  1. College? What do you meant paul, are you changing to a good school for your last 2 years?
  2. And they asy the Alton Towers locals are bad.
  3. Here are a few of those sketches: The first is for Vertigo, a floorless tilting gyro drop, as you enter the queue you wander through a mountain expedition base camp, past parked snowmobiles and other equipment, the queue would also go through tents in the camp, the queue would reach an ice cavern and this is where the loading area would be, guests would be told they were beggining their final climb to the sumit, they would load in and be pulled to the top, but at the top loudspeakers would play the sound of a gust of wind and a fan system would gust onto the cars, at that moment the ride would drop, so it would be like you ahd been blown off the summit. The second ride is The Power of Tiamat, The babylonian goddess of chaos, the queue winds its way through the streets and buildings of bablylon, with the track twisting and turning above, awnings would add to the theme and stop any stray loose objects, at the station the riders would load in and Tiamat "unleashes her chaos" The lift goes straight out of the station and into a great bear style first drop into a trench, then comes a zero g roll and then a wraparound corkscrew. Riders are then whipped up into a vertical loop and around an overbanked turn befre beeing hurled around a imellmann and a u turn and into the brakes. The ride would make use of near misses with the buildings.
  4. I dont know why you would hate a whole coaster type because of just one dodgy ride, if they are well maintained they are lots of fun. Of the mouse coaster that I have ridden, Crazy Mouse (or is it Crazy Coaster?) is my favourite, the two sets of switchbacks are fun and the spin really adds to the ride.
  5. Here is another one of my Theme park designs, It is called "Docklands City" And would be located on Footscray Rd near where the Southern Star Wheel will be. The park has 6 themed areas: McSqeakys Factories, An Intermediate ride area themed around a wacky factroy and its wacky machines, Babylonia, an area with rides centered around Ancient Babylon, Jungle Jam, a rainforest kids Area, Stony Habour, An English fishing village with a variety of rides, Scream Sector, an extreme thrill area themed to Various monsters taking over the area, and blizzad Valley, an area with rides themed to various snow activities. The park also has a 1600 sq/m entrance piazza. The park would have an Emphasis on Quality over Quantiy with its attractions. The park also has nice wide paths to help with the crowds. The rides are: 1) Lunatic Lever – Interactive rides sky skater 2) Wacky Waterworks – Flume 3) Spinsanity – Maurer Sohne SC3000 4) Crazy Cogwheels – Zamperla Telecombat 5) The Beast – Intamin Accelerator 6) Exterminator – Sally Interactive dark ride 7) The Vice- Topspin 8) Carnivore- Huss Jump 9) Iceberg Iceboats – Bumper Boats 10) Half pipe – Ride Trade Half pipe 11) Snowball Fight – Breakdance 12) Vertigo – Floorless tilting gyro drop 13) Trailblazers – Zamperla Jeeps 14) Parrot Chase – Vekoma Junior Coaster 15) Bug Off! – Zamperla Crop Duster 16) The Green Tree frog – Zamperla Jumping Star 17) Treetop Flyer- Zamperla Barnstorm 18) Rafts, Rapids ‘n’ Rocks – Dry boat Waterslide 19) Temple Of the Gods – Vekoma Madhouse 20) The Power of Tiamat – B&M inverted coaster 21) Ocean Adventure – Intamin Simulator 22) SS Green cheek – Zamperla Rocking Tug 23) Sea Storm – Ride trade double hammer 24) Bilge Water Barges – River Rapids 25) Monkey Business – Kids Play Area Future attractions might include a Mack Boblsed, An Intamin Super Splash and a Zeirer Star Shape thrill ride. If anyone has any suggestions for better names for things and comments, post them up. If i get time a i may also post up some sketches of how some of the rides would look.
  6. Yeah, like just have your ear facing the direction of what you want to take a picture of, and just shoot, but then again they might take your mobiles off you or ask for them to be off.
  7. Could shots be taken from the Servie Centre with red rooster, I remember being able to see Demon from there.
  8. A wild mouse coaster is characterised by tight turns and sharp drops, and are usually smaller and more compact than other sorts of coasters, The thrills come from the feeling of going off the tracks on the turns, the more sudden changes in G Force on turns and drops and the headchoppers from the supports. Mouse coasters also dont use trains, but rather single cars that hold either 2 or 4 passengers. Once thing all wild mouse coasters seem to have is a zig zag section at the top. besides providing lots of those "running off the track" moments, they also are where block brakes are.
