I've said this before but I really enjoy GL, purely for how slow it goes through the elements and just lets you hang. As an aside, the easiest way to not be compared to Rivals, get an Aussie first is get a 'gimmick' coaster, like Flying, Wing, Stand Up, Free Spin, 4D, Dive ect. Hybrid, although cool, won't work. To us the difference is massive, to the GP, its not as noticeable, or easy to market.

If they are built into the ride, I assume it would need to go through the manufacturer? -
70km/h in 1 direction and 70km/h in reverse. Easy, 70+70 = 140km/h duh

So my son used to LOVE this show because he was young and knew nothing, which meant we went every time. My absolute favorite time I've ever seen this was just after it rained and they literally has to do about 5k/m, not even exaggerating, and even then they still skidded past their marks and abandoned some 'stunts'. it was just genuinely hilarious and I want it like that more often now.

Just because international raptors are extreme thrills doesn't mean a custom SW one has to be. The benefit of a custom layout is you make it what you want. The benefit of a raptor is its small footprint, and narrow tolerances allowing it to operate in tight spaces. But as I said, realistically a flat would work better for the areas.

I've said this so many times. Australia needs a flying coaster. If you add a legitimate world first to it (be it an exciting element or height), or make it incredibly themed (hahahahaha) it would draw in the international crowd. MW has a slam dunk here as I see comments from internationals wanting to visit Rivals but there isn't much else for their draw. I've not seen similar comments about ST, likely as its a clone with a swing launch, and swing launches are really hit/miss. That a rambling enough?

Not taking sides because I'm not educated enough, but thats a terrible example of 'safely falling 30m'. No one has been killed to date, but there have been numerous serious injuries The source starts off with injury summaries but as the event moved from planned to "unofficial", due to over popularity and injury risk, I would say the injuries stopped getting reported as often/clearly.

Pretty much every park in QLD now.

I think a raptor would fit there perfectly and could wind around Storm quite easily. But realistically 2 flats, one where the castle is and another where the station is.

Sea World was bashed for doing exactly this before they announced Atlantis, so which is it? Do get temp rides in, or don't?

The story is twisted, it just twists into a positive "hes trying to help the community" story. The thing that speaks louder than the written words is that not only are they not asking for money in the article, its not linked to a website and barely mentions the organisations name. -

Not saying this is the case or anyone here is more right than anyone else but Not For Profit does not mean its not a money making scheme. My very specific example is Aged Care facilities in Australia, many/most are NFPs but their CEOs are very highly paid, but the actual PCWs (the ones who do the hard physical work) are on almost minimum wage. My partner, who took time off to study Diversional Therapy was offered $22.80/h when applying for a role. Rants over, but my point still stands, Not For Profit means either they are good and funnel the money back to the program or community, or bad and any 'profit' is actually just paid to CEOs and upper management. This guy, clearly a new NFP looking for charity status, so doubt hes rolling in it. -

Yeah so, if its Mr Squiggle, you could have the queue lined with chalk boards. Hours of fun! Also yeah, I read way too much about Mr Squiggle for a Monday night. Never occurred why he drew upside down but, it just makes so much sense!

2 quick things. 1) I agree, Sonic/Crash/TY/ any other game based IP that doesn't reach any further is terrible. Sonic is only becoming okay now with the movies and likely Paramount will cash in on that and expand the Sonic universe. 2) Rocket Clock from playschool? Really? and you're just going to leave Mr Squiggle all alone out in the cold? Its got everything, a rocket, a hero and Blackboard to play the baddie, AND hes already yellow! Edit: Was about to say I'm aging myself with the Mr Squiggle comment, turns out it was on air for 40 years!

Could it be that BGH are putting them through more regular maintenance to improve their reliability and bring the attractions up to a higher standard? We have seen them commit to WWF, GL (is this the second time with the 2020 downtime replacing the lift hill evac stairs?), and now JL3D. Not sure when RR was done / who was running MW, I've lost track of time.

Honestly this is super fascinating to me now and I suspect this is now just a console isolation thing where you and your friends only had Nintendo products because if you grew up playing Sonic, then Crash was around. Sonic 2D Platformer Game Release Years: 1991, 1992, 1993 (2), 1994 (3), 1995, 1996, 1999, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2010, 2012, 2017 Crash Game Release Years: 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2019, 2020

But there was a remaster and huge fanfare over the remaster like just a few years ago. maybe 4? or 5? Like it was all over the place with the younger generation complaining about how hard it was.

I'm enjoying this simple but useful communication from MW of recent.
