  1. Take MDMC for example, that was somewhat a prototype and that was $10 million
  2. The vortex is looking very very blue. I like blue, that seems like too much blue. I liked the stone look they had in the concept art, but it seems like those pesky budget cuts are at play again
  3. Taronga Zoo will reopen June 1 with reduced capacity Here is their video about the reopening and what will be put into place/changes I think it’s a pretty well put together video and hopefully the GC parks create something similar upon their reopening
  4. @djrappa So could we say that Superman Escape was cheap at $16 million
  5. Universal Orlando could be soft opening June 1 and official reopen June 5. Awaiting for approval from government first
  6. I know this is probably assumed knowledge, but I have had confirmation from a friend that the parts for Leviathan have already started to arrive, but there are some delays on a lot of the parts that are coming in
  7. There’s seems to be a lot coming from VRTP, but what about DW?
  8. It’s a real shame the full dream of John was never completed. I really wish he had kept the park because it would really be a stand out and would literally be like our very own Disney.
  9. Not so much scrapped, but possibly delayed. TBC.
  10. @Taj O'Neill I don’t think it needs that, maybe a small show like they used to have. That would be enough. For me, it’s really about the charm of going on a paddle boat around the river
  11. Or invest in a new paddle boat, I’m sure there would be plenty of people would love to see it return. It was an iconic part of DW
  12. BSS was closed for maintenance before the park shut. So I would say they’ve completed the maintenance and just haven’t removed the fencing because there is no point in doing so. There isn’t a need to spend money on the labour to remove/relocate the fencing when it isn’t essential right now.
  13. Florida have just announced phase 1 of the full reopening of the theme parks. Every park must submit their reopening plan to be approved before they are allowed to reopen
  14. I love that Aussie World posted this, it gives the park a good reputation that they are making the most of the time while they are closed SW and DW have been doing updates on the animals which has been great to see, but if they are completing maintenance on the rides while the parks are shut, they should also be posting about it, so people are aware of it. I’ve seen so many comments asking whether maintenance is being done but there’s no response
  15. Dreamworld - Remembering the Golden Years posted this, this morning I never knew this was an attraction and there doesnt seem to be much about it anywhere online. I found it ran from 1997 to 2000 and was a part of the Village Oval (which I believe today is Dreamworks). Does anyone remember the attraction? I assume it was similar to Disney’s Jungle Cruise? Was it any good? Did it run on the Murrissipi River?
  16. Triple the amount of supports are now in the car park Overview of it all
  17. Power splash would be the perfect attraction for DW and is a great replacement for RHLR. The footprint of RHLR covers around 140 metres, but the Power Splash does cover a lot more area, so it would head towards the Blue Lagoon area. Hopefully if DW are happy with Mack and their new coaster, hopefully that will lead towards more rides from them.
  18. WnW has always been the poor popular water park because it’s the oldest and has always been the place for teenagers to go. And the park itself looks bigger, when in fact, on slide count it is smaller. What I still like with WnW is the amount of plants and trees across the park, especially around areas like Calypso Beach. If WWW gets a lazy river and fills it with plants, so it makes it feel like you are somewhere else and not in a water park or near a road (with a school and housing near by), then it will take the park to another level. For a few years now I have seen WWW as the superior water park and since Fully 6 was installed and the park wide refurb, its without doubt better
  19. I definitely don’t think an entire forum should be removed because of some unnecessary/off topic comments. There were some great discussions and information posted in that forum, that could be useful to look back on or compare how are parks handle reopening
