Yep correct. Used to be dressing rooms etc up there back in Maverick days. The stairs were in the Show Stage proper but the rooms above the 'facade' building.

Yeah that's why it's the bomb because it's so re-rideable. I actually did it no joke 80 times one day. And because it is the prototype and it was built with a way more grunt in the launch system than it needs so still the most forceful launch. The other thing that makes it awesome is it has the original Intamin seats which are ridiculously open Just one of those rides that makes you smile.

Yes I think a nice mix of shade/broken sunlight with palms etc is nice. It's Perth and the sun is hot as, the ambient temp is more than enough to make the cool water pleasant with out beating sunshine on you. FWIW I'm a bit over the posts that go the route of "NO I PERSONALY DONT LIKE THIS SO NO ONE SHALL HAVE IT. YOU ARE ALL WRONG." Each to their own, the park caters to a wide variety of people, not just on or two parkz members who wouldn't have even visited the park.

Whilst no way would get a 4D due to build and maint costs slick is right about size. As as you drive into SFMM X is still the most impressive structure at the park visually

Many people who have the right to form a decent judgement regard original Ghostrider as the best coaster the world. If it is restored to that point (which many say it will be) Id say it will be a serious contender for top spot again. That being said Dollywood has a nifty little number opening this year too!

I'm in the minority when I say forget lazy river for transport. Saying that I would say I'm also in the minority that I've also been to parks who use one for such. It sounds great on paper but in reality it's impractical. So many people take their towel with them around a water park. How do you keep it dry on a lazy river? I know splash cash type money systems are getting better use but people often take their wallet to buy food so that's out too. They just don't really work. Build yourself a nice area, lagoon section at WnW Gold Coast is great. Have a kick ass huge crowd soaking lazy river that's pleasant to spend a while in. I'm also a big fan of a beverage outlet in a nice landscaped area like this, if you can license it even better. Parents love a place to hang out while the kids go ride. This is the perfect area for that.

Cept you can hear the lift motor all the way over at Outback Spectacular! but yes as arkham uses a friction anti rollback it lacks the noisy anti rollback dogs of say Hot Wheels.

It's interesting. If its permanent then I'm with slick on finding a better location. If all of this is temporary then WAY TO GO Dreamworld for doing such a good job on a temporary setup.

OMG Push you make my head hurt. Perhaps they can build the world's best museum on monorail technology from the 80s? For the rest of us we know it's a coaster, because the DA is in for a coaster. As for the studios, don't worry about the productions, they come and go and even a 'permanent fence' being built and removed is small change for a major film budget. For all we know the fences are to keep the film academy peeps out!! The outdoor tank usually films at night if sound is an issue, because as someone mentioned the park and M1 noise are significant anyway. However most shots done there are big exteriors and sound isn't a focus.

Fencing has happened a few times. Same thing when Disney was in for Pirates. I wouldn't read too much into things there. Studios security and nothing new really, comes and goes with productions.

Seems this is going to go the way of the recent Dreamworld construction where everyone made up their minds on whether they liked it or not before it was even finished (or started in this case). And yes as was previously stated I highly doubt this was what was referred to with the "world's best" statement. So perhaps stay tuned...

Did anyone read what Slick said? Can't believe the ride type is still being debated and people are still saying it's coaster.

But were they labeling themself as a DJ? I'm pretty sure they were saying they were a dancer. I just don't get why everyone is so up in arms that someone was pretending to be a real DJ when at no time do I believe they ever said they were a real DJ.

I really have no issue with the museum. WAY back in the day the park at Giltraps Auto Museum. Its just another attraction at what is meant to be a THEME park. Doesn't have to all be rides. When we visited we spent half hour checking it out, and if it's nothing more than an air con area with eating in a nice enough setting and soaks up people for half hour what's wrong with that.

Why is everyone so angry at the DJ? jusy think of them as a performer in a show and not as a DJ. They are playing the PART of a DJ and I think it made perfect sense in the context of the show.

Looked at years ago and it didn't happen so I'm guessing we'll never see that eventuate.

Expect the CO2 cannons to last about 3 months due to how expensive CO2 effects are to operate. Can't see it being sustainable, would sooner see something realistic for long term.
