You certainly would hope, but I don’t have faith in this being the case

Considering they have been so perfectly cut and every part of the ride was carefully removed, I think it’s still being sold/relocated, but for transportation reasons they’ve cut the structure in half. They can be welded together and strengthened to ensure the structural integrity isn’t compromised. It’s a lot easier (and cheaper) to transport 8 smaller columns than 4 larger ones.

Almost 6 years later, the Minions Land officially opened on Friday. Here’s a good article I came across providing a good overview of the whole land https://dejiki.com/2025/02/uss-minion-land-grand-opening-tour/?fbclid=PAZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAaZGSjUDnkHsyFxhiD8vCH5V45T5H3TBo049HrKwlBrTo2tXc-ietVyhC_U_aem_weOfdH_CiCMC5iUOR3ZrdQ -
The CEO of the Big Banana has confirmed this Alpine Coaster has been ordered and is on its way. It’s a $5 million investment, will be opening later this year, will be just under 1km long, will have two lift hills in sections be 12m above the ground. The name hasn’t yet been confirmed (Plantation Coaster is a name being considered). Credit to Dane’s Theme Park Life for the interview with the CEO revealing this info.

No we can’t, but when you compare their ride ops to DW and how quickly the park can pump out guests on Jungle Rush and Steel Taipan, Village ain’t doing something right.

I hope so too, but while they’re owned by the current parent company and the current management is in charge, we ain’t going to see anything good come from this park. -
You’d think so. The Flash is currently closed for unscheduled maintenance which could be related to Superman closure, but flash is still scheduled to close after Easter
-
@TV15 possibly, but that could still be leftover from when that was the original opening date. Like how Scooby was ‘reopening’ June 3 because it didn’t appear on the calendar. My point being, the dates written had a from - to, but it was updated to just be from
-
Was scheduled… This reopening date was removed.

They’ve changed the wording

It’s funny how when it’s bearing the end of the ride ops shift they suddenly find this extra pace to get everyone through the queue so they don’t have to stay back (obviously this might not be the reason, but a funny thought) -

I’ve heard from multiple sources that the land did in fact cost $100 million, but I still don’t fully understand how. The cost did include the removal of Arkham Aslyum, all the site prep, new services and stormwater connections, coasters, theming, IP contract, etc. -

Well where the hell did they spend the $100 million if the lack of theming is because of the budget -
As it should be because the website says planned maintenance from February 10.
-
Probably, but I don’t trust them to not just close it either. Just look at Bermuda, Looney Tunes, Monorail, Skyway, Vikings Revenge, Pirate Ship, Sea Viper, Aqualoop and Mach 5… just to name a few.
-
Interestingly the reopening date for Batwing has been removed. Now I’m not saying it’s not reopening, but based on Villages reputation, this is a public service announcement to let people know they should go ride it this weekend… just in case!
-
Probably a Village cost saving tactic. It’s not the first time the theme parks have had some miscommunication, so that could be what it comes down too.

Looks like there’s a lot more themed fencing to come and the black mesh fencing was just temporary. Nothing short of world class…

Wizard of Oz - Movie World Arkham Asylum Replacement

@New display name that’s (one) of the biggest issues with Village, no transparency about anything. And I don’t think at any point they’ve said there is more to come, they said it was officially open (with 14hrs notice) and that’s it. I think a lot of visitors/enthusiasts have said they hope there is more to come, but I honestly think what we see is what we’re getting. They might add some world class shade sails over some of the queues, but that’s about it. Dreamworld have openly said there is more to come because it was all planned to be ready for opening day, but unfortunately due to shipping delays and quality issues some of it wasn’t ready. So they said here it is, it’s officially open, but this isn’t the final product and it’s going to get even better over the next few months as new pieces arrive and are installed.
