  1. It's gotta be big right? Announcing a new ride for an Australian park at the European expo doesn't make much sense otherwise
  2. This has always been a problem for both WnW and WWW. Most Life Guards were hired seasonally even when they operated year round
  3. Same honestly, why waste hundreds of thousands of dollars on extra themed exterior panels for an angle barely anyone will be able to see from inside the land. We also don't know if they have any plans for something back there that the train might be able to see. Maybe they can put a glass viewing window into the Tiger enclosure?
  4. The land directly across the road from WWW has been for sale for decades, I don't think a lot of businesses want to be immediately next door to something as loud as a theme park and people definitely don't like living next to them
  5. Wayback machine has a snapshot of the page from the 24th of August where it doesn't say this, everything else after is the same. They do mention the daily presentation below all the tiger information still
  6. Except for them blocking off almost the entire Kangaroo area as a rest area where guests aren't allowed. I also no longer see Koala holding as an option on their website
  7. Oh please, the local media have always been in a fight with each other to be the first to report any ride stoppages even before the Dreamworld accident. Bikash bringing it up does nothing but harm the entire industry and make himself out to be a petty prick who still seems mad that all so many people followed Greg to Dreamworld when he moved over there
  8. Oh cool a discussion thread about something new at the parks! Let me just scroll through the petty argument that happens in every thread between the same people to actually get to what I came here for! Anyway, this sounds like a great investment for the park, assuming the food matches the quality of the theming. It looks like they've gutted the entire building so hopefully that means a new kitchen where they can cook actual meals instead of the usual quick service menu
  9. More theming photos from Dreamworld's Instagram https://www.instagram.com/dreamworldau/p/C_APOfeN78z/?hl=en&img_index=1
  10. If Scooby doesn't reopen its game over for them IMO, they cant afford that backlash
  11. I would hazard a guess the track is in such a state of disrepair that they need to remove it for safety reasons? It surely requires some sort of ongoing maintenance to ensure it doesn't collapse so if there's no chance of it returning they should remove it ASAP.
  12. But they also have to move guests off the street to do the parade, they would need to have extra team members to walk in front of the vehicle to make sure guests don't get hit and for such a low capacity vehicle I just can't see village doing it
  13. Fright Night is better for night rides to me because of the mazes, they draw a lot of the crowd. Dusk is not the same as riding properly at night, the sun has not completely set at 5pm even in winter. Also with Sea World & Dreamworld also running night events on Halloween its even quicker than White Christmas where only MW is open. I'm not saying it isn't possible, just that I have no interest in standing in line for that long to walk through a dark foggy building (maybe if my eyes were better it would be more enjoyable). More power to you if that's your thing
  14. They really need as many as they can to reduce queue times IMO, I've personally never done more than 1 in a night because I actually want to get on rides and they aren't worth paying extra for the skip the queue
  15. Surely not after getting the new Vekoma trains and just recently moving the operators panel over to the other side of the station
  16. Wouldn't surprise me if we didn't see it open until the end of the year, updates to the circuitry/software for the sensors aren't a simple change and I doubt Sea World are at the front of the SBF Visa's priority list
  17. Your link only says October 12th / 18th to 19th / 25th to 26th
  18. They have been involved heavily in both Dreamworld and Village parks for over a decade, they even reference Parkz on their New Atlantis page
  19. The part that's in the shadow looks a lot more 3D to me
  20. Theming has started going up on the outside of the temple structure. The Tiger Island angle still looks largely the same as the most recent photos in the thread.
  21. Stopped by after work and had to sit at the roundabout for 25 minutes just to leave, but here's a photo where you can see both in one, hard to get a decent angle of both at once though
  22. Fingers crossed it ends up being more reliable. I still have yet to ride it despite wanting to every time I've been to Sea World
  23. My bad I didn't think I needed pictures because what's the point in me lying about it? But I guess we'll see when someone like Ogre checks it out
