  1. It’s really bad, my kid won’t stop going on about carp.

  2. Perhaps, but few theme parks are getting the same massive level of investment as Energylandia. Apparently their government contributes to it. A fairer comparison would be to compare SW to parks with similar attendance levels, and without massive financial backing.

  3. Something else I noticed as I went past WnW. There were only a couple dozen cars in the carpark. WnW is definitely running at lost right now. I’m surprised they just didn’t wait until the September holidays to reopen

  4. I wonder if final judgement of the entire precinct should be reserved until it's actually completed? What we're seeing is stage one. From all accounts, the majority of the theming was going to be applied to Leviathan and surrounds

  5. In my opinion, the idea of Atlantis isn’t great for a theme park. Because it’s not actually underwater, you can’t really have much of the small details which really seal the idea of and underwater city. A way that they could have done it is by theming the area around if the water level dropped and atlantis was above sea level. they could have had expansive theming with vines and seaweed covering the buildings and structures, and large ruined buildings. Seaworld kind of dug themselves in a hole by trying to replicate something that’s meant to be underwater, above water.

  8. Even some walls and a forced perspective hole isn't that good. rappas pic of Talocan above I think sums up the benchmark for top spin rides. Even if you didn't do such huge theming, the way the stonework looks gives it real character, and you could do some other thing like "Wrath of {Atlantean Character}" If they were determined to do a vortex themed ride, then do it with a spinning ride which more readily lends itself to arranging columns etc around it in a concentric manner, as if they are being sucked towards the ride.

  9. Here’s my idea for a anime theme park based on all the anime I’ve watched I’ll start with Pokémon I would make that like the kids area like looney tunes at movie world it would have some kind of dark ride and a few flat rides like a frog hopper themed around magikarp. Next is a my hero academia I think a anime about hero’s could make a great land I would make a coaster based the first ua high training bit where the teacher lied about the guy who got the least amount of points gets expelled and another few flat rides like a toxic scrambler where it could be like your fighting with the other students to take down a villain. My final area would be based on the anime re:zero if you’ve never heard of it it’s basically about a guy who gets transported to a new world and every time he dies he goes back to a certain point in time so he can change what happens to keep going on the adventure I recommend you watch it’s really good but anyway I would make a dark ride based on the final fight with that vampire girl where the trade for the insignia happens and a roller coaster based on the main guy (can’t remember his name) trying to get back the insignia that Emilia needs to get a king to help rule the land and that’s what I think a anime theme park should be like
