As I stated, It was only in the one section between the turn around/geyser and the Indian teepees, water level was fine through the western town. other thing I found strange was no attendant in the little room to the left at the start of the lift hill. Usually you can clearly see them and the cctv cameras they are monitoring. No one there today.

Wild West Falls is a shit show today. only 2 or 3 boats on the track at any time. water levels too low between the backwards drop and Indian teepees so you are literally rolling on the concrete which is not great for your back. Audio track skipping and looping the skip through western town, most of the effects not working at all. No lights, sounds or screens for the entirety of the lift hill or turntable JL is about 80% working Lasers stopped working before final scene. Scene didn’t play out until we had passed it. no ride photos

Space probe wasn’t themed to 7, it was sponsored by them.

So Ten is great because they have sports coverage? They pay exorbitant $$$ for sports because they brings viewership regardless of what channel it’s on, and what does viewership bring? Ad revenue. that’s why Ten is going all out for sports, because they cannot draw a market to any of their original productions, so without sports they’d be dead in the water. it’s a moot point, but a ten/paramount re-theme of Movie World is horrendous. You don’t theme your park to the worst performing commercial station in the country (by a long shot)

No one wants to be aligned with Ten. They are an abomination of a failure in every sense. Everything they touch turns to shit

The New Atlantis - Reviews & Reactions
Brad2912 replied to themagician's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I’m pretty certain no one else needs to write that SW should have had a soft opening/technical rehearsal period prior to formally launching Atlantis. By all means provide updates about the precinct opening etc as news comes to hand, but there only so many ways anyone can re-state what’s been written in the last 10 pages… -

They wouldn’t be keeping the ride closed purely due to not being able to run a 2 train operation, they’d just run one train like they will for 80% of the year anyway -
Cheers @DaptoFunlandGuy great read of a location I’d love to get to one day Also appreciate the Eleanor reference that will likely be lost on many here

Stupid use of that saying. it doesn’t look like duct date, it doesn’t function as duct tape, so it’s not duct tape. it’s also not temporary and shouldn’t be removed -
Does the key open up The New Atlantis?

We have progress on the tower painting

I don’t particularly get it either. Just figured for $25 it may be worth it down the track in some way, and willing to risk that if it’s not. Yep, but village passes don’t get in park discounts

Yeah same, willing to spend the $25 for the potential of the thing. But won’t let me purchase.

Whatever it is, it doesn’t work.

Leviathan - Operations and Soft Opening Complaints
Brad2912 replied to Tricoart's topic in Theme Park Discussion
If you’re putting campaigns onto billboards interstate, bus shelters, train stations (all of which I saw last week in Sydney) you need a date. “Rising soon” doesn’t inspire anyone to book, and replacing all that marketing later with a set date doubles your costs. So you name a date and aim for it -

That’s not how marketing works, at all. You’re talking about a timeline of months. If you waited for commissioning to start that process you’d be opening months before you even have marketing activity in the public arena which when heading into the holiday season just isn’t possible. You name a date and do all you can to make it. -
Leviathan - Operations and Soft Opening Complaints
Brad2912 replied to Tricoart's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I wouldn’t haven’t lined up for hours on opening weekend or opening week. The same people lining up today, would have been the same people lining up in the “technical rehearsal” and would have had the exact same complaints and annoyance and frustration. Having a A-frame with “technical rehearsal” on it that 99% of people wouldn’t have read or even understood would have changed nothing -
Leviathan - Operations and Soft Opening Complaints
Brad2912 replied to Tricoart's topic in Theme Park Discussion
If you bought flights for a one day trip interstate solely to ride a coaster that is in the first few days of operation, you’re either too rich or a moron. if I see a billboard saying “Hamilton now showing in Melbourne” I don’t book flights on the assumption when I get there that tickets will be available for any date I choose to fly down. The advertisement is to peak interest and trigger you to look further into whatever is being advertised. By your account KFC billboards around the country should be pulled down at 10pm each night when the store closes incase someone shows up at 2am only to find the store closed when they wanted a zinger burger And how do you expect them to do this? As others have said it’s either open or it isn’t. Rehearsals happened with staff days ago. Some issues have arisen in opening days as cycles have increased, again it happens with new rides. Be disappointed if you line up and don’t get a go, but anyone being “pissed off” needs some perspective in life -
Typically they just ran it anyway when half the tech was not working. If things are broken I’d rather it not run tbh…

Does the Trident at Sea World operate in strong winds?
Brad2912 replied to themagician's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Was some crazy wind gusts yesterday. I wouldn’t want to be up there if they were to continue today -
It’s been incredibly successful. I think the name change is to reflect a greater level of partnership between the 2. We already know the wave swinger will operate at the markets, and the schnitzel outlet has been operating during it, as does the Lego store.

no such thing as a code for cheaper prices, aside from i think you get $5-$10 off by purchasing online. VTP did away with scoopon deals about 18 months ago.
