  1. Can that process happen during construction or does it happen once it’s completed and then an inspection happens
  2. Due to low crowd levels, Friday nights have been cancelled
  3. Wow. Thank you MW for bring back this facade. That looks so much better
  4. I’d like to see them remove the big one and just have the two smaller side ones. MWs great appearance went when the roof was installed and this screen really made it worse
  5. Awesome news and obviously very fitting with the Park After Dark too. I wonder if he’ll be performing at the event too. im also looking forward to seeing how they take their other events this year even further too
  6. That screen would be over 10 years old now wouldn’t it? Maybe if they got a deal on the other screens after Dive n Movies happened, they should get another new one to replace the original
  7. I can’t see them changing BuzzSaw and I don’t see the need to either. If they theme Steel Taipan don’t (basically make the station to a similar look of BuzzSaws at the minimum) then it will fit into the area well
  8. Maybe it isn’t random and some of the yellow is staying 🤫
  9. I definitely want to, but I’m just waiting for it to be really worth while. Once SV opened and heard the response I was very tempted, but with the announcement of the coaster I thought to wait a bit more until that’s well under way
  10. It was definitely done on a budget. Ride is great and offers one of the best experiences on the coast, but the preshow, queue and station was very poorly brought together
  11. To be fair though as I mentioned earlier, I haven't been in 3 years.
  12. I get your point 😂 But I’ll just list things off the top of my heads anyways WWW park wide refurb (inside and out) Facade repaints on Main Street Giant Drop exterior refurb and additional path to cut out the stairs and ramp Refresh of the path between Tiger Island and ABC Kids Refurb of path between Rocky Hollow and Corroboree The things highlighted about the entrance area. Yes that definitely needs to be fixed (unless it has and hasn’t been noticed). And the train line, I haven’t been on the train in over 4 years, so not sure. But as you suggest, you are correct. There’s quite a bit that hasn’t been resolved that should be, but also, other issues have been resolved
  13. I know some of the things are still yet to be dealt with, but improvements are being made. I will say I haven’t been to the park in 3 years now, so I’m sure there is plenty I’m unaware of across the park, but from pictures that I’ve seen, some (not all, but some) changes been done
  14. Good to see that in 1.5 years, from what I’ve seen, more care is being taken and most of these things have been resolved. While there’s still a way to go, they are on a good track. For now we just have to deal with those empty voids throughout the park until new things are permanently built to replace them
  15. Around that time was probably my favourite time for all the parks. DW peaked early 2000s, MW peaked early 2000s and then just before they installed the roof. WnW after they opened H2O Zone. WWW is too new but I would say it’s peaking now
  16. In that case, those dolphins are now whales. I definitely don’t think the map is anything to go by as it’s been very roughly put together in photoshop/illustrator someone who had little time or hasn’t used the program before
  17. My first visit to the park was in 2000 and my favourite period was 07-08
  18. Just came across this 1997 park map of the park too that shows the train
  19. The first part of the counter weights have been installed (Photo TPSN)
  20. It’s very crude, but here’s a rough idea on one of the old park maps
  21. It started next to the sea lion theatre, went underneath the seating, went straight up the outside of the park (which gave you a view of the Broadwater and some of the backstage stuff). You them wrapped around the outside of the dolphin theatre, underneath the Corkscrew, over the stone bridge, behind the kids stage show theatre, across a pathway where the food court was and back into the station
  22. Some comments I’ll add. The smaller green building is the control booth. I can’t tell if it’s been painted green or covered in foam to be moulded, etc. The bigger building, is that to do with the mechanic of the ride or could it be for the queue area? From what I could see (which wasn’t a lot), there didn’t seem to be anything in there. If in fact it is the queue building and it creates a pre-show in some way, that should be awesome. It does also appear there will be fountains under/around the ride too. I do also hope they create a great entrance for the whole precinct. And not just have a sign like they did for COTD. It needs to set the atmosphere and style for the theme/story of the precinct
