  1. I feel so far the original mazes have been a hit (HOK did get weaker when moved into a smaller shed) so i won’t be surprised if Death Row is too, when they don’t have to stick to an IP they seem to have a lot more creativity and uniqueness which is when they shine. Where are we thinking for maze locations anyway? same as 2019 or different as you won’t be able to cut through the AA Courtyard?
  2. I think MC and GC do fine for what they are. MC no matter how much the restraints suck (the ride would be so much better if all restraints were the same as the side cars) it is still very popular with families. GC is also popular with families, with most of the line seeming to be mostly be families and/or groups of kids who re-ride it all day. They could do with another “near perfect” family coaster though, as these both come with their flaws.
  3. I’m guessing that was the original information given to the staff, as when people were first coming out on what was shown it was a “dark green coaster”, not seen on the coast and unique, which does not fit woo at all. Fingers crossed they chose to move this project back instead of cancelling it🫠
  4. If i’m being honest, this maze line up looks like one of the strongest they’ve had in years. I hope they can execute them well.
  5. The way the ride interacts with its surrounding area especially right off of the lift hill alone makes it better then RRRC and SpongeBob. The new boomerangs though probably not. I think adding new vekoma SFC trains and speeding the lift hill up (the ride is very slow) would improve the ride drastically
  6. If this is true, maybe they decided to make it their next big coaster instead. Do you have any other information on this or just know they were planning on getting one?
  7. My guess would be either get Intamin back in, full complete retract and structural replacement if places need it and new trains, kinda like what happen with colossus as Heidi Park, if not maybe RMC wood track replacing all the old track.
  8. RMC’s do look good but there is a couple issues from what i’ve heard. The main issue i’ve heard is the trains; the lap bars are apparently very hard and bulky with nothing to actually hold onto, which when mixed with RMC’s aggressive airtime pops makes for an uncomfortable ride experience. I also heard this about the Single Rails which are supposedly not as bad, the issue is more with the straps. There are also issues with certain rides like Lightning Rod and TC, a lot of times parts have been recalled causing the ride to be down, it’s happened to WWGLC, RB, ST and JDC at least 2 times in the year and a bit. Imo if the new team can fix these issues I could see Dreamworld adding an RMC, but with its current track record maybe it isn’t the best option even if the rides themselves do look amazing. B&M, Mack and Vekoma are the main coaster manufactures i can see them working with.
  9. well for steepest drop, it would have to be over 120° which is 29° steeper then their current steepest drop (91° - Iron Gwazi) so i can’t see that happening. Green Lantern also has an outwards banking turn so again, that won’t work. Besides those two (unless Green Lanterns 1st investion counts as a stall) then i guess you’re right? Based on that article i can’t see them working with RMC soon to be honest.
  10. With the wing “shuttle” coaster, would it be worth spending $24m on? I don’t see it adding anything to the park’s line up and would imo be a waste of investment. However, a family wing with the same type of layout as the predicted layout for Legoland constructed for say $19m (excl shipping and other costs), would be worth it. X-Flight at SFGAM Is $21m, im sure a full circuit family wing could be done around that price. However, tearing EFMG down for a vekoma SFC or a B&M family coaster would be great.
  11. no one is saying this. everyone is saying once the park has added more family and a water ride THEN the next big coaster should be ___, no one’s saying their next investment should be a coaster. some non-enthusiast guests don’t like going upside down and find it too intimidating, so when looking at it with a non enthusiast perspective, having a big coaster that doesn’t go upside down alongside a coaster which focuses on going upside down is the perfect fit. They would be different enough for it to be a worth-while investment and have something for everyone. ST= intense, inversion focused, launched. new coaster= balance of graceful and intense, airtime focused, traditional chairlift. The best investment after the family and water additions is a less intense airtime focused coaster, not another coaster which focuses on being intense and going upside down.
  12. Going with an Invert or a Flyer will give Dreamworld a 3rd inversion based coaster, there’s no airtime filled coaster at Dreamworld. A B&M is also very different to a Mack hyper so i think it’s different enough to justify, Rivals cant always be australia’s only hyper.
  13. if you read what i said, i said: what i mentioned is one of the manufactures you mentioned they would buy from, intamin is a back up manufacture. An invert maybe in the future after they have invested into an airtime machine, but definitely further down the line then the next coaster. A hyper from B&M is definitely the most likely option from that company.
  14. Dreamworld would be suit a B&M the most out of the gc parks, they have no airtime and need another major coaster along with ST, once the kids and family additions are done a Raptor or Hyper would be the best fits.
  15. I have read it, what part in particular are you wanting me to know? If you’re talking about how they’re next additions are regarding the kids area and attractions, then i already know.
  16. Day Time testing has started for trident. FullSizeRender.MOV
  17. On a serious note, a B&M (or Intamin) hyper would be a great fit.
  18. This is great news that Dreamworld is starting to recover, my guess for the new attractions will be ABC Kids rethemed with all new rides (existing rides taken out) set to open July - September 2023 and a new water ride (my guess: Mack Powersplash, could’ve made a deal with the ST purchase) in the old RHLR area.
  19. lmao i must’ve read it wrong forget what i said. If it’s 50,000 across all the nights then that seems more reasonable, apologies for reading it wrong
  20. 50,000 is the capacity with tickets being sold at $79-$99 with the highest being $499? goodluck to anyone going on a sold out night.
  21. here’s what i think these rides are based off of their descriptions and here’s some photos. The Matterhorn. Sounds similar to Bayern Kurve at Kennywood. The Tornado. My guess is a conventional Round Up fair ground ride, such as: Ultimate Party Machine. Not completely sure about this one but my guess is a Breakdance ride. The Beast. this one is pretty much confirmed as it travels everywhere and has just left the ekka. Twister. Im assuming this ride will be a chairswinger type ride that is normally seen at fairs
  22. I will say i find it a bit insane a Fright Nights pass for 9 nights is $310 more expensive then a yearly pass with 3 other parks.
  23. I did hear a lot of complaints about IT having no actors and feeling like they tried to make it more “world class” with the animatronics but i’ve heard it felt “lacking.” will admit my group of friends including me that went, we all have a fear of Zombies and walked straight into the maze at the end of the night so might be biased as we all quite literally ran out. HOK imo was amazing in 2018, but they moved it to a smaller shed and we were at the back of the line so it felt boring and all the scares were already done by the time it was our turn. * do agree Annabelle or ‘The Conjuring Universe’ as a whole will be a maze. The character in the end shot which shares the scene with ‘Annabelle’ looks to similar to the demon in the fist conjuring movie, where Annabelle does make a cameo in a scene which also is shared with the saud demon. (side by side shown below - in the movie the demon does have yellow eyes as well)
  24. This is a fan made concept, the first image don’t know where it came from but the second is from Annabelle Creation (2017), as far as i know they are still planning out what will be Annabelle 4. I will have to disagree with some points here. Cant speak on IT (line too long and never ended up going in it) but Doll Haus and Zombie Land were very strong mazes from what i can remember, i thought the weakest mazes from last fright nights were Leatherface (which i still enjoyed) and HOK. With the precincts and price costs i do have to agree, in 2019 there was very little theming and some places felt empty, so i hope either this price increase the theming of these areas is enhanced as well as there being more actors roaming around in each precinct. I am very interested for the map to come out, as the AA area has started demolition and i’m not sure if there is a way to get up to the back sheds without it being a dead end.
