I think the idea for the Fun Police Officer is to try to have some sort of street entertainment. If you read through the posts to Dreamworld on FB, people say about how there isn't enough street entertainment throughout the park (a part from the dreamworks, wiggles characters and kenny koala, but these are mainly for photos) like there used to be. So the fun police officer was something they could quickly put together. Maybe the park could have a balloon animal maker or a street magician of some sort (there is one in the big brother house at the moment, so maybe afterwards he could get a job at DW). Or even have a cowboy steal a fake bag of money (like they have at mw) in the gold rush country. I think some simple street performers such as these throughout the day can make a difference.

^What rides is that for?
-
^^When I was there last year there were a couple of tv's showing the rides. Video is quite old I think. There was also a large TV placed vertically in the giant drop queue line used for advertising passes and park experiences. There was also a smaller one above that showing the same video as the one in River Rapids.

Too Much Studios in Movie World?
themagician replied to themeparklover's topic in Theme Park Discussion
^I was like that at first. I think the studios are fine and are all necessary. The are important for the film industry within Australia. I know the industry isn't huge i Australia, but when films are made here it provides hundreds of jobs. And the closest studio to the park are used for Fright Nights mazes. There are 9 large studios and a few small buildings, but I don't think there are too many. MW have got some land to the left of WWF that could be used for a future attraction. -
What I think is great about the ride is how it can be a really enjoyable ride for everyone. Thrills seekers can go crazy on it, while others can just sit back and relax. Looking forward to riding this next time at the park. From what I've seen from photos it is really well themed and fits into ocean parade well. Can anyone say how the parent swap system works? And have TV's been installed yet, for Dreamworld TV? And finally, has anyone had a chance to ride Triple Vortex?

Gates are open at 6 until 10:30pm. Rides are open until 9, except for Scooby-Doo and the mazes which close at 10:30

^I personally think that next year will be a big year of upgrading and refurbishing a lot of the current attractions.

MW Mini Driving School - Officially Confirmed
themagician replied to Brad2912's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Thanks for posting that. Things I like about it: - TV on main street - Moving parts, such as Tweety - Pathway goes around the side, so parents can watch if they don't want to ride. - Characters positioned around the space, such as Bug Bunny coming out of a rabbit hole. Those were just some key parts that I think make the attraction that much better. Thumbs up for MW. -

As others have said about JL, I would say that MW have had to design the ride to suit the space. But I think its good that they have done it this way because the actual layout of MW wouldn't be as exciting. Down main street go left or right and then eventually come to a dead end and have to turn around and see the same things again. It looks like the way they have done Driving school is so that the roads continuously flow, except for Main Street. But it has been positioned so parents can see their kids driving down towards them, so they can take photos. MW have said that there will be lights on the Roxy Theatre. I hope there are a few other buildings which light up. I think it will be good if there are a few animatronics as well. In a photo a couple of pages back we saw Scooby-Doo sticking his head slightly out of a barrel. It would be good if as kids drove past, he would rise out of it a little. From what I have seen so far I am impressed and think it will be a great addition and will be very popular. -
Posted on FB by WnW: Some of you have noticed the fencing and construction happening at Wet'n'Wild at the moment, so we thought we'd share the exciting work being done! Coming soon are some new shade structures beside the Giant Wave Pool for the hot Summer months, we're updating some of our flooring and paint work, and we're improving some of our stores. We hope to see you soon!
