  1. Check the date on that, I'm actually 14 now
  2. Sorry Slick, it was just such a perfect oppotunity to post that, I couldn't resist! I actually think it's inevitable that The Demon will pop up at Sunway Lagoon and be marketed as a brand new thrill ride. Anyone else think the same?
  3. The reason to the limited ride footage of DW was that my camera ended up dieing for the whole day (the "F02" error, to be exact). I apologise for that, but those videos are old. They suck, end of story! My Wonderland video is now online, but on a different site. Robb Alvey & Elissa White have awarded me an honorable mention for the video contest. Click here.
  4. Daniel, I was told by a few staff members late last year that I was making these comments that upset them. Is this true? I don't believe I made any offensive comments regarding management, only the state of things in the park. Surely they only took these comments as constructive?
  5. You'll be happy to know that my new Wonderland & Easter Show videos will be arriving at roller-coaster.com.au fairly soon. I know that Wayne's (thunder001) site used to have a few videos of the rides at Dreamworld, including an on ride of Thunderbolt. However, the name escapes me right now, so maybe Wayne can help you out on that one!
  6. Admittedly, I was dreading the return of this thread. Unfortunately due to Faller's pathetic cutting, some holes that were meant to be cut for the wheels to pop in weren't cut at all. I've been meaning to get dad to try and cut them for me, but work has been hell for him. If I can get ahold of him today construction will resume. If not, it'll be sitting there until he's available.
  7. ^ Dude, do you even know what you're saying?
  8. $7200 x 12 = $86400 - No idea where you got those figures from, it's not even close to the real answer (no mistake made by adding an extra 0 etc.). Does the Rainbow need petrol to operate these days? I'm never heard of such thing, unless you're talking about the trucks that travel the rides? I actually think our carnival rides are pathetic compared to what Germany has. Our collection consists of rusted old rides that are not trustworthy - I never ever feel safe on carnival rides, no matter who manufactured them. Carnies still set it up, I don't trust carnies. P.S Huss - I love how you mention Rainbow in 80% of your posts!
  9. How about "Fully Sick Stop"? He was just making a point, Daniel. No need to get fussed about something so small. Period.
  10. Could it be an Arrow Suspended Swinging Coaster? (Ninja at Six Flags Magic Mountain) Pictures here.
  11. Welcome to the boards. I have to disagree with everything you have said here. ING have done nothing wrong, they snapped up a brilliant deal and nothing else. If anything, you should be blaming Sunway for not making any attempt in saving the park (investing, selling the park to a theme park chain etc).
  12. Ask the ride operators, they seem to know a lot regarding re-riders etc.
  13. A bunch of my photos have been put up on the site (with the exception of some) of Wonderland. See them here. Also in coming weeks a 3 minute edited video of Wonderland will be added to roller-coaster.com.au
  14. Here are some of the photos from yesterday's visit. 1. Shows the crowd gathering together for the opening of the gates for the last day. At this time there was a MC getting the crowd pumped up. 2. Shows the great female dancer and the not-so-great male dancers as part of the entertainment for the day. 3. Shows Kevin's sign with the statistics of how many times he rode the rides etc. 4. Shows Andrew, Clint & I coming back from the last Bush Beast ride ever. Andrew is front left, Clint front right and I'm there in the back. Seems everyone can handle flashes except me, LOL!
  15. Today certainly was not the busiest it has ever been before. I would recount that 20k figure if I was you Shifty - Saturday night was much more crowded than today and I doubt the numbers hit over 20k. 5 ride operators on Bush Beast? There was no more than 2 there the whole day, you might've mistaken the rest for TV Crew/supervisors The sign which Kevin printed out is my avatar - I will post the larger version later tonight.
  16. Completely the opposite today. The train pretty much flew right through the trim, there was only a slight "tap". It was the fastest I've ever seen it running (yet it still delivered little air!)
  17. There should be another update tonight. Unfortunately, I've been way too busy to work on the model. Construction will resume as soon as I get off the internet
  18. I spent the day there today with Clint (DJ Rappa) & Andrew. Surprisingly, I'm not as sad as I thought I would be. The atmosphere at the park was brilliant, entertainment was even existant (some little kids show & a few dancers). Before the gates opened for the day, there was a M-C getting the crowd to scream and such. Anyway, now to the good bit... Clint, Andrew & I decided to try to get the last ever ride on Bush Beast. So we hung around the queue from 4-5pm. I was becoming more nervous as 5pm approached, as I was quite convinced that we would not get the last ride. So we all made a deal to ensure the last ride - we would all pay the op's $20. Thankfully, the line was closed off at 5pm, so we just placed ourselfs at the back of the queue and kept the $20 in our wallets. The last ride was insane, I think Clint will be better explaining how great it was I got a guy to take a picture of us in the train, will post that later. Farewell Wonderland! Liam

  20. Just came back from a mini-celebration I had at Wonderland with a few of my friends. The night was insane, I have NEVER seen such crowds. I ended up waiting 90 minutes for probe, one hour for Demon & 90 minutes for Bush Beast. I was eavesdropping on a conversation a person was having with a SP ride op, and he stated that they will be operating the ride past midnight to get everyone in the queue a go. He then stated that other than the Union Day, today was by far the busiest day ever. To "confirm" what some people have been saying, this operator also said that some rides (including Demon) will be going to Dreamworld.
  21. Why would they call it geyser? From dictionary.com... I think Tsunami would fit the ride well.
  22. ^ Thing on wheels that goes upside down?
  23. Thanks for the comments guys. Unfortunately due to an unexpected trip down south I have to delay construction until Thursday. Oh well, I prefer fishing off the warf than spending long, frustrating days glueing insanely small pieces together anyway!
  24. Wow, so much can happen in a day (interesting things always seem to happen when I'm away from home, as in this case - down the coast at the moment). That's pretty pathetic of Huss to get all touchy on a simple issue. I originally put the "Ten Ferris Wheel" as the caption (more technically, Richard did) since that's what it's pretty much called at the show. After all, it does have the huge Ten logo on it. But yeah, Clint's right... does it really matter who manufactures/operates the thing anyway? ... 'Nuff said, Liam
