  1. And anywy, id hardly call a 6 or & or even an 8 looper an enthusiast only ride, there are plenty around and they are popular. An enthusiast ride would be something like TTD but with like 11 inversions and tons of airtime hills etc, and I would not expect any park to build a ride like that. I just want a coaster comparable to the rest of the world, i mean there is a park in Taiwan with 2 B&Ms.

    My Coasters

Black nova - really just TTD, but with an inside top hat and brakes that dont stop the train properly in the unload station. Also, no need for the brakes at the start of the launch to be so long, and it should have a complete stop for about 5 seconds. Raptor Vengance- a nice fast layout, but whats with the 90m long oddly shaped u turn transport section after the final brakes, it was unnecesarry when you could have just had the final brakes parallel with the station, and a u turn only about 15m long. Also, im not too sure how comfortable the passengers would be going down the top hat in the riding position involved with a motorbike coaster. An OK attempt though. Corkscrew Classic- Launched start was cool, it left you wondering, but the ride detierorated after that, it wasnt heartlined, it had support collisions, gs were out of the green in some spots (keep them in the green except for positive vertical gs which can go to the yellow) The corkscrews were mis-shaped. The mid course brakes were curved, they should be perfectly straight. There were missing supports on the first drop and on the loop twist thing before the mid course brakes. Also, the final brakes shall not have friction wheels, in real life there are none because they would get chewed up quickly. Fireball - a good go at an impulse, probalby the best attempt of the four.
  3. Yeah, the next ride might be a family one, which is why my Whirlwind coaster idea is such a good one . People drive across (or rather up) the country to visit theme parks here too and for the some people, you might say its a once in a lifetime trip, a fair percentage of the GCs parks visitors would have to be holiday makers. What i was saying above was more saying that scott shouldnt be so intimidated by a 6 inversion or 7 inversion ride.
  4. I said two 32 passenger trains, 2 times 36 is 64 and 64 divided by 15 is 4.266666 so i rounded that back to 4, i was right. How can you really say that you dont like too many inversions, what big multi loopers have you ridden, i think i remember you saying a while back you hadn't been to any parks out of Australia. Yeah, I wouldnt really want coaster after coaster, i would rather just a few good ones, like what AT has done. And anyway, if you cloned raptor you could pick your own colours, and it has only one more inversion that LW, i think most of us could endure that extra one, we are after all, a forum of coaster fans who would ride anything.
  5. I reckon that a freefall would be good, but a space shot might be better than the fair worn out SP, it would be better to just pay a bit extra and get a new one. They could put scream guards on the restraints and although they ruin the ride a bit, i wouldnt mind them if it meant the ride could be installed.
  6. is it infant animals, like a fish nursery where you see all the cute little sharks?
  7. coaster crazee, just warning you now to spell the normal way as you will get in trouble for spelling in chat shorthand, and anyway, the community guidelines say that you have to spell correctly, and by becoming a member you agreed to the terms and conditions to do that. But anyway, welcome aboard. So is there anymore news on the new ride, are we going to be soaring over a fishbowl with smells being pumped in in a few months time?
  8. Nah, raptor would be a better ide to clone (since it already has been) And Neb, the coaster you are thinking of is at Saakanemmi Amusement Park in Finland, it doesnt have zero g rolls, but rather heartline rolls which look rather cool, incuding an underground one above the underground station with a footchopper on the roof. But I love the colours on tornado, the silver track and the red and yellow trains remind me of a sports car. The only problem I have with intamin loopers is the excessive train length, B&M trains are much shorter but hold more people so at least the view is better and the station length is smaller.
  9. Far from the truth, as I have said before, Hydra the revenge at DP is costing the equivalent of $18 million AUD, that is just $2 million dollars more than the TOT, and you are getting 5 inversions and a layout almost one kilometer long, and I bet if it were for DW they could get away with a 7 inversion layout which would make it less than $18 million. It could be even cheaper if it were a clone (which in this case I dont really care about since their layouts were good in the first place) Plus you get two 32 rider trains (over four times the seating capacity of TOT, plus a ride time over 2 minutes (around four times the ride time of TOT) I think its excellent value. But at this point in time an intamin looper would be more likely, which is nothing to be sneezed at.

