Disney Expanding Footprint Name In Australia
Naazon replied to Chalky's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Look, I don't think Disney is coming, but if they were to build here, the Sunshine Coast is an option. Plenty of land and also technically an international Airport (that would need major investment, but thats part of the Disney draw), otherwise Western Sydney with their new airport isn't a bad shout either. I can't see VIC, SA, NT or WA getting it over NSW (major population/tourism) and QLD (Tourism). -

The New Atlantis - Construction Updates
Naazon replied to themagician's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I've personally never ridden a woodie, so I'm keeping quiet on that discussion. I love Superman, but its just too short for my liking. I wish it had another element or 2, which is why Rivals takes it for me. without being on ST at DW yet, GL takes #3 with JR #4, and I know many people hate GL but what ever. -
It's been 9 years, surely your NDA would have run its course? Mines is various but in reality about 4 years for financial data + legal agreements and contracts for a large, international inancial institution.

Melbourne Show Rebel Coaster Incident

The Domino's example is likely more of an attempt at humor than providing dumb instructions. The company wants to be trendy and cool. -

Will Fright Nights be less popular due to the price increase?
Naazon replied to themagician's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Increasing the cost will artificially create a ticket cap as people just won't go. -
It's actually likely because they are off the shelf TVs that they break so often. Household goods aren't supposed to run like that. Look up online the differences between a house hold TV vs Commercial TV / Display board. TLDW; Higher quality, designed for always on operation, cooling, simple/barebones OS

No one observed one, and as far as I'm aware, most (all?) Mack rides aren't observed completing them either. -
If you didn't speak to Maintenance who provided that? Ride Ops? Secondly, does this mean the new stairs are installed and ect?

How many NI Loops have Mack had to complete a pull through on? I lost count after 1. specifically, this time. Additionally, its all well and good Mack providing instructions, the crew on the ground need to be the ones who complete it, and they may not have been able to follow the steps/advice provided by Mack. There are 3 parties involved in this. -

Wouldn't the LSMs operate as brakes also since they are...magnets.. But yeah replacing the track to fit the fins makes sense. -

Some simple math on that (more variations 100% at play but lets roll with it) TTD - 193km/h in 3 seconds - 1.82g TTD - 193km/h in 3.8 seconds (seen this reported) - 1.437g TTD - 193km/h in 4 seconds (seen this reported) - 1.365g Xcellerator - 132km/h in 2.3 seconds (37% slower top speed, 26% quicker time) - 1.623g MaxxForce - 125km/h in 2 seconds (42% slower top speed, 33% quicker time) - 1.768g Superman - 100km/h in 2 seconds (63% slower top speed, 33% quicker time) - 1.414g For additional reference to your Air Launch comment: Do-dodopa is 0-180km/h in 1.6 seconds - 3.2g (since 2017) Do-dodopa is 0-172km/h in 1.8 seconds - 2.7g (pre-2017) -

Funny, from my research online, TTD and Xcelerator offer the same launch G-Force Additionally, this claims airpowered launch has the highest G-Force out of all launch coasters, so I wonder if a little subjective reality is at play here? Potentially seating arrangements and forced perspective guiding your opinion. Only hydraulic launch I've been on is superman but I have been on Do-dodonpa and yeah its bloody forceful. -
Dad sues Dreamworld after son falls from stationary attraction
Naazon replied to Rivals's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Honestly, my parenting style is assess the situation and determine risk. If my kid has a fall, well shit thats on me, and he usually gets an ice cream (or strawberries/mango cause he thinks they are better??). I do this regardless if its playground equipment, a tree or whatever, its my job as the parent to make sure my kid is safe. Dreamworlds (and any amusement park or company) job is to make sure my kid is safe in situations that I can't control (like operating a ride) or situations that come with an assumption of safety (like walking on a flat obvious path). The world shouldn't be rubber mats and rounded edges. Take responsibility and create boundaries. Peer pressure is not an acceptable excuse. -

To me it reads like they are keeping the structure and changing elements of the ride. Potentially track extension and or ride systems upgrade. -
