Just a side note, The Dreamworld Flyer when announced was supposed to open mid-2023, but at that time the fountains weren’t going to be a part of it. So with the addition of that, saw the delay to a late 2023 opening. But I think the opening timeframe was revised pretty quickly and they didn’t publicly over promise on their website or social media to say it’s definitely opening mid year and it didn’t.

How was the wait and loading procedures for Kaboom? When I first went on it not long after it opened, the wait time was insanely long and slow (despite the queue looking short) because the operators would be panicking/stressing about people getting into the tube because there’s no gate? They would raise their voices if you didn’t get in the tube exactly how they told you because you could easily slip/fall down that drop.

The store does look very empty, but this large open space in the centre looks like the perfect spot a large model for an upcoming land could go 👀

Just looking at the concept artwork again, based off this surely the main entrance is going to be coming from Main Street. Why would they want guests to get that big first impression of the large facades when you enter from behind it. Walking down the alleyway and getting that grand entrance once you’re within the land I see as the best way to enter the land. The fact that they’ve the former AA buildings makes me think that it will still be the entrance for one of the coasters, if not both. Considering that’s they’re the main attraction for the land, surely you don’t want any you main entrance to be right next to the entry to the coasters. Otherwise they will have the same issue AA had, a massive courtyard that they’ve put money into to theme it, but no one actually uses it. Granted, AA was a high thrill coaster compared to what these coasters will be, so it will be a more popular area, but I don’t think it makes sense for them to keep that Superman connection open. Yes it’s another dead end of the park, but if they use both alleys (Main Street & Scooby) it will make for a much more immersive experience.

Probably because they’ve actually got Leviathan consistently operating this summer, even if it is just one train!

Topgolf will be closed until early February at the earliest

I would’ve much preferred that they went back to using this entrance and closing off the access from Superman entirely, just to spread the crowds out a little more rather than bottling them all up at the front. This entrance was so good and really built you up to the ride because you couldn’t see any of it. This as a grand entrance to Oz down the yellow brick road would be so good, rather than walking through the DC Universe to get there.

Even re-opening the former Arkham alleyway that connects to Scooby will help significantly

The first attraction maintenance schedules have been published on the Dreamworld website. So far, nothing out of the ordinary.

Busy day at MW for its first day of operation in 2024. Superman and Rivals a 2.5-3 hour wait, WWF at 2 hours and everything else up to an hour.

All parks excluding SW are closed again today

Sea World was the only park that has remained open today, but Leviathan and Storm Coaster. And with Vortex still closed, that only left Trident and Jet Rescue as the main attractions. Trident has been over an hour and Jet Rescue ranging from 30-60 minutes.

Due to todays severe weather, so far Movie World, Wet n Wild, Dreamworld and WEW have confirmed they won’t be opening today.

Surfrider did have 140cm height requirement and a max of 200cm I believe. You are right about Vortex, however I also think it comes down to it doesn’t look like an enjoyable ride and it just isn’t. It’s uncomfortable, jolly and lacklustre.

It definitely does, and I’m glad they haven’t just left it to continue rotting away (even if it did take them 7 years). Areas like this were much needed at SW, hopefully they add some seating and umbrellas because it’s a very exposed area in the summer. But you know what would’ve been even better there, an Intamin Half-Pipe Shuttle Rollercoaster

That’s a shame to here because management seem to be really pushing operations and making DW the best possible park, while WWW might be getting forgotten (that’s being a bit extreme because they spent a lot of time and money repainting all their slides, etc). However, when the park used to have very good operations and queues were generally very quick, it’s disappointing to hear.

Curious to know why? Not saying you’re wrong, just want to hear your explanation for why you think it’s better.
