  1. You only have to look to Star Tours to see how modern graphics, the amazing dolby 3D technology and kick ass motion basses can still be a thrilling ride system in 2020. As we've kind of been discussing above... it's all about the content.

  2. I didnt say bring them back as in 1995. Besides, much the same could be said for most of the rides mentioned, time isnt kind to a lot of old animatronics and effects. But youre also selling them short by saying they are the same as you get at timezone though. They arent even in the same ball park, the batman ones were fully fledged hydraulic motion bases used in flight simulators. Learning to fly planes, space shuttles, etc. They were barely being utilised in the ride. Theres footage of them from underneath and in use in the promotional film on the parks from the early 2000's.

  3. There is zero financial sense for Disney in opening a park here. We won’t have the population, nor the international tourist numbers, to make it viable let alone profitable.

  4. The outside jet streams with the three dips you'd get Airborne on. And Bermuda with Fire.

  5. Spend money on decent video/animation and leave the projectors. They arent the issue. Miss the batman ride. Even just the library was cool. Those simulators were great. Wonder where they ended up after they were removed.

  6. I'd rather have a six flags or Universal Studios.

  7. And if we did get one, it would be at the scale (if not smaller) than the Hong Kong one. And people here would not be impressed by a ‘small’ Disney park. Especially when the general public only ever see the American ones in the spot light

  8. I understand the loss of nostalgia when it comes to this kind of thing - I wasn't happy when they decided to re-theme Tower of Terror but at the same time, I understand the need to update and modernise (as I think most people in these forums do). Yes, the ride itself doesn't feature any of the racist subject matter of Song of the South, but to say this is a result of propaganda and cancel culture is a little extreme. I think this re-theme has been a long time coming and whilst it probably has been pushed forward by current events I don't see how anyone could see this as a negative step forward, as wiping out even the slightest traces of racism in popular culture is something that needs to continue to happen. A film about a slave plantation has no reason to be featured in a Disney Park, regardless of whether that storyline is evident on Splash Mountain or not. Lots of people will miss the ride, no one is saying you're not allowed to because I know I certainly will.

  9. Pretty sure Walt Disney himself said that he never wanted a ride to stay the same forever and he wanted people to have different experiences. The ride may be a classic but it's a no brainer to re-theme, a new generation will love this.
