  1. They have ripped up the soft fall flooring (Nearmap update from April 20)
  2. Here’s some construction photos of Bermuda Triangle
  3. If you have look on the park map on the website, some of these issues you’ve pointed out have been fixed https://dreamworld.com.au/-/media/Pdfs/Dreamworld/ParkInfo/DW-Park-Map-English.ashx?la=en&hash=145AA5EEE5ECE6862676B9099E94B0B2B414E524
  4. I have noticed mistakes on them before, but never looked at it in detail and wow that’s a lot of mistakes. While they should definitely fix all those mistakes, most of them aren’t that major for general day guests to notice or they won’t majorly effect someone’s day I have always wondered why they show the Giant Drop on Main Street, but listed under Rocky Hollow (which it is actually a part of)
  5. Geez I didn’t realise how bright it was outside today Cheers for the photos @Adventures With JWorld
  6. I can confirm scheduled maintenance is being done across the parks, as per the websites
  7. In regards to ride maintenance, do we think that they will release a new schedule once they reopen (because right now it's all the same) and it will all be cramped into the rest of the year? Or will it be done while they are closed? Or once they have an idea of when they'll reopen, they will begin doing said maintenance?
  8. Some of the best content ever discussed on these forums It’s basically a dummy’s guide for how to build a roller coaster
  9. @TomiJ thanks for sharing, but yes, they were shared a couple months ago and there were more works done since these photos were taken The key part of his post is the text, which I assume has just been taken from GC Bulletin Would be awesome if the ride was ready for when they can reopen EDIT: Full article is here if anyone has access and can share https://www.qt.com.au/news/new-theme-park-rides-to-launch-after-lockdown/4004746/
  10. Driving past this morning, it appeared that the shipping container was gone and there was some more fencing ready to be put up when more parts arrive
  11. If it makes it better, I’m one of those essential workers and I’m exposed to hundreds (sometimes thousands) of people a day. So me stopping by on my way to said work, especially at 6am when there is no one around, won’t impact anyone. But I do get your point @Skeeta
  12. @Skeeta I was on my way to work anyways, I pass the park entrance to get onto the highway to get there and I did not exit the vehicle to take the photos.
  13. There are other parts near BuzzSaw too, including the bolts that secure the columns into the foundations
  14. With the parks closure, DW should try keep the hype going for upcoming attractions etc, to get people excited about new things when the park reopens. I think they should take this opportunity to announce the attractions name/theme and start sharing posts that ride parts are beginning to arrive. Even if construction won’t begin for a while, at least get the hype train going
  15. Considering the event takes the majority of the year to create and maze construction usually begins early June (at the latest) I can’t see it happening. Unless the parks reopen by the end of May (which is very very unlikely), I doubt the event will go ahead. I was talking to a staff member who said when they first announced the parks closures, they were already discussing whether or not the event would go ahead this year. But it’s not just the time constraint: If the parks do reopen soon, social distancing restrictions may still be in place, which would be somewhat manageable during the day, but at the event that’s heavily crowded, endless queues and you are required to touch others during mazes, it’s very very unlikely. This friend did say and event like White Christmas is a lot easier to organise, as it’s essentially the same thing every year, with only minor changes made. So for that event, it would come down to whether social distancing is still in place. They may reduce the capacity on each night and add more of them. But that then might not be financially viable
  16. There are a couple of shipping containers and a small crane arrived here in the carpark this morning
  17. I’d say that Vortex will just open when it’s ready, no matter what time of the year that is. I would imagine there will be another 4-6 of construction/testing before it opens (once the parks reopen). Leviathan, that’ll probably have major delays. Depending on how long they remain closed for it could be Easter next year, but I would expect it to be pushed back until late next year. Which could mean Trident will be pushed back again to either Summer 2021 or Easter 2022.
  18. It doesn’t look like anything is happening on vortex, but as you say, they may possibly working on the ground works for leviathan. But I can’t imagine there would be anything major going on
  19. @joz I’ve been on it a few times and i didn’t think it was that great, but I went on it earlier this year with too mates and it picked up some real good speeds and forces.
