  1. Ermm... not really. The lights cut quickly between colours and don't fade into one another...
  2. Curious to know, I assume two-train testing for high capacity operations have begun?
  3. Could we see the instalment of a golden dolphin erected at Sea World too (like golden Bugs)? Doubt it, but perhaps that wall can be replaced by a golden dolphin (it'll make a great photo spot and liven up that entrance again).
  4. Like what magician said, the flood lights always had those colour capabilities. It just seems the operator probably selected the incorrect function.
  5. We never had an official opening date released for Taipan, let alone during September pieces of theming and what not were still going to place so it couldn't have "meant to open" then anyway. From what I've seen, the majority moved on past the 1 year delay given a late, very late-2021 opening is looming by...
  6. That was an excellent read. I do have to agree, even though Leviathan is still yet to open this summer at Sea World, all these other additions coming to both Village and Dreamworld parks should be enough to make this summer "the best summer ever" for the Gold Coast and the tourism industry. Not to mention the night events, the return of Dreamworld Express and Dreamworld's plans for the summer due to arrive these holidays also, looking forward to see how everything goes. Yeah, these two may miss the party: - Leviathan at SW - Trident at SW But we have these to make up for it: - New waterslides and water activities at WNW - Meerkats at PC - New studio showcase at MW - Revamped rides at MW - Opening of Steel Taipan at DW - Revamped Dreamworld Express - And the day and night events covering the course of the Summer Holidays...
  7. I like the wedding photo Elise from Upper Coomera uploaded, looks good!
  8. Judging from that image, it does look a little unfinished. And the space is very open, making it feel like things are missing. Perhaps when it opens and there's guests roaming throughout, it'll look better than it is now. I still can't get over how far queue railings are. It looks as if it won't hold as many people as the queue for Rivals or even Superman. I'd love to see an extension to the bottom of the ramp, given how empty it looks too (adding ride information signs there would probably improve the space a little). Also, the lead up to queue line seems to get a good view of the ride envelope. Intriguing seeing how close the brake run is to the physical queue line itself.
  9. The west side of drop is aiming for a October 15th reopening.
  10. Possibly... Soft open late-November/early or mid-December, then officially open late-December during their "best summer ever". Once Happy Halloween concludes, we'll hopefully see sneak peeks of the new Dreamworld Express, the final teasers of Steel Taipan, and the announcement of Dreamworld's plans for the summer holidays.
  11. From @themeparkqueenau on instagram, Steel Taipan's billboard (as referred to earlier):
  12. I would be pleased to see it modernised, but chances are extremely low. In a way, TOTII lives on in Steel Taipan's 2nd launch up the twisted halfpipe... Giant Drop has heaps of life left in it and there's no sign of it going anytime soon.
  13. I'm sure noah.creative on tiktok fits your criteria as stated above, but not too sure if they'll invite him. I mean, his drone content was featured on a Qantas ad but the airline decided to scrap the project altogether - the ad never took off. Won't be surprised if Trav (aka OzThrills) makes an appearance there too.
  14. Interesting to see the queue rails are aligned as they are. I fully understand the design of the queue itself, it was just a small part of me was wondering if it'll extend over the length of the entire ramp and take the appearance of what was displayed on the tender. The queue does look nice tho I must say. Such a shame the walls don't give any view of the launch.
  15. It's quite a considerable walk before you reach the physical queue line. I assume they'll install more rails and steel bars down from where it currently ends to the start of the ramp? And from what I'm seeing, are there four queue lines when you reach load? In no particular order; Q1 for main, Q2 for single riders, Q3 for Tailwhip and Q4 for Ride Express? Also, there's a new billboard advertising Steel Taipan if anyone hasn't seen it yet.
  16. Rivals second train better be active by easter - hell, even christmas holidays. It appears it still remains beside the superman launch track dismantled.
  17. They should keep "Tailwhip" and "Seat". 360, spinning - literally two terms you don't need next to each other. Colloquially, the seat can be referred to as Tailwhip Seat or Spinning Seat - either works.
  18. Low key a shame we won't be seeing a huge celebration of 50 years at Sea World, but given Spooky Nights will be running on the weekends, that should suffice.
  19. After Sea World's 50th and Dreamworld's 40th, who's the next big park to celebrate a milestone? Really taken aback by some of these milestones, particularly the big prize: 1971- 2021 Saturday 30 October 2021 Over 50 MILLION guests Over 20 THOUSAND animal rescues Over 30 THOUSAND team members employed Over 15 MILLION Burgers sold Visit on a Village Roadshow One Pass in the month of October for your chance to WIN UNLIMITED entry to Sea World for 50 YEARS!
  20. With Spring County fair officially coming to a close, I must say it was pretty good for what it was. The event presented itself quite nicely through my eyes. Good to see Dreamworld's car park full today as well, but in all honesty, 2/3 of it was probs guests visiting WhiteWater World. Really looking forward to the Summer holidays, can't wait for Dreamworld's "best Summer ever" with the opening of Steel Taipan and a free wOrLd clAsS show.
  21. After a good chat with some ride attendants at Movie World today, it seems highly likely that boats will stop on the loading platform. Apparently there's a second loading platform being built too (don't take my word for it). Attendants will load and presumably unload two boats at a time while the conveyor belt remains motionless during the process. 16 riders (2 boats) per dispatch I guess.
  22. Unless they have sliders very much exceeding 75kg, I don't see anyone making it out that far. Will those slides have sliders slide using a mat or tube? Perhaps those slides are for group riders?
  23. I've never seen such a long splashdown/exit flume/whatever it's called before...
