  1. It's a theme park forum, for social discussions of the topic of theme parks. Relevant information is helpful, but pages of in depth technical details on the development process only causes people to skip your whole post. I was joking, I read the whole thing, what I was getting at was a small piece of advice to summarize such matter. I was attempting to be humorous about it, next time I'll be more clear.
  2. In sure that's all very thorough and relevant but honestly I tuned out about half way through. Waaaaay to much minute detail
  3. It's no accident that every single Disney E-Ticket has the station setup so that you see several groups board prior to your turn... As for Superman, you can see through the doors now so the gag is already ruined, may as well make them completed see through.
  4. For those discussing the outside appearance of the new sound stage. As I said ages ago it will look the same as the others as you can see here from the external cladding starting to be installed.
  5. I think the flaw in your timelines above is START. Pouring 1 footing is starting, then you have however long the build takes. As for design, changes to subtle parts of the layout, elements wouldn't affect the overall approval of a ride so you could basically make refinements after the approval. Without knowing for sure, but judging on US parks I'd say design and fabrication of a coaster would take at least a year for a custom non clone design.
  6. Very valid points Alex. To answer your question no, I wouldn't always think it was good. I'd never even thought of it until you mentioned it and it go me to thinking that I actually feel one at DW in that location would be very cool. It needs to be a proper zip line, not the ridiculous effort at WnW. You would need to do the proper market research and work out the return vs the cost but I'd be all for it. DW has enough attractions that justify why an upcharge is ok with me. Not that you get the dollars or numbers but I sat and worked out how much money the Vegas attraction was pulling in per hour and it was a scary high figure.
  7. Sorry, patience is a virtue guys, we'll all just have to bide our time, which please be prepared may be a long time still! Id love to talk about it as much as you would like to hear about it. Sadly neither is happening anytime soon.
  8. Kicking and screaming and stamping your feat in a trantrum is not going to get someone to reveal secrets just because you want them to. There are several members of parkz that know what is happening, all of them are allowed to know, but not allowed to tell anyone. Saying what is coming is great, is not revealing anything about the project. You will just have to wait until the project is announced or someone without a confidentiality contract comes to parkz with the information.
  9. Actually I'm all for an upcharge vs a SBNO attraction. I'm actually thinking about it and I really don't think I'd hate a Zip Line all the way from Gold Rush down to the Wildlife Area. You'd have to raise the departure point up quite a bit because both stations are probably the same height at present. But me personally, I would pay to ride it if they put it in. Sorry Alex but this 'dumb' idea actually has me interested for once.
  10. You know what, after seeing the show tonight in pretty sure the pyro has now been moved behind the lights and elevated which would say to me maybe they did have an issue. As why else would they move it mid run? As for the park, can't say enough good things from my visit today. Beat Box I think is a great night time addition. And also after seeing it I re-instate my earlier comment that there is 100% no way that show could be done with a DJ playing live
  11. Superman's maintenance area pretty much is the transfer track so that's the easy part. The problem is every train has extensive daily safety checks. There is no point doing those if you're not going to use the train. So if you decide to use the train in the middle of the day, you first have to get those checks done. It might take an hour, so not worth it if the ride just gets busy for a while. Thats if the train even exists. Every 2 years all trains/cars are stripped down and fully re-built which takes months so there will be parts of the year a second train is not available.
  12. Basically they were both family owned and the families decided to take the money and sell out to developers. Both operators were getting older and I guess they saw better return in selling as land than as a going concern. The council had no spine at that stage and allowed the rezoning of the land for residential which they never should. End result is you now have a tourist town still trying to attract families which in reality has no attractions to visit! Sadly the development didn't go ahead so now Fantasy Glades sits there to rot. You wouldn't know Peopermint Park existed.
  13. To explaind on alexB's comments. I don't know anything about any anniversar plans but hey it would make sense if they could. But I would think about the fact that it obviously closed and stayed closed for a reason. Whatever that reason was can't be a small minor detail so removing that reason obviously would take a lot of planning, testing, design, fabrication, installation, testing, adjusting, rebrabrication when it likely doesn't all work first go, certification and then opening. Thats YEARS of full time work, and given this is likely a bit of a side project, maybe more.
  14. I can say that I know work was done on the ride after the date that was mentioned. Thats all
  15. Well I can tell you guest services information was then in fact inaccurate.
  16. Don't think we've ever had such a great response out of making fun of a bunch of posters
  17. Did we just have half a dozen posts about the title of the thread?
  18. It also cost YEARS to build so that's a lot of labour. And whilst the ride layout doesn't make much use of it there is a lot of theming within storm itself.
  19. No offense mate (which we all know means I'm about to cause dorm) but the way you talk about the parks, the coasters and especially the other people in the parks makes you sound like a complete ass hat.
  20. Judging any project before its done is just a stupid thing IMO. It's no wonder enthusiasts get a bad rap. All I see on her lately is people wanting to criticize the parks and even have a go at members who don't.
  21. Looks like Dreamworlds new virtual queuing system will be identical to Six Flaggs
