  1. I just don't like the idea of building apon the existing one. Or, demolishing it. Think about it, the money that would be spent on demolishing it then rebuilding it up the back there could be spent (put towards) on a new ride/attraction like a monorail or even if the cost (put towards) of demolishing/rebuilding is enough to build a new coaster. Also. I'd be a longer walk for those who parked up the back there, seeming you'd demolish the existing one. Your right with that. I can see where your coming from. Silly me. Oh well. It was only a idea. Maybe they could fill up this space with a massive coaster? Like has the car park extended then have a coaster flying out over the car park. Sorta like that coaster in the Blue Mountains thing. Orphan Rocker, I think it is.
  2. Yes, I guess. But the cost to do that would be a lot. When you could build around it. Lets hear someone else's opion on this. Like Gazza or Richard!
  3. You don't have to wait to go on tram. You could walk it too. There would be shops etc on the way. It'd be like a continuation of the Main Street/Midway thing. Also. Movie World isn't Dream World. And, I'm glad for that. And, building on the existing car park would be like, what Luna Park does. It looks ugly, and ugh. Yucky.
  4. You also must take into effect, that U.S has like 2 + amusement parks in each state. We only have 5 in QLD, 2 in NSW, 1 in WA and 1 in VIC [talking bout majors]. Also, U.S is a bigger country. Which also is another reason why they have more coasters.
  5. Why not, keep the car park as it is? And build around the car park? I've edited the picture Gazza posted on here. To show my idea/example. Cyan colour line = a monorail/tram. This would be used to transport the park guests to the new section of the park. Within this monrail/tram area. It would house some new rides. And a new roller coaster that would hang out over the car park like the Monorail at Sea World currently does. I'd like to maybe see a floorless coaster go here or a flying coaster. It would give park guests the feeling of 'flying' out over the car park. I just think bulldozing part of the car park then, rebuilding it would be a longer alternative. Because they'd have to hire people to demolish the section of the car park. Then, rebuilt it. When they could just build a transport ride to take guests to the newer section. Maybe they could make this new section themed to something. I'd love to see a horror themed area. Maybe this could be it.
  6. Why not? It keeps people thinking it's not going. It even gives them the option to 'buy' more time while thinking of what to replace it with. After all, Dream World is a owned by a big corporation. And, big corporations do silly stupid, stupid things . Of course, this may not be the fact for Dream World and Macquarie Leisure. But, we must take this into count. Thats true. I agree with you there. Even if it is closed. I'd rather see board the ride up than putting up temporary fencing. I think everyone agrees with you here. I've been getting the feeling that they're just not in the race anymore. Maybe they think that Movie World has pulled to far out in front, and they should quit while they can? Like I said above, Big corporations do silly stupid, stupid things. I think this maybe another one of those silly stupid things. When Dream World just can't look at the clear picture of what happened to WonderLand. I guess time will only tell?
  7. Me, personally, I don't care about any firsts or anything. I'd just like to see a nice, enjoyable ride. And, if they're a first. Bonus! They shouldn't be chasing after them. Even though I've said before they should. I still don't believe they should, as we'd never see it happen here on Australia shores.
  8. If this ride operator dies, or gets compo... Who will pay the price, Luna Park or the ride owners?
  9. I'm guessing you went to Luna Park in Melbourne? Can you please explain what this Prison Break thingy is? Got any pictures of it?
  10. Thats a mad I idea. I really like it. Creative mind there! Peter, does this SplashBattle goes fast? Can it be made to have a little coaster section in it?
  11. The point of having the coaster go out there is.. no point. Other than having it racing through the bush and a nice long coaster. It's really what Australia needs. We need something with massive drops, amazing helix's and a nice long ride that is worth the line out. Even though TOT is an okay ride, it is not worth the 1hr + long line up. Maybe they could theme in around one of Big Brothers tasks? That some how you've been elected into the Big Brother house. And then, he gives a group of people a task, to ride then ____ (name goes here) coaster. Just an idea?
  12. Maybe they could bulldoze the volcano, and then re-build it? I'd just really like to see them do another style entry like they did with Cyclone and Tower Of Terror (station inside building etc). Ok, well that's out of the question. Maybe they could stick with the Australian First? Do you think they'd be able to make the coaster head down past Rocky Hollow Log Ride, then circle around the Big Brother area? More to the point, don't want to spend that much to make a brillant ride!
