  1. No. With a vertical loop there will be an actual 95 degree slope of more than a metre than only several inches on a pearl drop loop.
  2. A vertical loop will much more like a circle than a tear drop like the loop on the Cyclone.
  3. Ocean Parade is still several metres away, maybe 20 or so, which means it's not really Ocean Parade at all really. And if you saw the sign, you'd understand mate. ("we live in Australia pal!" Simpsons) .....where did that come from? Anyway, there were two options for a name, CLiff Hanger (which was dumped) and The Claw, and judging by the very obvious sign, i'd say it would be the claw, okay?
  4. Went down to the big DW today, pretty packed, oooooohhhh and guess what? (rhetorical question there...) They now have a really big sign saying ultimate thrill ride coming soon with claw marks (I guess it is going to be called the Claw, go figure.) Unfortunately my photos won't be in for a while (Sunday maybe) but watch this space.
  5. Well at least we're not the only ones who know anymore: http://www.thecouriermail.news.com.au/comm...5E17102,00.html
  6. Sadly today Kinook had to be put down because of her illnesses (stated in the last thread about kinook). more at news.com.au
  7. Well it looked like you would've had a fantastic time.... Maybe we need one of them for our ozzie parks?
  8. Sooo it's a joke?? Sorry, rough day...... Sooooooo...... who wants to Dreamworld on Friday or Saturday??? Serious?
  9. Oooohhhh maybe I should've said something earlier but within the next 4 years Blue Lagoon will be upgraded...... Happy?
  10. 2 posts and you came up with that? Don't worry, TWO POSTS EVERYONE!!!!! ....I'd like to see your website....
  11. Biggest ride ever, queue line takes over 1000 people -Project Dimension Lsm coaster - Launch zone biggest non-inverted b&m - vanilla blue lots more but i'm tired....
  12. Kind of like DW's highway billboards..... well too late to tell WL about this now.....
  13. Especially their Gyro Swings! Hey, are we the only ones on tonight apart from bus?
  14. but inside the tower it's all squares!
  15. It's their age difference. The big one is ten years old and was in an era where not many people knew there was a difference between steel and wooden coasters. Now X is a different story. If you notice that the space between each support is the same then yet the structural changes (that is different use of traingles hehe, and steel guage) is different because the X trains are heavy, damn heavy whereas B&M trains are very light-weight, did i mention they were VERY light-weight? But it's also about designer. Arrow like lots of triangles using lots of small steel whereas B&M like big steel with little or no design (well not none, but compared to Arrow...) Oh and Intamin like squares apart from their actual track, which is more of an isoceles triangle thingy.... But look at the Tower of Terror, nothing but squares... Man maybe I should've wrote this after my headache went away...
  16. Now that's cool.... So is that photo graphically enhanced with the F1 or was the actual car really placed on? Because with a smaller, lighter and shorter train )or car in ths matter) it has a much higher chance of rollbacks (do I need to remind anyone of Windjammer?)
  17. Well that was kind off right... Dreamworld does increase staff during the busy periods (do I need to state them or do we all know by now?) but casually during the weekends if there is an empty queue line (like the GD last weekend) they move the staff to where it is needed until there is an increase in the people who onto ride the ride, walk the walk, whatever.
  18. Just thought i'd let you guyz know (even though it might be too late, bugger) that Shark Bay will be on Getaway tonight at 7:30.....
  19. Let's move back, what is Virtual queuing? I know slightly about Disney's fast pass, but not too much.....
  20. Me!!!!! Muahahahahahaha..... And the ride count for TOT is now over 70!!!!! Not that it's important... Apparantly there is one guy who goes to Dreamworld at least 3 days a week, so i'm guessing he holds a couple of records, but not officially. There is a couple of admin and ride-ops who know about people like myself who spend days riding the one ride because of either they're just fead up with the other rides, the weather has kicked in (not good if you want to break the record for most rides on the Skyrail) or queue lines are just empty for some unknown cosmic force. That happened to me the other weekend actually. I was playing a game with some of the ride-ops i know, "let's see how many rides I can get on the TOT in one hour, then break it!" Man you should've seen the souvenir salesmen when after my 15th go, "man, those sleeping photos are great!"
  21. For no particular reason, I was looking through what exactly happened with the Chernobyl-4 disaster in 1986, and found Richard's name in it: http://www.kiddofspeed.com/chapter2.html PS: you have to look at the photo!
  22. I also have to disgust with Dreamworld's unevident efficiency. Last Saturday when I visited, because of lack of staff, the Giant Drop was only running with the west side only!! I kept asking the Ride-op and we both agreed that it was just pathetic. And here's a bit of dirt aswell for anyone interested, The two TOT elevator shafts which were used as part of the queue line before nick central, were stopped because it would require another operator....... Oh yeah and by the way photos up tonight!
  23. speaking of which, i have found this: http://bigbrother.ten.com.au/default.asp?section_id=17
