and now SW need to plan something else (I doubt the second option though). I personally think we might see something next year. They have only just got Storm and they are trying to fix Sea Viper. Movie World and WNW are getting new kids attractions.
  13. If they had the money they could make the park twice as big. But I definitely can't see that happening any time soon. WWW could also probably be twice as big, making it go near the back of Tiger Island. That would make the park a much bigger competitor to WNW.
  14. And it has broken down again, but this time it made the news. It was no different to the other times really.
  15. It does sound like a lot, but it is mainly just finishing touches now. The only major part to it is installing the gondola and as you said the rest can be done after its installed. Remember the original completion date was 30 June, so I would expect it will be back open in the middle of the month.
  16. For the people who have recently been to Dreamworld, do you think that Wipeout is close to finishing? Such as the final coats of paint, pathway, queue area. Because soon as these are done the gondola will be installed, then the water will be put in place and testing can begin. I know that it is obviously nearly finished because it is nearly July, but do people think we will be seeing testing within the next week, or two?
  17. Such as the Motorsport (or something like that) world which has been mentioned before. Move v8 thing next to MDMC. And use some of land is the centre of the lake and add another ride of some sort. A roller coaster would be good.
  18. I don't think it will any time soon. The ratings are high, especially for eliminations. Dreamworld have to many benefits and attract more and more guests when the show is running.
  19. I am pretty sure that sign has now been removed. I am pretty sure, but could be wrong, but I think the land for the town centre is on the other side of the road (Coomera train station side), unless the shopping centre is on both sides. But remember it was cancelled back in 2008. They could have done something then. Instead they just rented the house out to people for parties, etc. I would say that it will be a few years before it will be cancelled again. A new generation of people are watching it now, it is one of the most popular shows on tv. Exactly. If Dreamworld want to expand the park with new attractions, they should replace eureka mine ride and blue lagoon.
  20. Well 2 of them are basically the same slide. But yes, I have got good odds. But I think you have definitely got the best bet. The odds for you are really high
  21. I would say at this stage they are installing the piping and other ground work. Also, Dreamworld have changed their website to just say: Major makeover of “Wipe Out” – Coming Soon. I would say that the other makeover will be happening next year
  22. My bet for what WWW are getting is either a PROSLIDE TORNADO 12, PROSLIDE TORNADO 24 or PROSLIDE TORNADO WAVE AND PIPELINE WAVE
  23. I would say that there will definitely be a one way system. As previous/current staff members have said on these forums, when they have to operate the Speedy's Cars and Taz Dodgems, some kids struggle to operate them at first and just drive around crashing into everyone and everything. If they want to teach kids about road safety, MW aren't going to let them do what they want, otherwise they will be on the wrong side of the road and crashing into each other.