  13. No offence. But your posts are really pointless! On the otherhand, I do agree they need a Intamin Hyper/Mega coaster! I wouldn't mind seeing them keeping the fake volcano in the Blue Lagoon area. And having the station inside the volcano. Then, you come straight out and up the cable car lift hill. If it's possible, I'd even love to see the ride go up the side through the bushes of Rocky Hollow Log Ride and circle around the Big Brother house. Maybe Dream World could go for an Australian First (Intamin Hyper/Mega Coaster) and a World Record (Word's longest & fastest)? I never went to the Blue Lagoon area. But maybe they could try to make/theme it to a 'Pacific Island' area. And in the middle, is the massive volcano? But to do this, They'd need to create a river around the area, Which sadly would cost a lot. (Plus it's called Dream World, We can all dream on.. right? ) Anyways. That'd my 2 cents worth. What you guys think? I'll try to create my idea on RCT2 and take some screen shots for you guys.
  14. Great pictures! Has anyone got any pictures of the Cyclone/Temple Of Huey? I really wanta see how they've done this. Is there fences around Cyclone?
  15. your forgetting, Behind Wild West Falls are houses. There isn't much more room Movie World has left. They need to start using the already themed areas more, like they have started with Gotham City (batwing & batman adventure ride). Movie World really needs to up the Looney Tunes area. Make it more modern. Bring it back. I havn't even seen a Looney Tunes cartoon on TV for ages!
  16. Scrap it. Put in Charlie And The Chocolate Factory! Enough said. I think Charlie And The Chocolate Factory will be a much better option for the park. Keep up with the modern times. Looney Tunes suck (own opinon) If they were to replace it. I'd love to see it much more of a thrill ride, while sticking the kiddies theme. Maybe more of the coaster part? Also, you really need to get wet on the ride! They should also open a little part of the ride, so the public can see you face like on Wild West Falls.
  17. What is this Splash Battle that your park has? I agree with you that we need another water ride. But, I personally couldn't see MW building another one in the next 2 years. IF MW was to replace any rides, I'd like them to get rid of the Looney Tunes one, replace it with something orientated around Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory!
  18. Do you think we'd ever seem them open up the island that the 'Captain Sturt Paddle Wheeler' travels around for rides/attractions? I'll agree there. I love the look of the tangle tracks, it gives the 'out of control' sense to the ride. I also love those last minute s-bends etc.
  19. Pointless post, again!! That's a good idea. I'd like to see this happen. Then, they just need to get the ride operators to dress up like policemen. Also, with these vests. Are they like a one size fits all, or do you have like Large, Medium, small?
  20. I wouldn't mind seeing one of those Launched SLC going in on the island that the 'Captain Sturt Paddle Wheeler' travels around. Or, in the spot ThunderBolt was but closer to Tiger Island. Where did you get this information from etc?
  21. Pattieboi, I'd love to see that style ride. It'd be pretty awsome. I'd love to fly over the style upside down!
  22. I wouldn't mind seeing something on a similar scale but with a different theme, however I'm not sure if this would fit at Dreamworld. It's obvious it wouldn't fit in Eureka's current area. Maybe something similar at Movieworld? They could maybe make the fake mountain in Wild West bigger to include this style of ride? I wouldn't mind seeing a vertical lift going in. It'd actually be really good, themed to a mine shaft. Great idea Joz! If they did this, it'd really start to compete with Scooby?
  23. Great trip report. Sounds like you had fun. I'd like to see this Prison Break Live thingy at Luna Park Sydney.
  24. Adam, Don't get me wrong. I like the fact of indoor coasters, and the never ending ideas you can come up with how to theme a coaster. What I'm trying to point out though, I (personally) hate seeing that crappy white colourbond! It's ugly. If they themed or did something more with the colourbond, it'd look a lot better. Also, If Movieworld's next ride is an indoor ride. I'd love to see it coming in and out of the building. Something similar to what Superman Escape does.
  25. I'm glad because it's copying another ride. It'd be pointless. Thats why I'd hate them to copy Expedition Everest, even though how majorly cool it looks/sounds. I'd still hate it. If Dreamworld were to copy any part of the ride I'd rather it be the reverse part and the mountain (minus the snow/ice).
