  1. Gazza mate no need for smart ass jokes bud thought I would just put my two cents in on this topic and that its mate
  2. Yeh maybe I should have but I should't have to say that kind of stuff to make you believe that my facts are true mate. I have a lot of contacts around the gold coast and fill qite happy to share news that I find out about the parks with you guys
  3. I believe they do mate her mum/step mum is pretty high up at VRTP from what i'v been told
  4. I'v got some onsite reports from my Gf's best friend that I know and she's one of main dancers for villege roadshow,And she's even told me that there is absolutely no plans for anything to happen at the old sea viper site untill next year!
  5. I thought i remember someone saying way back in the day When it first closed and this was mention by a member back in 2006 on roller-coaster.com.au was that... The track and supports needed replacement and the compeny that built the track system was no longer in business and to have a new compeny build an Entirely new track would mean a lot of the Mountain would need demolishing and to be rebuilt to support the new track and that it was goner cost way Beyond what dreaming where willing to pay to get the ride back up and running to there safety standards. So they left it to rust and hope to one day have the finances to remove the ride or restore it to its formal glory. But that's all from what I remember from a member posting who worked at dreamworld when Eureka first closed. "Could have been a totally different reason too."
  6. Fair enough mate but every one has there own opinions and yeh I was like 11 last time I rode it. So like if Eurekka was to reopen does anyone have any guess's on how much it would cost to roughly bring a ride like this back to life?? ?
  7. Can not wait to ride this again one time me and my sister rode the mine ride 5 times in the one day of going to dreamworld. I remember the first time I ever got to riding the mine ride I had nightmares for a couple of days of The Skelton's and dynamite blowing up. Hands down I would still to this day say that the "Eureka mine ride" would be funnest and best ride compared to all the other rides in the park today, that's how good of a ride this was back in the day...
  8. Only 5 mouths late buddy allready been posted on here a few times
  9. it was more of a 50/50 look mate Like it did and it did't kinda feel if you know what I mean.
  10. Big thumbs up to the journalists who wrote that. Think this artical needs to be shown around the globe and to let the rest of the world know that cause we carry the "Sea world" name dos't mean we act like and have anything to do with the "Seaworld" parks over in the states✌️?????
  11. ^^^that's actually not a bad idea, think dreamworld would be financially better off if Disney was to bye them out. But we all know it will probley never happen, but just imagine what the park would of been like' if was ever to have that touch of Disney put throw it.
  12. But of a random question. But does any1 have any photos of the constrution of the tower and terror, me and a mate are trying to figure out if a tower crane was use to lift the section's of tower together cause knowing it would of onley taken a couple of weeks to assemble. If it would have been worth the cost to construct the foundations and assemble and disassemble of a tower crane and stuff or done all the heavy lifting with a couple of on road cranes? Cheers boys ??⚠️
  13. Got a mate who's a carpenter and the company he works has been approached bye Macquarie trust group "if that's still the company that owns dreamworld" Anyway they'v have asked his boss to come out and give them a quote on the log ride about doing some major timber works and stuff all over ride and was also saying that Secura Scaffold was also apparently there doing onsite quotes for the lift hill and other parts of the ride, will ask and see if any dates have been put throw yet.
  14. Lol not wronge think I coped a few whiplash's on that slide, you can get some speed if you hit it right ;D
  15. Remember trying to carry them big yellow boards that weighed a tone all the way to the top of that slide, were ya come flying down and skiming a long the water, those were the days :)
  16. ^^^yeh you would think so. For being kept outside she looks to be in good condition compared to the perry, never know mite see the cannonball steam up again and go for couple laps of the park every now and again And I can tell you from being a truck detailer for over 5 years that, that train is getting a regular clean every couple of weeks
  17. Was a pretty good documentary, I'd take it that this why our SeaWorld dos't have any whale shows?
  18. Upsets me seeing the way they are now could have a least put a few tarps over them while they parked up. Should have gave them to some1 else the day they were parked up a big F***you DREAMWORLD!! If any1 is going to DW soon would you be able to get us a couple of pics of the cannonball while she's parked outside :)
  19. Very sad indeed just looking at the condition she was In from just being parked up for Allmost a year, my fave ride is officley gone Would be nice to see if they could bring her back to the way John longhurst had her looking back when the park first opened
  20. I'd have to say from what I remember of riding the thunder-bolt it was a pretty sick coaster to ride back in the day, even to this day I would still put thunder-bolt in my top ten favourite coaster's.