    DW hoverbike

Here is my idea for that DW hoverbike coaster for the model T lane site, it would wrap around the tot launch and it takes up roughly 40 x 100m. There a two sets of parallel beams that run the length of the ride area, this would be two possible places the tot launch track would be in relation to the ride, i gave the tot track an overhead clearance of 3.5m minimum, and the TOT launch runs four meters above the ground, it this accurate? Its for NL by the way. enjoy
  11. Another good idea, it has a unique riding position that they could market and I think it would be good, only problem is that it wouldnt have a zero g roll since B&M dont use them on stand ups. Also, what did eveyone think of the ideas i put up toward the start of this thread?
  12. There is enough space to do them fine for 7 years at least, even more if they dont do a new ride, plus, they can always eat into the carpark. As [art of the Coomera town center they could build a multideck and another park entrance so people would park there instead. BPB is an example of a park with little space but they do fine. I mean, if DW are prepared to whack down their newest ride in the middle of a footpath its safe to say they will continue buliding that way, plus, they can always ditch rides.
  13. so your saying tht breaking your ribs, your collarbone, getting cuts and bruises nd gashing your leg isnt serious?
  14. Well, an out and back layout can be pretty compact, maybe just a strip of land about 10 meters wide or so with a space up each end for the turnaround and the station. But the strip of land needs to be long, something like goliath at SFH would be good.
  15. What about an Intamin 8 or 10 looper clone, I think most of us would be more than happy with that. Or an intamin invert would be good too, I love their newest invert, Tornado. A hyper could be good, but where to put it?
  16. What about Narwhals? To add more fuel to the fire about adding new rides to be like SW in the US (which as Joz mentioned is not really true) then prehaps we should be trying to be more like Sea Paradise in Yokohama. Its got lots of rides and animals together,
  17. Give it up slick, its not gonna happen, B&M dont make launches and with the cable snapping problems being experienced by TTD and Xcellerator, it will be last thing they will do. Gravity fed is just fine, and anyway, where would the hydralic motor go, it would need to be above the track which would be too hard, plus a turn would be needed straight away after the launch so the cables could run to the motor. you could do it on your back but that would be little fun. I reckon a woodie should go at rocky hollow as an out and back layout along the side of the log ride up toward the back of the park, a woodie would fit the american wilderness theme of that part of the park. I would lean toward an intamin plug and paly woodie because you wouldnt need the twister GCI trains, plus, i nver liked how they have the bed-head on the front of the train.
  18. Yeah, i suppose the ride system for a vekoma 10 looper would be similar to cyclone, which is why a floorless coaster is the way to go, you get the long term quality, plus a riding position that is well marketable, in this situation i wouldnt care if DW wrote the biggest ride marketing spiel ever because it would be a cool ride and the twisting turning layout would ahve a high visual impact, its so cool when you see a coaster and its hard to tell where everything is going, premiers LIM bowls are a prime example of this. So Richo, with this high captacity ride you would like to see, what sort would you most like and how would you theme it, since this is what the topic is about.
  19. But it combines two great things, fun, as in rides and food, everyone likes something nice to eat, imagine if they made a food theme park with just heaps of food to eat.
  20. Yeah, a Vekoma 10 loop would be good, with the new train design and also the world record of 10 inversion ride, it would be great.
  21. I have already tried a coaster using only the thunderbolt land, and it was good, It had a loop, interlocking corkers, a zero g and a dive loop, and a layout like that would be still pretty fun, so why use more space than you need to. I was thinking of using the land behind bumper bowl for a large boat water ride.
  22. Yeah, its all clicky and stuff, but kind of hollow. So you want a woodie, but what about specifics, eg location, theme, layout.
  23. Yeah, zero gravity already gives you that funny feeling down there, imagine riding it in the nude.
  24. Neb, I regards to a kumba type ride, I wont work since ther isnt enough space, have a look at the Thunderbolt 2 track I posted nad that shows just about how much you could do with the site. My Idea for the thunderbot repalcement coaster is volcanic themed, where you are using the coaster as a means of escape, but the heat of he volcano has melted and warped the tracks (hence the twisty layout). It would form part of "The disaster zone" where rides from the four elements meet together, and this ride would be the fire element ride. (cyclone is the wind element ride). The earth element themed ride would just be a spin and spew, and the water element themed ride would be like an intaim shoot the chute, its simple, fun and wet, and it would have a flood theme. Now, for my Ideas for the Model T site Redevopment:It would be an X sector meets futuristic style area.It would have modern buildings using industrial look building materials, eg exposed concrete, exposed air conditioning ducts, stainless steel etc. GD would have a new ramp into the area with a proper grand entrance, I was thinking a 1.5 x 7m steel panel with the words “GIANT DROP” laser cut out of it and a silhouette the GD logo cut out of it. TOTs queue path would go into the area too, it would begin in the area, up a ramp over the end of main street where it meets river town, running parallel to the launch track with a Perspex screen so you can get a look at the ride while entering, it would then go back down to ground level an continue to the skull. It could be like a walk of doom. A new ride for this area could be a Vekoma motorbike coaster; themed to be like you are riding on a futuristic flying “Hover bike” on a skyway. The launch would be parallel to the TOT launch, with the track winding around the tower and through the themed area and back to the station. The colours would be metallic greys and silvers, with a stripe of electric blue on the ride vehicles. Along the course would be warning signs with pictograms of futuristic warnings. There could also be billboards, with advertising using DWs sponsors, adapted to suit the rides future theme, eg; “Coca Cola, now in an automatic bottle” or “Qantas, now flying to Alpha Centurai 3 times a week”, think the sort of adverts you would see in Futurama, but clean. Warp gates and short translucent tunnels would complete the rides total theme. The new area would also have a good flat ride to round the whole package off, perhaps a chance double inverter with a robotic theme?
