  1. I think Noodle was trying to gauge the size of the footprint, not the layout.
  2. It looks like there's new supports in the pic from above by @themagician - the orange circled areas. Also @Ryande16 see the long supports still on the ground? Looks like at least one more support yet to go in between the two highest points already standing.
  3. I agree @Inverted. The current track is twisting right and climbing towards the turnaround, so possibly leading into the altered version of Flash I posted above. Also a very rushed hack job to visualise it in Planet Coaster. Looking north from the Top Golf/Entertainment Rd area back towards the MW carpark:
  4. I wasn't thinking dive loop, but since the current track is twisting right and climbing, it's quite a possibility!
  5. In that regard, @rummy, I've been thinking a few things. 1) I can confidently match the two photos taken by @Theme Park Girl to the satellite photo. The full versions of her pics give triangulation points: The fence that is indented around a support footing outside of the fence, and the rocky drain outside the front fence (both circled orange and pointing in the direction of her photos). The rectangular concrete footings are the giveaways. Also, looking at Flash, the turnaround's supports get wider the higher it goes and turns. This would lead me to think the turnaround is a mirror of Flash's (therefore clockwise on the satellite photo), but the current track isn't marrying up to that unless it makes a tight left hand turn. Currently it's making a right hand twist above the orange machinery...
  6. At this point I don't care about an announcement or themeing. Seeing construction progress and us guessing what-goes-where is a very good distraction.
  7. Possibly, but that could have characters in the ride for a movie that might not be out for up to 12 months later. I'd like to see a Mystery Incorporated version this time, however I think the rights they have are still for the film versions.
  8. I think many on here have been looking very closely at Flash for a long while now, and the rest of us (myself certainly included) should as well.
  9. Yep, remember the photographer on a platform at Thunderbolt. [Edit: look at the right side of the bottom of the loop.] Later on they had a photographer in a structure like a covered lifeguard stand, on the both sides of Giant Drop. West side one is visible in this 2011 video, and East side in this 2010 video.
  10. @rummyA very methodical interpretation there. I agree with @AlexB, wrong or right you've been very detailed in your reasoning. I guess a request for those heading that way over the next few weeks - keep getting all those track & support numbers! I don't see myself down there (not with the family) until mid May now.
  11. In the photos posted over the last 4 days by others and I, you can see the point where the supports connect to the track is implying no turns, just a climb. In the picture you posted, the supports connect to the track on the side. This was talked about on page 126 of this thread. This said, it must make a right turn after the highest support in my photos, as it's very close to the front fence by this point. The height that it will be will ensure the turnaround will still be at quite some speed. The turnaround could very well be like the one @AllegroCrab mentioned in the Coaster design Comp.
  12. Does this pic help, @loki75? As I didn't ride GL yesterday I don't know. Was the space in the fence between the green theming facades? There is a small hole in the park wall gate between GL and JL, maybe big enough for a mobile phone to fit through? This was taken at wide angle, 18mm focal length, so as @themagician said you'd need to take station pics at over 200mm to get any detail if you're going to use this spot for photography.
  13. This afternoon light probably better reflects the track's actual colour. Now pics from the area I uploaded from my mobile at 3:30. Note part numbers were visible, and I have all my photos in much higher resolution if you want me to clarify. The pic below, all 3 grey poles connect together. The supports in the distance are either a lead in or lead out of the turnaround. There's a chance they'll connect to the climb in the next pics below. Just like the pic @Inverted just posted. Driving into the park and seeing the coaster coming at you is going to be a hell of a sight! Cherry picker used for untying straps? He was making clanking noises with whatever tool he was using, and not being gentle at all in there. Ah, thanks. They were unloading one this arvo though. Thing is with this pic I took earlier, I'm getting a much better appreciation of the speed this hyper will be pulling.
  14. I'll upload pics in batches. First group here are from about 10am, all taken from fenceline that runs from Green Lantern all the way back towards the new road (last row of the carpark): Lots of pieces now - foreground and background. Even more arrived during the day! Probably pieces already photographed - but since we're playing pin the numbers together, maybe a few clues in there for you. For those who haven't been during construction, here's a few "step back" pics of the area around the lift hill. Hopefully you can get a feel of where the construction fences go in relation to the hill and GL to the right. That base in the garden bed is massive, the support going onto that will be what, 50m high? Another hole in the fence, although not vehicle sized. After I took these pics, I went into the park. Took more as I left, I'll upload these shortly.
  15. The more I think about it, the more I agree with others above. It could be a post-loop climb or airtime hill approach. I was thinking zero-g roll because of the mounting points to the track, but looking closer they appear to be nothing like the ones in the image Skeeta showed. I was blown away by how many track pieces there are now, and there were another three containers being unloaded as I took pics on the way out. Just processing them now. @loki75, as I said above, this section is right next to the arch over the road as you drive in.
  16. I'm at the fence now - a support very similar to the ones in the zero G roll is now up. Where it is placed, I can't imagine this being for a loop as there is limited room to turn away after. There are 2 support areas now at the front - a smaller group near the turnaround, and the larger ones right alongside the driveway arch. Pics when I get home from my SLR, here's a few from my fruit phone:
  17. I'm here with the stepson so it's a case of family first, pics later. I have a dozen pics from my SLR, and will take more when we leave. As we were forewarned in this thread, the park is CHOKKAS today.
  18. There's some very twisty track pieces!! Had a quick look through the fence just now.
  19. A Zero-G roll could be a 'loop' to a construction worker unfamiliar with coaster elements...Flash has one. @AlexBTHANK YOU for the pics and explanation. I'm on leave from work atm, and am giving serious thought to driving down from Brisbane for an hour or three tomorrow. With the worker telling you track will be assembled tomorrow, I think there will be a few of us happy snappers to make up for you not being able to be there.
  20. UNITED AIRLINES themed coaster COMFIRMED. In seriousness, unless they're going to tear up the former driveway and build a decent queue, I can't see it being much different from GL.
  21. Of course if a RideOp was stupid enough to try and steal from a guest box, they'd do it in sight of another staff member and the whole next ride's guests lined up at the gates. Can't see it happening ever.
  22. It's certainly not a joke, and don't call me Shirley.
