  1. I really like GL and think the forces and angles are good. And I'm glad that it is slow, because otherwise the turns and inversions wouldn't be as intense. i haven't been on other versions of this ride anywhere else, so I can't compare. And I wouldn't say it's world class, but i see it as a must when you visit MW.
  2. ^They could, but considering SW recently got one and are both a part of VRTP, I can't imagine that happening. A coaster in the Wild West area would be good. I think for now we had enough superhero rides. To bring more life to the Wild West area of the park, another ride needs to be added. And there is plenty of space for a 'World Class' ride
  3. You've been asking for it and now we're happy to announce that we're introducing an exciting new guest entry product to Aussie World! It goes for a whole year, never gets boring and is always FUN? Can you guess what it is? Here's another clue! When you have this hot little ticket in your hands, you could say the FUN is truly UNLIMITED. If you've guessed what this is, you're probably wondering how you can get it. Click this link all will be revealed! http://www.aussieworld.com.au/things-to-do/expression-of-interest-for-annual-pass
  4. Your answers to that question can be found here: http://www.parkz.com.au/forums/topic/6734-2015-in-dreamworld-abc-kids-world-v8-supercars-and-more/
  5. TPSN posted this photo. Confirms that it is an extension to the Dirty Harry's Bar:
  6. ^The reason they got rid of it was because, particularly in Summer it was really hot in the space. If the enclosed the queue line, then they could have installed air conditioners. But the themed queue area was narrow and confined. They opened up the big door at the end to try and increase airflow, and it did help, but it was still hot in the confined space. For a while it was just blocked off, and on my last visit it was removed, but no queue rails had been installed.
  7. Tailspin has just come back from a maintenance period, so has anyone noticed if the plane that was removed has been fixed and reinstalled?
  8. Are you really going to start another topic on this again ...
  9. Im lead to believe that Superman is making a return to MW. They are currently looking for a male performer to be 'one of the worlds greatest superheroes coming soon to the park'. Applications close on the 13th Novemeber, so maybe we will see him make a return at Christmas.
  10. The GL logo was lit up last night and all of today as well, something I haven't seen in a while
  11. I don't often it food at theme parks, and will just bring my own and go out to the car to eat it. But the food I've had different experiences. I expect the prices to be what they are, even if it isn't worth that much, but theme parks have always had food at a higher price. The other week I had to calamari and chips at SW (from up near the front gate), the chips were fine, but calamari wasn't the best. It was $14, and it didn't overly fill me either. But at MW and DW I've had pretty good experiences. I've had a couple of different burgers from the Gotham City and have had the Ricks Cafe Buffet, and I thought they were both really good, good price and filling, particularly Ricks Cafe. Since DW have upgraded their food outlets, I find the ones that they have, the food choices and quality is much better. At DW I've had a slice of pizza from Doughs Bros, and the one slice is huge and I would class as half of a normal size pizza. It was filling, good quality and had a reasonable price.
  12. Yeah it is a massive pain, and I've learnt that you need to park on the far right or on the grass. If you park close to the park gate it takes a very long time, took one of my friends 90 minutes to get out. When I've gone past MW at about 6, trying to get into the park seems rediculous. I do think they should add another entry point (cutting the garden bed just past the MW sign) and another couple of exit point (cut through the garden bed). But the carpark is owned by council and MW lease it from that, so maybe modifying the garden beds isn't possible.
  13. They said scare maze or a scare precinct. It will come down to what the story of the film made is like. If it has a good story to it and good characters then I'd say it will become a maze.
  14. ^Replaced by Sea World Eye, which was then replaced by Ray Reef.
  15. The reopening date for the cyclone has been taken off DWs website. Maybe it's going to take a little longer than they thought.
  16. It's not looking good for the chairlifts. When I was there yesterday there was no sign of the gondolas. I do hope they replace them and reopen it.
  17. SW posted these photos on FB this morning of inside the tavern:
  18. And to my knowledge, very few of us work at SW. Just general people who are themepark enthusiasts. If SW weren't doing the work they do, and had the same standards and enclosures as SWs in the US then I wouldn't support it. But everytime I go to SW GC and seeing the beautiful creatures it brings a smile to my face. Yes it may not be their natural environment, but they were born in captivity or are unhealthy, so therefore they wouldn't survive in the wild. Would you rather see the creatures die, or live a life in a protected environment, and helping educate us to help save the creatures in the wild. You are entitied to your own opinion, and this is mine.
  19. I don't agree with keeping orcas in captivity. And I also have seen the Blackfish a couple of times. But I think what SW here on he GC does is different from the US SWs. The ones here on the GC have either been rescued and are no longer capable of returning to the wild, or were born in captivity. The Dolphins live in sandy bottom enclosures, which is much better than glass enclosures. Yes I don't agree with animal captivity if they are being mistreated or are forced to do tricks. But the Dolphins perform natural behaviours (just search on YouTube) and they don't do tricks through hoops or balls on their noses. I think the work SW GC does is great, and is an essential part for our sea life. As shown today they returned a dolphin to wild after being rescued 7 weeks ago. People continue to complain after SeaWorlds, but the same could be said about zoos. Animals are kept in enclosures. And some do tricks. But I believe that it is important to educate people about our wildlife and the importance of them. I have done some study at university on climate change, pollution, etc and some many species are endangered and are ending affected from human actions. It's with places like Sea World GC, Australia Zoo, etc people can be educated about wildlife and appreciate the animals beauty.
  20. So its been a couple of week since I visited the park and quickly checked out if any changes had been made to the area. There weren't any major differences, except a 'ring of fire' had been added at the top of the first drop of the coaster, the dora show had a new sign and the TMNT stage area had a basketball hoop installed.