  9. We could have a volcano: the blast coaster clone????? That would have been so cool, I remeber on a promo video they showed on today tonight there was also going to be a gyro drop. Well, at least there is proof that a prk in melbourne is viable if someone like Paramount were planning it. do you have a scanner or acess to one, Id be interested in seeing a plan for how the park could have been.
  10. No, I think you misunderstood me, People were saying that they should continue the Ocean Parade theme on to whatever attractions are being built on the TB site, I was just saying that the Ocean Parade themed area was big enough as it is and that new rides shouldn't have an ocean theme as it means a large percentage of the ride part of the parks theme would be ocean, and thats too much, you need variety in the types of themed areas.
  11. I remeber paramounts park plans ad docklands, it would have been great, but why did it fall through.
  12. Isnt Ocean parade big enough as it is, why not do a whole new theme and start a new area, or is DW doomed to become just a SW with more rides?
  13. The reson they might try a new park is so they have a clean slate to work with, also, I dont think BLs area would be big enough to build a park to go well against say WnW. If it is completley new then it would look more novel from the public perspective. The land in that area could then be used for dry park purpouses. Would a waterpark built by DW have to be built on DWs land anyway? It could be down the road for example and be seperate, and named something like "Dreamworlds Water City" Then DW could then have their own product to compete with the 3 park super pass, prehaps offering one day at DWs waterpark and 2 days at DW.
  14. There is actually a hatch you open if that happens from what I have read.
  15. This would be the ride in question. There are none about now since tha park where it was has shut down.
  16. I think that DW would be more fun, just because a park is small doesnt make it bad. And SF may have more than 1 train on many of its coasters, but they dont always use them. I think Richard might be better placed to do the comparison.
  17. The White Water Flumes I think their name were Bombora, Pipeline, and 2 more i cant remember.
  18. They have already done a snow themed waterpark at Disney, Blizzard Beach.
  19. Oh Liam you scallywag ol' chap. One thing i have heard about the ride was that it will have three barrel rolls in a row. I wonder what it will have instead of a top-hat though, maybe a big overbanked turn. Or maybe the will do a trench and have the track drop into it, then have a small kanonen style top hat. I am looking foward to seeing how this ride turns out.
  20. I was talking about having tropical plants at this possible DW boomerang bay. All I was saying is I hope its not tacky like the American ones.
  21. Well, I meant that it could be Australian, but less tacky. What about a wave pool, but the area around it could be like a real australain beach, there could be a couple of red and yellow flags, those high seats where the lifsavers sit, and maybe a building inspired by a surf club building somewere at the front of the wave pool area. You could also have a daintree rainforest type area, with natural looking slides that wind their way past ferns and palms, with misters. Or what about modeling some pools on some other australian locations, like the 12 apostles for example. All they did at boomerang bay is just got a few brightly coloured stock waterslides and stuck a bad name on them, and I certainly hope they dont do something so tacky.
  22. If DW does get a Boomerang Bay I hope it isn't as tacky in terms of theme compared to the Boomerang Bays in the U.S. Why is it when something is given an Aussie theme they instist on filling it with cliches that only apply to a small amount of the Australian people. If they do stick with an Aussie theme they should put some thought into it and actually make it properly australian, for example by using lots of australian native plants and naming rides better instead of things like Bondi Pipeline or Coolongatta Falls.
  23. Mine would be: Intamin Accelerator B&M dueling invert B&M floorless B&M flyer CCI woodie Huss Giant Top Spin Ride Trade Gyro Swing Intamin Super Splash Ride Trade Floorless Tilting gyro Drop Ride Trade Halfpipe Ride Trade Inverted Double Hammer Intamin Hyper
  24. We have a similar sort of person that comes to my work every day, but he is never bad or anything, he is just a simple little man who enjoys a bet, so he always takes the racing section out of the newspapers we provide for customers.
  25. From what i know about the new slide, it will be made of fibreglass, and it will use a hydrogen and oxygen blend to lubricate the slide surface, the ride may have metal supports, but I am awaiting confirmation. Also, this new ride will be available for visitors to ride at no extra cost.
