  1. ^That has been like that for a while and hasn't been updated since SW announced it
  2. ^I totally agree. So far this year we are really starting to see Dreamworld head in a new direction. Yes they may not have fixed/replaced what a lot of people really want to be (Eg. Mine Ride), but it isn't like they are shutting down any time soon. People need to be patient, it will happen. Yes it has been a number of year since it closed and it would be great if they did something about it, but it isn't like a big coaster that just sits there. The exterior may be becoming worn, but at least it fits into the area. Dreamworld did a fantastic job with the Dreamwork's area and I personally think Pandemonium is a great addition to the area. Now they have upgraded Ocean Parade and that looks great. We're getting a new thrill ride which looks like it will be a hit, they have cleaned up Shockwave and they have brought life back to one of the parks best rides. There is still plenty they need/can do, but people need to be thankful and be congratulating Dreamworld for the new direction they are heading in, instead of complaining everyday about the same thing.
  3. If there is anyone going to DW this weekend could they please get a couple of photos of the entrance queue for Wipeout and Tailspin and Triple Vortex construction?
  4. Some kids like thrill rides. As far as I am aware there aren't any set rules that only small flat rides or coasters are allowed in kids area. I think it fits well into the area and is a good addition.
  5. I drove past Movie World just before and it appears that the blue paint has become the sky, as it looked like there were rocks and maybe characters painted onto it. I'm not 100% sure because I was on the motorway, but at a quick glance it did appear so.
  6. ^They could just add jets under the water, which keep the water moving. They could just be attached the edge of the wave. It wouldn't take much.
  7. Thanks for that. Overall I'm really impressed with it. It would have been nice if they had put a bit more water in it. Dreamworld should just install a filtration system and then they don't have to worry about it getting dirty.
  8. Dreamworld replied to one of them saying this: Mine Ride has retired and is now doing what all happy retirees do, he is fishing, travelling around in his caravan and spending his children's inheritance. The Mine Ride is not coming back to work, but he loves hearing how happy he made everyone when he was here and working so hard to do just that, create great memories. The area he was housed in will one day become a new adventure for guests, we just don't know what that will be just yet.
  9. I too never saw an ad, only social media announcements. I think it is quite a popular ride, but I am sure there are many people who won't go on it again after their first ride. I went on it in its first week of operation and I felt terrible after it. I was alright when the arms were rotating us one way, but once we stopped upside down and changed directions it was horrible. After it I had to go home, because I felt so bad. I think it fits well in the area and they it is themed reasonably well.
  10. Deconstruction of Sea Viper has already begun (Photos from: the theme park social network):
  11. There is a difference in the name as well. The show is Tale Spin and the ride is Tailspin
  12. The Wipeout great, the water and light effects look great, and I don't hear anything wrong with the sound. Well done Dreamworld, well done. Can you please provide a link.
  13. ^Yes it is. It is used by MW, SW and WNW when there is maintenance, construction, etc.
  14. I know some people don't, but I have faith in Dreamworld that they will deliver us a ride that will look very similar to the concept artwork they have released. After seeing what they have done to Wipeout and hearing about other plans they have for the park, I am looking forward to it.
  15. Triple Vortex is said to have a capacity of 300 riders per hour. Regarding the Tailspin, how long does the ride usually last for, because I have never been on a ride like this one before? What capacity per hour do they usually get?
  16. I'm assuming from that photo that the right building is the operations booth, and maybe the left one is a viewing platform
