  1. Sounds like a cool idea, but maybe it would be easier to do it in the last part of the queue at ground level, then making those hot air things a bit easier.
  2. And the faxt there are dual vertical drops double the exitement. Initially the ride was going to feature an inline twist but they ditched that idea. A difference to g5 and Oblivon is that it will have 3 car trains. and dive machines have tons of blocks so this ride will really handle the lines. Now the dive machine ride system is being used to its potential i would now actually like to see one here as its not just a one trick pony anymore
  3. Just speed the lifts and the catch car return, and reduce the holding time at the top to and average of 10 seconds, with a few random hold times chucked in to spice things up, ranging from an immediate drop after it reaches the top, giving no time to prepare, to a 25 second torture session to really well up the fear.
  4. I thought this might be a fun game, many people have complained that DWs press releases and ride descriptions are just a huge blurb of bull and buzzwords, so if you were trying to market one of DWs rides, what would you say? eg: "Its Spinnin', Its Swingin', its in ya face, vomit time action on "the Claw", swing higher than a kid on red cordial and prepare for the thrill of your life...." ect, ect. Or maybe for GD: "do you want to experience the greatest queue of your life, then ride the giant drop..." Of course, i would never try to sell a ride with a rap like that, but anyway, have a go, this could be fun. BTW, has anyone actually wondered themselves what it would be like being strapped in an armchair in a washing machine, as from the WO spiel.
  5. Yeah, pizza hut rules, much better than that undersized, overcooked, barley topped place known as Dominos. Anyway, back to Haloweem, do you think they will get one of the carnival house of horror rides and set it up in Maloneys Corner.
  6. Sorry Paul, if I sounded mean im sorry, maybe there could be a profile for the good parks (DW, SW, MW), but for the rest of it have rides. Hey, I know, I know, there could be a profile for the start of a season (March, June, September, December) then for the seasons other two months, feature 2 rides from that park.
  7. Hmmm yeah, its probably the same reason we dont have Thanksgiving celebrations at parks. And Paul, i have been meaning to ask, whats with the pizza hut Avatar?
  8. Do i really want to be staring at a pic of MM for a month, and correct me if im wrong, but i dont think richo has AW pics, i think id rather just be looking at rides. BTW richo, put me on the maybe list, its a matter of getting my parents to buy me something on the credit card.
  9. Do we have enough parks to have a profile for every month?

The only thing updated was the Terra Forming, which by the way was very nice, but trackwork and building technique is more important. Make sure all your coasters are tunnel tested, basically this is a way of checking for collisions, just select all track segments, go into the segment dialogue box and tick the tunnel box. Then ride the coaster, if anything protrudes into the tunnels then they are too close for saftey reasons.
  11. Well, If im forking out rip off prices for food, i think Id want to make sure what I got wasnt horrible. nad anyway, most park guide sites have food guides for the park so i would consider it good advice. $7.90 for a hotdog  what do you get with it when you say the lot? Id be hoping for tons of cheese and relish and all other sorts of stuff.

Yeah, Ole is an Independent Developer working out of his own pockets and being good enough to give us free updates, and ripping off him is much worse than a big corporation that spits out crud like Wacky Worlds.
  13. I think the scare came from being in the hat, it was like being in some wierd room without a floor, but when I was there the screens were covered in chunder or someting and were off, why didnt they just mount the TVs on a track (similar to track lighting) so the TVs could simply be haued in and be cleaned, serviced etc.

Ok Slick, you asked for it: Fireball- Same comments as the last time i rated this, good ride, but unoriginal 8/10 Oblivion- Nice and high, but it cant even complete the ride because it crashes, dont ever submit a ride without testing. there was lots of pumping in the wraparound Imellman, and the top support was too close for comfort. It was also undersupported, there was a whole 40 m long section of track without supports. 3/10 Raptor Vengance, nice layout, but still the same problems as before (including an exessivley long and uneven turn back to the station and a painful tophat) 6/10 Corkscrew Classic, Still same problems as before (including multiple collisions, non straight MCBR, rough) 5.5/10 Blade, Dont use the excuse of a ride being for enthusiast as an exuse for sloppy G force managment, i died toward the end of the ride because my head hit a support, The terra was nice and it had some nice airtime, I dont get the MCBR since you only need them if running 3 or more trains. Lateral got too high in places, and being an enthusiast or not doesnt make high lateral gs any less painful. The layout was good also but try to avoid having long, wide and uneventful turns as the main substance of the ride. 7/10 Black Nova: Still the same problems as before (including the train not parking properly in the unload station (those in the front car cant get out) also, there were lenghty sections of vertical track that had no supports 6.5/10 Dont know why you bothered posting 4 old tracks without any problems fixed when we can see them here . Try to take my advice on board, and prehaps alter these tracks to solve the problems.
  15. Were Rob and Ellisa allowed to advertise their japan update?
  16. Well, Id glady say goodbye to some of that time at the top if meant a shorter queue, i think they should program a random time between 0 and 15 seconds, at one end of the scale you have some time for the fear to well up, but at the other end the car is dropped after 0 seconds and you are caught complety of gaurd and have no time to prepare for the drop. It would be programed to mainly hover around the 10 second mark with some variations at each end of the scale to spice things up. Just whack a speaker up there with a heartbeat, that will scare the punters.
  17. I kind of like the text, maybe it could be easier to just have ride stats, multiple images are good to as they give a good overall look at the ride. Also, what are the dimensions?
  18. We unfortuantely cant have an air launch to the top, the limit of the technology was pretty much hit with Power Tower at CP according to S&S power, so we can throw that idea in the bin. A faster winch would be the easiest answer. So, how windy would it be at the top, maybe DW could make some more money, and also add some interest by letting Pacific Hydro put a wind turbine at the top, it could help with the parks power supply, for example by giving enough power so all rides could run at once.
  19. I reckon just replace the winches with a fast lifting system, like the ones they use in the bigger office towers of today.
  20. One issue that may arise is the proximity to skylink, which may be why there is no 3rd track. Alternativley, instead of a ring, why not a good ol super wide set of seats http://www.zamperla.com/immaginiFoto/detta...kydrop2_400.jpg, just add some bracing to cope with the gs.
  21. I reckon if AW were to get a new teen market ride they should get a Gerstlauer Eurofighter, a good little coaster that doesnt cost too much, but it has four inversions and a steeper than vertical drop.
  22. I thought the biggest one was as Sunway Lagoon, also, there is one in South Africa which is pretty big too.
  23. I suppose thats a good point, the idea was more just to ensure kids had enough to do, and there was a good balance of thrill and kids rides, so do you think it looked tacky? and if you felt like getting wet, would have it been a fun ride.
  24. I thought it would be good as there is not really a water ride at DW aimed squarley at kids, it could have a spongebob theme and maybe the slide tubes could be hidden in a building, the slides would be in a pair designed as a racing ride. It would just be a kids ride and would not act as a major ride, mainly just as a fun thing to do that would suit all weather
