  1. Catch up... It was a walk thru for about 3 weeks for the school holiday period when it launched. It was then converted to laser skirmish, this was always the plan. Not feasible to permanently staff a maze with scare actors in off peak periods, and probably not worth re-config each holiday period
  2. I don't think it's bad, but it could be sooo much better. Jet Rescue is a far superior ride
  3. That's fair enough. Even dealing only with Australian parks I'd still put Superman Escape, WWF, Scooby, Storm, Justice League and probably even Green Lantern above Arkham. Some wall decals and batman on top of a random facade don't make a theme.
  4. I wouldn't consider Arkham to have great theming.
  5. Most of the TV is filmed there, though generally out of hours
  6. Was there today with my little dude for the Wiggles. It was mayhem. As expected Matt Hollywood doing shows at DW during Easter School holidays
  7. So they could put it there, but they can't due to space restrictions? Make up your mind. You could not effectively convert the current cinema to a 360
  8. You realise the capital investment required to build a 360 cinema, given you'd be starting from scratch?
  9. Stop lying reanimated. He's new here and should be tricked or lead astray!! We all know it's going down to LPS and DW is bringing in a large turbine to take photos next to.
  10. The VRTP passes as $109.95 for access til Dec. DW are exactly the same prices. The $99 pass is targeted at tourists not locals
  11. As there is no underwater viewing area there, I fail to see that theme working unless u have giant fish and aquatic species sitting on concrete. Alex - understand your point, yet nearly everyone has answered the question talking about Wild anyway, which was what I figured Would happen.
  12. Dunno if I can be bothered playing this game again....
  13. Plenty of threads about this and the confirmed/unconfirmed/up in the air 'Wild' concept. I think once a decision is made or announced you'll have your answer
  14. ??I've never seen it NOT running except during scheduled maintenance
  15. Vortex or similar can be sampled at pretty much any travelling fair. Thunderbolt whilst iconic to the park, was nothing special really in terms of ride experience. The chairlift - well not really a ride. The one at SW has better views anyway Blue Lagoon - if you've been to WWW or WnW then going to blue lagoon was like going to Disneyland then visiting sideshow alley at the Easter Show and trying to compare the two. All up you haven't missed much
  16. So do you have the same stance on Tigers at DW?
  17. That's why I thought the doomsday tower concept was great, similar to pandemonium it looked like it may have have 2 settings, light and full on. It catered for everyone whilst still providing good thrills.
  18. Avalanche was replaced with Pandamonium. A wouldn't really classify the paddle boat as a ride My point is you can't make a flippant remark like 'All DW does is close rides and not replace them'. It's just completely untrue.
  19. Really? name me all the rides that DW have shut down and not replaced??? I seem to recall Pandamonium, Shockwave and Buzzsaw opening in the last few years, and can't recall any rides in that time closing. If you are referring to the mine ride, yes it still sets they're, disappointingly, though so did Bermuda. So explain your point
  20. I think proximity to accommodation and Nara Resort sways international tourists to SW.
  21. Yeah I'm sure all the parks are quiet, but today was probably the most quiet I've ever seen a theme park in all my Years of visiting. I'm yet to ever seen another park alternate ride operation due to having 1 staff member for 2 rides - but that may be more to do with proximity and safety requirements
  22. Whilst I don't have stats to back it up, I would believe that SW would have the higher tourist:local ratio of all the parks given it's popularity with Asian tourists & unique offering in terms of dolphins (not sure of any other dolphin interactions Australia wide - apart from a few beach-based interactions).
